  • Artist: David Bowie
    Album: Station to Station
    Release Date: 1976
    Label: Au20/Rykodisc
Oh, amore mio, stringiti a me
Perché siamo come creature nel vento, e folle è il vento,
    Folle è il vento
    RITORNELLO
Come le foglie si stringono agli alberi
Oh, amore mio, stringiti a me
Perché siamo come creature nel vento, e folle è il vento,
    Folle è il vento
Love me, love me, love me, say you do
Let me fly away with you
For my love is like the wind, and wild is the wind
    Wild is the wind
Give me more than one caress, satisfy this hungriness
Let the wind blow through your heart
For wild is the wind, wild is the wind
    CHORUS
    You touch me,
I hear the sound of mandolins
    You kiss me
With your kiss my life begins
You're spring to me, all things to me
Don't you know, you're life itself!
Like the leaf clings to the tree,
Oh, my darling, cling to me
For we're like creatures of the wind, and wild is the wind
    Wild is the wind
    CHORUS
Like the leaf clings to the tree,
Oh, my darling, cling to me
For we're like creatures in the wind, and wild is the wind
    Wild is the wind

I love this song. I love David Bowie. Rest in Peace. You are a guiding light through the darkness and a beacon of hope and inspiration. Sadness, Condolences, tears. Very distressing news today. Wild is the Wind that sweeps the small time we all have on Earth. Gift of Music he gave of his Heart, His Soul to Live forever in the Spirit of his Music!

+Jim Brennan This beautiful and popular song was written by Russian-American film score composer/conductor (three time Oscar winner) Dimitri Tiomkin and lyricist Ned Washington (two time Oscar winner). It was written for the movie of the same title and nominated for an Academy Award in 1958. It was sung by Johnny Mathis at the Oscars. I absolutely LOVE Bowie's interpretation. It is absolutely beautiful.

Love me, love me, love me, love me
    Say you do
    Let me fly away
    With you
    For my love is like
    The wind
    And wild is the wind
    Wild is the wind
    Give me more
    Than one caress
    Satisfy this
    Hungriness
    Let the wind
    Blow through your heart
    For wild is the wind
    Wild is the wind
    You
    Touch me
    I hear the sound
    Of mandolins
    You
    Kiss me
    With your kiss
    My life begins
    You're spring to me
    All things
    To me
    Don't you know you're
    Life itself
    Like a leaf clings
    To the tree
    Oh my darling,
    Cling to me
    For we're like creatures
    Of the wind
    Wild is the wind
    Wild is the wind
    You
    Touch me
    I hear the sound
    Of mandolins
    You
    Kiss me
    With your kiss
    My life begins
    You're spring to me
    All things
    To me
    Don't you know you're
    Life itself
    Like a leaf clings
    To the tree
    Oh my darling,
    Cling to me
    For we're like creatures
    In the wind
    And wild is the wind
    Wild is the wind
    Wild is the wind
    Wild is the wind
    Wild is the wind
