Even though Loan and CC spam can get on your nerve, those guys usually drop the call as soon as you deny their services. But these fake charity ones are extremely annoying. They will disturb you for days even after rejecting any interesting in their cause. We seriously need stronger data protection laws.

DND was not introduced in 2016 , it was there since early 2008. All we had to do was send SMS or click VAS option to activate with nominal fee.
Block call from unknown number krne par issue ye hai ke delivery walo jaise amazon aur Flipkart ke delivery wale bhi block ho jayenge. Aur agar humne koi saman order kiya hai to wo call krte rhenge aur hamare end se call block hoti rahegi

Samsung provide *caller id & spam protection* service.
It helps a lot. Similar like True caller.
One should check if similar feature is available in other Androids.
If you get any Spam call after activating DND, you can complain against that company on the TRAI DND 3.O app. The number gets permanently suspended within 3 days and that company won't EVER call you back. Trust me it works and it has significantly reduced my Spam Calls. I barely get spam calls once or twice a month!!

@@LabourLawAdvisor Yeah many users have complained that it doesn't fetch the call logs properly because of which they're not able to report the number. But for me personally though it works perfectly fine. I really wish that they fix these issues asap!!
I use that, but after report, those shows shows Not a UCC, preference not blocked, CDR not match, service sms etc.
But calls were reduced when blocked preference was only transaction communication. Which is not useful, because then we do not get needed sms.
So, had to change back to block except transaction & service.
Yes, I get spam calls like hell. So I changed number 😅😂.never give it to any internet neither bank.

if law makers are really serious, then Just fine 1000 rs per spam call or msg.
But corrupt politician will make a 1000 page law intentionally with loopholes. So they can profit from it.

No amount of regulations or rules could stop Tele marketing calls. I run a Credit Card DSA in offline mode and have deep insight in the matter. User phone data is sold in market by none other than mobile network operators.
For people only way is to deny the service and block their number.

I have made complaints of many callers. One day, I have got around 4 times call from a caller. I have rejected her offer and told her to stop harassment. After call disconnect, they have given around 30+ one star review on my google business profile. My google profile moved down from 4.8 to 1.2. I have tried to remove these reviews from Google support, but all was in vain.
Agar unko block kar dunga to muze phone kiska aayega?

I get calls almost every day from private institute, college.
Currently i have blocked more than 500 to 600 numbers.

This is actually helpful. Atleast some spams will be reduced.
I use Truecaller premium, it's pretty good for blocking like 8/10 spam calls and messages. Doesn't cost a lot too, like 500 bucks a year

I get calls like this once every 2 days. Now I tell them my salary is only 15000. They hang up the call from their end even if I ask them I really need 1,00,000 loan from them. . .
if you own a Galaxy phone you "CAN" help yourself and others...there is a function to stop this in its settings by activate HIYA services...once you report a number as spam it gets listed and will be blocked automatically on yours and others people phones...and if reported by someone else it will be rejected automatically on your phone and will be shown as "suspected spam" in call list.
Don't do this... Or you will miss your delivery boy, your job interview, or your future husband / wife..!!!😅
Arey.. everything!! Property, credit card, personal loan, housing loan, health/life/car insurance, donation, self/child education, immigration, investments, salon services, and I don’t think there is any topic left where I didn’t get spam calls, emails and messages. I even request them to delete my number, but within sometime they call from different number. They have even choked up my mailbox!! 😢

I registered one of my parents on the do not disturb registry but it made zero difference. I have since found out a better solution. I let the spam call come. Then I block that number using the block feature in android itself. After sometime, all the spam numbers have been added to my blocklist. Now I can have at least relatively less spam calls ... 😊

The easiest thing the trai can do is create a Truecaller like app and start identifying spammers and penalizing them concurrently to deter others. Everybody will be at peace with this but I'm sure they'll not do it
till that time True Caller Automatically block calls on my phone :) I never ever pick up such useless calls due to this facility.

कंपनी एप्प पर Dnd complain करने पर msg आएगा की unregister telemarket person को नोटिस issue कर दीया हैं. थोड़े टाइम्स बाद दूसरे नंबर से फिर से वहीं person कर कॉल चालू. उस कि complain करो तो फिर वहीं msg आएगा unregister telemarket person. थोड़े टाइम्स बाद old वाले नंबर भी बंध हो गया है, ऐसा msg operates कंपनी का आएगा against Dnd complain. But still कॉल तो आते ही hai
