I have an outside cat that's a female brown tabby and the temperatures here at the beach in Myrtle beach SC don't usually get to cold but it's supposed to get down to 20° next weekend. She sleeps on the porch in a chair that has old blankets on it now all curled up and she doesn't like to be inside the house. I'm really worried about her come next weekend. She's been here for about 2 years or more and we are very close.
79 degrees is not too hot I have mine set on 70 and they still lay in front of the heater and under blankets They like it at 75. To 80 but I would be sweating
How do I know my strictly indoor cat is cold? When I lay on the sofa, she wiggles her fat, fuzzy butt between me and the back of the sofa. I made warm boxes for the outdoor ferals, complete with old fuzzy pajamas.
Allergies to cats are usually caused by cat dander. That's cat dandruff. If you hunt around in pet supply stores, you can often find cat food and treats, usually pastes, that promote healthy skin and coat. My house is dry, which gives me dry sinuses and my cat dry skin. Put them together and let the sneezing fits commence. But I give her a tasty medicated paste once a week and it's all fine.😸

#2: Your cat doesn't love you, it's just cold
Me: Noted
My fur baby burrows under the bed clothes. He loves it under there.
Thank you so much
I have a 10 month old Ragdoll. My floors are pretty cold and she likes to go under the bed so I bought self-warming pads, but she still sits on the cold floor. I have a warm and fuzzy cat bed that she just refuses to get on. She’s always on the couch or on her scratching pad by the balcony door. She’s never cuddling. She’ll lie down next to me, but will not cuddle. This morning I felt her ears were cold and so was her nose. I cuddled her for a bit to warm her up, but she’s not a fan of that. ☹️
If you don't know fur is to protect them from the sun rather than keeping them warm, you should be watching more cat videos😹. I'm amazed at the amount of time my cat spends outside - its around 5 degees Centigrade here at the moment, he doesn't seem bothered...
Cat's fur isn't designed to keep them warm.
@@larrym5120that’s what they said 💀
Evolution isn't purposeful, so if there is a mutation that provides two benefits, it is even more likely to be passed on.
Fur has LOTS of ways that help out cats
I thought they had fur to protect them in these conditions
lol my old man sleeps under a quilt and covers then just sleeps by my head when he pops out
My fur baby is a blanket baby. He likes to be covered up with his baby blanket when he is sleeping.
Cat is cold when it starts stealing your electric blanket
My kittens thought 67 was too hot & chose to sleep in the absolute coldest spot (( sometimes / lol ))
Well tbf with you i prefer hot i dislike room temperature its cold for me if its room temperature thats why i need 3 heaters on max even if it means im boiling my kitten comes to my room and sleeps in my room because its the hottest out of all rooms sometimes i feel like i over heat my kitten but when i touch his fur it cold but his body is really warm i hate winter and i hate the cold i love being warm
My cat doesn't have this problem. If it gets cold, it just steals my blankets. 😅
0:13 I have totally wondered 😂
They love to lay on those discs you heat in the microwave
It is cold right now.He is snuggled under a quilt in my guest room.😉
I have an outside cat that's a female brown tabby and the temperatures here at the beach in Myrtle beach SC don't usually get to cold but it's supposed to get down to 20° next weekend. She sleeps on the porch in a chair that has old blankets on it now all curled up and she doesn't like to be inside the house. I'm really worried about her come next weekend. She's been here for about 2 years or more and we are very close.
Be sure the blankets don't get wet from dew. You can use an old insulated cooler to put the pad in . That will help them conserve heat.
@@rhyta5042 the blanket definitely stays dry. I'm thinking about putting my personal heating pad out there for her to sleep on also
Dives under the blanket with you.
"loaf" 😁
They like hot but they like a little cold too ☺️
23°C is the max my cats can stand.
I would try to bring her in she just has to get used to it it takes time then you can make her an indoor outdoor cat
They sleep with you.
79 degrees is not too hot I have mine set on 70 and they still lay in front of the heater and under blankets They like it at 75. To 80 but I would be sweating
The cat in the thumbnail looks like my cat
How do I know my strictly indoor cat is cold? When I lay on the sofa, she wiggles her fat, fuzzy butt between me and the back of the sofa. I made warm boxes for the outdoor ferals, complete with old fuzzy pajamas.
My cat is not a cuddle cat at all. She hates to be under blankets. So if she seems cold she won't let me snuggle her. She figures it out on her own.
Not my 11 YO girl. She demands to go outside in the cold. I keep it warm in the house. No idea why.
Meow😸
If only if I had one😭 I can't have one in my group home because it would cost extra and my roommate Justice is allergic to them
Allergies to cats are usually caused by cat dander.
@wendy ~ Maybe your group home parents or helpers take you once a week or so to help socialize cats and kittens at a local shelter! That would be nice for you and help the cats too! 💕
@hollyavillella554
Yeah that's a good idea I could help take care of cats in a shelter but there's no shelter close by in need a volunteer
@@wendyphipps7865 I'm sorry about that, Wendy! I remember a time I, too, wanted a kitten like you. Maybe contact the local veterinarian and ask if there are any "Therapy" kittens you could engage with outside of your home. Are there any Cat Cafes in your area? I do hope your dream will come true, dear! 🩷🙏
You're Cat will, Put it's paws down on you and let you know there cold 🥶🥶🥶
They have fur, they’re fine lol. Mine are indoor and are happy curling up in bed with me or on sherpa blankets etc
Agree. My outdoor cat does fine in -10 weather in Minnesota.
@@susannebenouna4241Doesn't mean you can't provide cover for them to stay warm
Most cats are lactose intolerant. Why do you show, multiple times, a cat drinking milk?
and shivering! Poor kitty
Lacto-free milk?
Right. Cats don't need milk after they are weaned. Many cats adapt somewhat to milk and cheese, but it is not good for them and contributes to too many health problems in later life, esp kidneys.
Even 5 degrees below room temperature can make cat sick
number 3 . lol most cats sleep in balls
Lethargy? When I had cats, I knew it was time to turn the heat up when they literally started bouncing off the walls.
I want to ask you something
My cat is acting weird like she only eat in the morning and night not in the afternoon and evening although she eats lot and she meows weirdly like a cackle when I pick her up but looks and play normally only in the morning plz tell me and also hiding

Is ice water ok for cats?

The air gets colder around you.
My Boo won't go outside on the balcony if it is single digits or colder out. She's a big suck. 😂
