Boy they must've been desperate for a mystery house, that thing was nothing like what she asked for! First was best for her, I liked the 2nd one better but I don't need land. People think it's wonderful having a lot of animals but it's solid work. All I need is a couple of chickens and 500 cats LOL
First house was perfect with two acres. Mystery house was too modern and right in the middle of a busy village.
Why would they even show her that third house? That is nothing like what she wants. I know they tried to show the mystery house is something outside of what they're looking for, but that was the complete other end of the spectrum.
I think they wanted her to consider an alternative. Community vs isolation. A few veg and chickens or cat or dog rather than larger animals. People can get caught up in romantic ideas without really thinking things through.
Uploading glitch after 26 minutes marred this otherwise episode of good audio, visual and editing quality.
The mystery house didn't match what Julie was looking for: remote with a lot of land for animals...very disappointing.
I really liked the first house. The second house was nice but the land thing, okay as long as its available for rent. Third house was beautiful but not my taste. I prefer a more cozy and soft house!
1st house would have been my choice . I can't believe how expensive houses are in England .. Back when this was filmed I bought a two story stone cottage on 100 acres with a five car garage totally off the grid for 128,000 pounds . $245,000 AU 12 km and 18 km to the nearest villages..

The first house seemed to be just what she asked for. I would remove as much as possible of the wall between the living room and the stairs to open it up and make use of that wasted space. Mystery house was awful.

I did like the first house. The mystery house was too sterile. For me I would have to do major renovations and flip the rooms of house to put living space downstairs. I’m glad there are farmers keeping heritage apple breeds alive. A difference between US and UK is how we treat apples. If apples are going to be pressed for 100% juice or non-alcoholic cider (much more popular in the US than alcoholic cider), it is illegal to use dropped apples. After multiple outbreaks of deadly HUS (caused by E. coli) and salmonellosis in fresh fruit juices, FDA passed regulations forbidding using dropped fruit because of potential contamination from animals grazing in orchards. Businesses selling the juice/cider or using a 3rd party press are required to meet the regulations, which also include pathogen reduction (usually in the form of pasteurization). Making cider/juice is not regulated. Since FDA used the Public Health Act for communicable diseases, in-state sales are included in the regulation.

The show is not complete until you know that the result of the set-up is. It’s like filming 1 plus 1 equals…..? What goes on here?
