He always just seemed to be there as an artist I don't think I valued just how fantastic and talented he was until his death and then I realised just how lovely and charismatic he was if that makes sense. David Bowie is my celestial valentine this year
I'll bet when Iman listens to this, she is proud, and overwhelming sad at the same time. From all accounts, she embodies these lyrics for him, decades after he first covered this awesome song. Nina Simone's version is awesome as well. RIP, Starman.
God.., that voice with NEVER be replaced. I remember watching Friday Night Videos and seeing the video for timid song and becoming a life long fan... I think that was 1986.
