GRS Preshaped Gravers

GRS C-Max and GlenSteel preshaped gravers have just gotten easier to use. By adding two flat alignment areas on the shank of the graver, you can now save time and orient them accurately. The set screws on GRS QC Tool Holders will contact the flat spots of the graver, ensuring that the graver is loaded accurately. This will save time sharpening and create less headache when pairing a graver and QC tool holder.

Do the glensteel gravers work well on (unhardened) carbon steel?
Or do you recommend the c-max gravers for that?

We would recommend the C-Max. It is a harder metal, and will hold it's edge longer.

Do the preshaped gravers still have to be sharpened before use?

Hey Martha Dickey,
We recommend using a 1200 plate just to knock off any burs or anything that might be on it. Then, polish and you are good to go.
