We recently four Yellowjacket nests inside of our home (walls) from outside! Not to mention there is a ground nest in the plants near the door. Scary! Seems like they enjoy being near each other.
Some 40 years ago I stood in the bucket of a "cherry picker" to collect a D. maculata nest (like the one in this video) in the Cherry Point, NC area. I hadn't thought about this for many years, until I saw this video.

Why’d they want to get rid of that one? It’s 15 feet up in the air.
They can and will still attack. 15 feet isn't much space for a hornet flying 30 miles per hour.
