I just turned 50 and my teenage daughters used to be obsessed. I teased them mercilessly. Dynamite and On came out they showed me and got me hooked. I've been ARMY about a year and a half.
Same here. My teenage daughter is obsessed and i teased her mercilessly too. I never ever thought i'll become one of their army. But yeah! Here i am. i love all of them now. Thanks for excisting BTS. I respect and adore you.
Me too 1-1/2 yrs with Dope. Love their personal messages of hope, despair, love, hate; light and dark. Love their compassion, respect, hard work. I’m a 70 yr old grandma and am obsessed! My adult daughter scolds me for always being on my phone! Im also on the singing app Smule; singing my heart out to BTS songs. I’m gonna try to get tickets to their LA concert in Nov!!
@@AndrewBergSax Hi, greetings from Mexico City 💜💜. Yes, please react to Ida's introduction video, it's updated and very well done. I loved your reaction. Congratulations on your marriage. I just subscribed 🥳🥳
@@AndrewBergSax yes, I was going to recommend this as well. If you are going down the rabbit hole it will help immensely to know who the players are and where they come from. 💜
@@armyswhoblinkonce2711 different places. There is one Russian army that collects the info about their places. She uses official sources like Korean web sites where they publish info on purchases and so on. Also Korean media. Just recently we found out that Jimin and Namjoon bought apartments. But actually they have been ranting them since 2019 and now they bought them. Also the guys basically told us themselves. JK said he was going to take the leftover food home and he was at the dorm at that time. So obviously home wasn't there.
Andrew if an ARMY say BTS saved their life they aren't lying. They have told us to love ourselves, speak ourselves because of them people like me no longer try to fit in the mold created by our society we discover ourselves, our personality cause we know no matter if someone gonna support or not but BTS always gonna do support us. The song in the background is zero o clock it's lyrics are really good which help people in hard times.
@flyushkifly I'm so glad you found them when you did. I've seen many similar comments and it's truly amazing that BTS can help that many people in such an amazing way
@@AndrewBergSax what @Shreya said is soo true. you'll even see some older ARMY's document it in some YT videos. As for me, I'm a 44 y/o ARMY Mom and i can attest to that. BTS has been a source of strength and joy for me now. They pulled me from a very dark place. Our boys can bring a smile to my face every single time. You will also see that ARMY is VERY protective of BTS. and just rightfully so as they don't deserve all the hate and criticisms they get. you'll soon find that out from some of the videos, I'm sure.
I love the reaction. The relationship between BTS and ARMY really goes both ways. I have been in a few fandoms in my life, but this is really on another level. It's always interesting to see the clash with how the media usually perceive ARMY and how BTS perceive us. Sometimes, you have interviewers asking BTS about their fans in the same manner they would ask western artists. Like what was the craziest fan experience or something like that, fully expecting to hear a story about some crazy fangirl. Instead BTS talk about our projects and about how much they love us and admire us. I have literally never heard an artist talk about their fans with this amount of respect. Then, when they talk to us directly, they joke with us, post selfies to comfort us when they don't win an award and lately have been jokingly using us as a bargaining chip 😂. They know we're here for them when they need us and they in turn are ready to be here for us when we need them. For a video on individual members, I have seen someone mention Who Is BTS, but that is an outdated video, so I would highly suggest you react to an updated and more well-rounded video called "An introduction to the 7 members of BTS (2021 update)" by Ida S. It's honestly a much better video overall than the old version and doesn't go into stereotypes about the members' personalities, which the old video was unfortunately guilty of.
Yeah, I really started to get an understanding of how much mutual respect there is between BTS and ARMY. It definitely is nothing that I've seen before. And thanks for the recommendation, that definitely seems to be the most recommended one so far on this video!
@@AndrewBergSax the crazy fan question happened a few times, you can see how their faces turned from polite smiles to just pissed, one way to see if the interview is enjoyable is to see how many members are participating, if only 2-3 are talking, they didn't want to be there :) Edit: I wanna add that these mostly apply to English in person interviews pre covid, nowadays they just take the question as a topic to have fun amongst themselves/answer sarcastically in bad/repetitive interviews, they're more comfortable showing their annoyance now (maybe cuz it's online as well?)
@@AndrewBergSax BTS+ARMY=LOVE. (without each other we cease to exist, yet together we will never walk alone) It's a relationship I can't really describe except to say that we all want to be the best versions of ourselves for each other - BTS want to be people that their fans can proudly say they support, and we want to be people they would be proud to have in their fandom. These 7 young men are leading the most impressive positive social movement in history, a movement towards acceptance and respect for all people and our planet. I am just so happy that I have been born in these times that too can be a part of these positive changes that are making history and our planet a better place to be in.... check out our charity "One in an ARMY" to see how BTS inspire us to better our world.
I'm on my 30's and I feel like a teenager whenever I watched their clips and performances. Beware of jimin. He is very sneaky, he'll steal your time and heart without even noticing it.😉 have a happy bts journey brother!

I recommend you to watch 'An introduction to the 7 members of BTS" by Ida S. It's the most recent and the most professional introduction so far so I highly recommend it
@@AndrewBergSax yes please do! i recommend the newer introduction: "An introduction to the 7 members of BTS (2021 update)". the other one has way more views but is really outdated.
Congrats on the marriage, Andrew! Glad you decided to explore the BTS Universe further. The two Piano tracks at the beginning and end were covers of BTS Songs. The one at the beginning was "Your eyes tell" (which is actually my favourite BTS ballad, amazing live performance!). The one at the end was "00:00 (Zero O'Clock)", also a very beautiful song! xCeleste has amazing Guides, I'd recommend "Who is BTS?" next, to get a better feel for each of the members so you can enjoy their music and performance to the fullest. Excited for more, you're in for a ride! :]
@@djbullock2 I thought the same as you and almost wrote a comment to say that it’s Spring Day, but so many others said Zero O’Clock. I went back and listened and they were right. The slow piano is reminiscent of Spring Day, but it’s Zero O’Clock. Jump to 20:00 to hear it head into “ooh hoo, and you’re gonna be happy…” 💜
I know it gets kinda overwhelming when ARMY suggests a lot of BTS videos. But it only goes to show how much we want to share to other people the effect BTS has in our lives through their music and artistry💜

@@AndrewBergSax Yes, when they re-dedicated this last year they talked as well but you want to look at the original. It’s amazing, and I believe Namjoon was 24 when he wrote and read that. For that matter, their speech at the 2020 graduation gala last year, where they all took part and said their piece was excellent as well.
Stanning the group was never a decision that I regretted. I've been a fan for 5 years and I've grown together with them and I've matured so much because of them. And I just love them it's something special that I can't describe.
When you get a chance, I definitely recommend watching BTS’s 2018 UN speech, BTS’s Class of 2020 speech and BTS’s 2020 speech at 75th UN general assembly!
I am 54 yrs old living on a tiny Island of 5000 people in the Caribbean. They saying is " BTS come into our lives when we need them the most". I was going through a highly abusive relationship for years until I first heard of them. Learning about them and their messages...literally saved my life as I was in a very dark place. They gave me the strength to love myself and kick that man to the curb. Have never looked back since but I owe them my life. Every time I see a reactioners like yourself seeing that video for the first time - it makes me cry. Am wiping away tears right now but it's ok..cos they're happy tears lol. Towards the end when you mentioned 3 members becoming permanent members, thats in regards to the 'Korean Music Copyright Association' KOMCA is a Non-Profit Organization in South Korea that credits song writers, composers, and music publishers. all 7 members are apart of the organization since they have all written/composed music, but 3 members (RM, J-hope, and Suga) have now been promoted to permanent members because they have reached the number of credits to do so. Hope this helped, also congratulations on your marriage! 🤍
Thank you so much! I realized I misinterpreted the video while I was editing, but I still wasn't 100% sure so I didn't want to "correct" it to something also wrong. Thanks for this info!
@@AndrewBergSax I just have to warn you that this video needs some fact checking (especially their pre debut history) so I wouldn't really recommend it
@@AndrewBergSax dont do that one sir! go straight to the RISE OF BANGTAN series. THE BEST docu ever created for BTS by fans. so detailed ! and it place BTS in the context of the KPOP industry so damn good , you will feel like an old ARMY after this series
@@AndrewBergSax It's a very sugar coated version focussing only on their accomplishments. But their hardships are a a huge part of their story. So I wouldn't recommend it either.
Their existence was also hampered by subversive attempts by the rival music companies. Often times instigating contention with fans of other groups against BTS. Releasing false reports, breaking into BigHit offices....The one thing I love about ARMY, we keep receipts. All this is very well documented. Prior to BTS, although there are many music/training companies in S.Korea, there were 3 main ones, and only entertainers from those 3 won awards. Ever I believe. The CEO of BigHit even came from one of them. He broke away and created his own company. He had a different vision/view. He was right. Much Much dirty laundry with those Big three. Primarily SM entertainment. Dirty pool.
There's been lots of excellent recommendations from my fellow ARMYs so I'll just add that I'm glad you're here and welcome! Here's some quick vocab/random info you'll want to know: Members real names (most ARMY tend to refer to them by their real names or nicknames rather than stage names): RM - Kim Namjoon or Joon/Joonie Jin - Kim Seokjin or Jinnie Suga aka Agust D (his solo rapper persona) - Min Yoongi or Yoongi J-Hope - Jung Hoseok or Hoseokie or Hobi Jimin - Park Jimin or Jiminie or Mini V - Kim Taehyung or Tae or TaeTae Jungkook - Jeon Jungkook or Kookie or JK Borahae/보라해/I Purple You - this became a saying in the fandom after one of the members (Tae) gave a sweet speech inventing a new meaning for the color purple to ARMY at one of their fan meetings (more on that later) where the audience surprised the boys with a purple lights ocean during the song 2!3! (Song dedicated to & written for ARMYs). Ever since he gave this new meaning to purple the boys & ARMY have coined the phrase "I purple you" or Borahae (Bora = purple in Korean & hae comes from Saranghae which means I Love You) Muster - this is what fan meetings are called (comes from the military army term to muster the troops). BTS hold massive fan meetings once a year(sometimes twice though the 2nd is usually in Japan instead of Korea) usually around Festa time Festa - a 13 day celebration held every beginning of June celebrating BTS debut or "birthday". They release fun new content every day leading up to the final celebration concert on their actual bday. We just finished celebrating their 8th birthday a couple weeks ago Bias - a member you have a bias towards (the member you like best) Bias wrecker - one or more of the other members that temporarily claim your bias spot thus "wrecking" the bias list Hyung - Korean word for "older brother" used by males of actual blood relation or among really close male friends. This word isn't often translated but left as is so thought I'd include its meaning Maknae - youngest person in a group of people is called this in Korean. Again, another word that's not often translated but left as is That's just some of what I could think of offhand. Sorry for the long essay 😅 I'll leave you with a couple of my favorite performances since that's some of my favorite content of theirs: ua-cam.com/video/Wm-i6LqBf8E/v-deo.html - Magic Shop ua-cam.com/video/3kRl7gkXdXM/v-deo.html - Butter ua-cam.com/video/2rcKpY-4QBI/v-deo.html - HOME (turn on CC) ua-cam.com/video/EFHeeRIDAsg/v-deo.html - Anpanman

Since you are a jazz musician, I think you will really enjoy “Still With You” by Jungkook from BTS. He wrote and composed this beautiful masterpiece! Please react to it! 😊💜💜💜
I am a 60 year old Aussie mum with a 30 year old daughter. We have been with BTS since the beginning, through the incredibly hard times and the wonderful highs. They are like no other group. They inspire so many to do more, to be more and that is unbelievable in itself. When you remember that these 7 incredibly talented young men, who are now known around the world, were told in the beginning they would fail, still stayed strong, stayed humble and stayed themselves. They are extremely hard working but also the biggest dorks out there! I loved your reaction. As ARMY we welcome anyone who gives our boys a chance. Very few are disappointed when they start to understand why we say they are not your average boy band. Thank you for giving them a chance and I look forward to watching your journey through the world that is Bangtan. Boranes. 💜💜🇦🇺
Out of all the introduction videos, for me The Rise of Bangtan series and The Hardships of Bangtan by xceleste are the must watch to "really" know who bts are. Of course they are talented but all of them are such a genuinely good human beings who loves each other so much! And their humility, passion, amd deep love for their fans? You will never regret finding them😉
My 50 years old husband introduced BTS to me. bTS has been his favourite group. In my mid 40’s I fell in love with them . Very beautiful people making very beautiful songs.
Congratulations on your marriage! I wish you many happy years together. I am also glad you are taking a trip down the rabbit hole. 💜 It made me so happy when you stopped to ask about Zero O'clock! Such a great song. Others have left great suggestions for you so I will just say thank you for the reaction, it was so genuine! I'm looking forward to the next one. 💜
First of all, congrats on your marriage! It's no lies that BTS loves their fans just as much as we love them. Right after they found out that they didn't win the Grammy's they did a live stream to tell ARMYs that they were ok and hid their own disappointment as they knew ARMYs were sad and disappointed for them. It was truly an act of love. I'm 61 and I had been fans to many artists/groups but there's nothing like how I feel about BTS. Their music, personalities, live performances, songs lyrics and meaning, their hard work, humbleness, singing and dancing skills are all so amazing. Thanks for giving yourself a chance to know BTS and hope you will end up loving them.
Congratulations! ..the music in the background is Zero o’clock..You may also want to listen/watch Your Eyes Tell, Let Go, The Truth Untold, , House of Cards, Magic Shop, Epiphany, Singularity, Lie, Fake Love, Black Swan and many more💜
I am so happy that I found your channel that early because I LOVE watching people going down the rabbit hole. If you want to react to their MVs I would suggest that you always watch a lyric video of the song first to get an impression of the song and the lyrics itself so you can focus on how the mv was made afterwards and how the lyrics are pictured there. There is always so much going on that you would miss a lot if you are busy reading the captions. 😅
Oh that's a really good point! Yeah, I definitely haven't figured out how I'm going to structure my videos yet. I'm excited to figure it out, but also slightly overwhelmed. Hahaha 😅
First of all congratulations on your wedding Andrew! It'll be a little long because i'll comment on a few things. First, yes they gift music to Armys on SoundCloud but it's not just that. There's songs that BTS made for Armys, lyrics are about their feelings for us. Their first official fan song is 2! 3!, and then they made Magic Shop and We are Bulletproof: the Eternal. If you listen those songs with lyrics on i'm sure you'll get touched, especially when they sing them on the concerts with Armys. It's not that long, you should necessarily check-out BTS's UNICEF talk, all people should though. And you guessed right it's a piano cover of BTS's song and the song is "Zero o'clock". I suggest you to listen the song with the lyrics on, as well as all BTS songs. Finally, it's not just you saw on that video, it's much more than that. With BTS it's never just a thing, they're so extra. For example they're so much fun, if you wanna learn about them i suggest you to watch BTS funny moments videos. Those 7 are so much fun when they're together. Thanks for reacting to BTS and decide to know them better, have a good day and i wish you a happy marriage (i don't know if there's such a discourse like this in Englis haha).
Thank you so much! I love the long comments 😀 Okay, I'll make sure I take note of those songs that are about ARMY! And I knew that had to be one of their songs! Thanks for identifying it for me 😀 I think I'm almost as excited to watch their variety show and funny moments as I am to react to their music. Haha. They just seem like so much fun! Thank you again and I appreciate the comment!
@@AndrewBergSax My favorite fan song Magic Shop written mostly by the youngest member Jungkook: bangtankorean.com/albums/love-yourself-tear/bts-magic-shop-lyrics/ It's inspired by the meditation method and the book "Into the Magic Shop" by neurosurgeon/Stanford prof James Doty. It blew my mind that the song itself...is the Magic Shop...O_O
One of the things that I love about them is that majority of their music touches on topics you rarely see in music. E.g. - the anxiety and nostalgia that comes from moving (house, stages of life, etc) - the feeling of everyone in your life moving on, achieving great things, while you still feel stuck in place - losing the love of a passion At times they are able to vocalise the emotions I've struggled to understand. it's a moment of 'oh, so that's what it is.'
BTS literally saved my life a 100 times over. I don’t have family and only have one or two friends I’m close to. If it was not for BTS I do not think I would be here.
I think I'm most excited for you starting your *marriage* adventure!! BTS comes in 2nd place only there. 😆 😉 Since you asked for another video like this, I'd suggest xCeleste's video "BTS Contribution to Music."

BTS’ message changed my life. I graduated university with a degree in business and was working for a big bank. It made good money but I wasn’t in love with my job. It sucked getting up in the morning. I also struggled with depression. But BTS’ message is all about loving yourself and being your best self every day. So I quit my job went back to school for something I love which is art related and I’m about to graduate in a year. My depression hasn’t completely disappeared but I don’t feel like waking up is hard anymore. I’m hopeful for the future and I feel myself get better, even if some days are a little hard, I know I’ll be okay. They’re my muses. I love them.

i feel like the reason bts are one of the rare artists of their size and popularity who talk about serious issues in their music and why they always have so much substance in their songs is that they rose to popularity by themselves, by word of mouth of their fans, not by a label pushing them down people's ears and throats like 99.9% of the industry today. so, they were able to stay true to themselves and keep creating the music they want to without being stifled by some major corporation pushing whatever they find most profitable. and - all these companies are forced to treat them well today because they know how big of a fanbase bts has behind them and how much damage and scandal it would cause to do them wrong. bts are like the biggest grassroots movement style supported artist of all time, basically. they even once jokingly said we're like their agent, and considering a lot of the promo in the west companies love shoving on them is always about this "crazy bts army" (we are not actually insane like people tell you, i promise you), that's another way they started getting invited to more shows and award shows in the, very xenophobic and slightly to very racist, west. we are just very organized and like a gigantic family, and we love giving back to bts every single positive thing they give to us, in whatever way we can. so i hope you don't get discouraged by any possible trolls or bad apples you stumble into, and genuinely give bts a chance. they're worth it. thank you :)
This makes so much sense and they probably are one of the biggest grassroots movements of any kind 💜 also I unfortunately have to agree that at least the US has a lot of very xenophobic and racist people... it's very unfortunate that so many people can't open themselves up to a group as great as BTS
Whilst you are right that ARMY has been supportive of them and a huge factor to their success, and BTS themselves would attribute their success to ARMY, as an ARMY I want to make it clear that their success is mainly down to their talent, artistry and the kibd of music they put out. People should start asking why their fan base is so big and diverse and I hope this video gives people some insight into that. I am a 45 year old Malaysian who have been an ARMY since 2014. The reason why I love them is purely because of their artistry, talent and meaningful songs.
The fan base is amazing. I saw a separate reaction earlier today from a Live show at Wimbledon, UK, where the Army surprised BTS by singing their song Young Forever to BTS. Grab tissues before watching that one though. Also, there are a number of BTS intro videos - Ida S has several to introduce the members, some on each member, etc. I'm new to your channel, but only about 4 weeks in to BTS and I'm obsessed at this point. Became official Army just today. :)
i absolutely love your energy. you seem very open minded and just genuinely enjoying taking in the info : ) really looking forward to you checking out more of their music & esp. their lyrics because that's what sets them apart from all other groups in this world! thank you so much!
There's a saying within the fandom that BTS comes into your life when you need them most. Whether you need a laugh, a beautiful song to listen to, or to hear their words of support, every new army finds them when they need them most. I'm excited to see you explore the world of BTS more in the future!
Congrats for your marriage ! Hope you had an amazing honey moon :D So, happy you started to see more about the group itself, now about what you asked at the end, it's an amazing idea to react to a guide on the members, one that would be great is "An introduction to the 7 members of BTS (2021 updated)" by Ida S, that will show you another reason why BTS are so popular, and it's just their talent, end how each member bring something different to the group :) And it will help you differentiate them, I think :) Also a quick note, some people may recommend "Who is BTS ? the 7 members of Bangtan" by Suga&Spice as a guide but it's an old video (3 years old) and the guys have changed/improved/grown since this one, so it lacks a lot of informations, the one by Ida S is very recent and focus more on their professional/musical side. Here the link : ua-cam.com/video/kGRlqyuky2s/v-deo.html You also asked about how they started and how they are together, there is an amazing documentary (series) fanmade but it's at professional level "The Rise of Bangtan". She did an incredible job, there is 12 episodes right now (not finished) and it shows really well all the BTS history (right now with the 12 episodes, it covers from 2013 to 2016) and it's also a great documenatry for someone who is not familiar with k-pop, as they explain the k-pop industry in the same time. Here the link to the channel : ua-cam.com/channels/-SW84yQryPIFDwBX--YMxw.html If you want a quick overview of their career from the start, you have this one "The most beautiful life goes on : a story of BTS" by the Asian Theory. Here the link : ua-cam.com/video/82AXPlMFL6w/v-deo.html I think these ones are a good start if you wanted more introduction/guides about them ^^ Anyway thank's for your reaction, and congrats again for your marriage, have a wonderful day ! :D

Hi I loved your reaction to xcelestes video. I love your enthusiasm. My story is I am 56 although a young 56 and I was in a crisis in my life and I was watching another reaction video on UA-cam and then a reaction video came up to Mic l Drop. When I watched it i can't tell you how many times I was hooked. I had to know more about them and I watched lots of stuff to help me. It is said that BTS comes into your life when you need them and I certainly think its true. I can't begin to express what they mean to me. Although I'm fan over 50 obviously I don't look at them as younger fans would. I see them as a great source of comfort and absolute joy. I never knew that these 7 amazing men from South Korea would have helped me and made me this happy. My husband and Daughter know about my love and admiration for them. What they went through and sometimes still do breaks my heart and I can't bear the thought of what some really nasty people say about them. I hope you really enjoy your trip down the purple rabbit hole. I know you will fall hard like me. ARMY are amazing too. Exceleste has a video about them too. I purple BTS and ARMY'S too. 💜💜💜💜💜

You should start off with their debut songs back in 2013 when they were originally started as a hip hop group... "No more Dream" and "Bullet Proof 2" also there's a fan made vid of their rise up, look into the many series makes of "The Rise of Bangtan Boys"
you explained it well ! wanting to be a BTS fan is just wanting to be part of that community , this world they created around them that includes only good things ! it's fun and helpful and reassuring to know that this kind of artist exist in this day and time ! and the only thing that we can do as fans is to support !! thank you Andrew ! and CONGRATS ON YOUR WEDDING !!!! ho and I strongly suggest the RISE OF BANGTAN series ! the others ones are good too but not complete ! this series, although a slow burner, ( it literally take you trough their journey from pre-debut to present days ) it is exactly what every new comers need to understand FULLY their upbringing. you wont have any question left to ask after the series. mark my words. and sorry to edit so much but i come here after reading people's comment and i want to warn you about some of these compilations !! PLEASE DONT DO THE BTS EXTRA IN AMERICA STUFF! omg i just cant with this compilations ! go straight to the Run bts and interviews that are suggested to you. i don't like how these compilation seem to push one specific agenda and rule out the fact that the boys are evolving ! like how do you make a video that make fun of how they speak English when you know DAMN WELL that is it not their first language. it hurt every time i see it. i want to protect you from the cringe of it all !
BTS is a phenomenon. I enjoyed your reaction, thank you 💜🙏 Congratulations in your marriage, may you and your wife have a long and happy life together. I just want to give a little background - “idol” groups are a big business in South Korea and other Asian countries and have grown in world wide popularity. Youngsters audition and are signed, usually at quite a young age, to entertainment companies, who train them usually for 2 or 3 years, before “debuting” them usually in a group, but sometimes as solo artists. The company that BTS all signed with (they signed up individually and the company formed them in to a group) was not successful or well known, prior to the success of BTS - this is a major reason for some of their struggles, they were the underdogs, and did not have much influence in the entertainment industry. The fist member of the group to be signed was RM (Namjoon) oh, most of them have more than one name, some Army will use stage names, most of us use their given names or nicknames. He was born in September 1994, and signed with BigHit in 2010 as a rapper, and songwriter/producer, he also is the leader and spokesperson of the group, he speaks English (most of them speak Japanese as well as Korean, and the other six are all learning English, but Joon is the only one who is currently fluent in English). Then came Yoongi/Suga (he has also released two solo mixtapes under the name of Agust D, and he is an excellent pianist and is learning guitar), another rapper and songwriter/producer. He was born in March 1993 - he thought he was signing up to be a music producer, he was persuaded to join the group and assured he would not have to dance 😂🤷♂️. Then came Hobi/JHope (real full name Hoseok) - he was born in February 1994, and was a dancer by training. He also became a rapper, and is a prolific songwriter and producer too - these three rappers have been the main songwriters and music producers in the group, but all seven have written lyrics, melodies, and been involved in producing. Again, these three rappers all signed in 2010 - Hobi says his join date was Christmas Eve 2010. Then in 2011, Jin was persuaded to sign (he was at university, studying acting and had no experience in singing or dance) - he was born in December 1992, and is the eldest and a vocalist (he plays piano and guitar). Next came Jungkook, he joined in April of 2011, and he was born in September of 1997 (he is the youngest member, and was just 13 when he signed), he is the main vocalist, and an excellent dancer too (he is sometimes called JK, or the maknae - which means the youngest member in a group). Then came Taehyung/V, he also joined in 2011, and he is the second youngest, born on 30th December 1995 - Tae is also a vocalist and a very good dancer. Last to join was Jimin, third youngest, born in October 1995 - he trained as a dancer, but had no vocal training prior to joining Big Hit in 2012 - he had the shortest training time, less than a year between joining and debut - he is one of the two main dancers (he did both hip hop and contemporary dance) and a vocalist - he also has a background in martial arts, with 8 years of Kendo, and a black belt in Taekwondo. So they were all really young when they left their family homes and moved into that little apartment in the biggest city in Korea (none of them were from Seoul). The youngest was 13 and the eldest was 18. The three youngest only graduated high school after debut (the youngest actually entered and graduated high school with the members of BTS attending both ceremonies). Six of the seven now have bachelor’s degrees and are busy with their masters degrees (the youngest is still doing his bachelors - they have to study part time because of their work commitments, and he is still only 23 right now). At debut, in June 2013, the youngest was 15 and the eldest was 20. Right now, the eldest is 28 and the youngest is 23. They have been working for a decade or more already, and it is eight years since their debut - we just celebrated Festa with them (two weeks in June leading up to the anniversary, where they put out a lot of content on their apps for us) and we had Muster - which this year was a two day online live streaming live concert event, where they performed at the Olympic stadium is Seoul (with no physical audience but over 1.3 million online attendees). It has been a complex journey for them and us. Butter was just a fun summer song, an excellent fun song, but not representative of their artistry, especially lyrically - their best work is obviously in their native Korean. A great website for lyric translations (subs are often hit and miss) is doolsetbangtan.wordpress.comm - I’m think if you decide to get your wife involved with the analysis of lyrics. These men have earned their success with their blood, sweat, and tears - they worked crazy hours as young teens, going to school from a tiny dorm, seven of them crammed into one bedroom, then practicing, and training, and writing and producing music for most of the night. They have been treated badly frequently, and have been humiliated and disrespected - and their concern when that happened was not for themselves, but for us - they were really sad that we might be embarrassed as their fans, they were upset that we might have to feel sorry for them and sorry that we supported them. It might seem weird, especially because you don’t know them yet, but there is a very real and honest love between BTS and Army. Most of us understand that not everyone will love BTS, and that is fine - we aren’t crazy, we have just been with them for years so we know an awful lot about them. There are some toxic “fans” who give BTS and Army a bad name though, and I hope none pop up on your channel. Thank you one again, and welcome to the rabbit warren. When you want suggestions, let us know 💜💜🙏 Have we explained the Purple Hearts yet? And the lights at concerts - those are light sticks, most kpop groups have their own ones, and our are called Army bombs - they can be controlled by BTS management via Bluetooth at concerts - that is why you see them changing colour, and they can even spell out things - your saw BTS💜ARMY spelled out in coloured lights, that is done by BTS (not the members, their concert staff) - it often syncs to the music too, the lights will change and pulse in the audience.
Wow, thank you so much for this incredible information. I really appreciate all the time you spent explaining this for me. All I can really say to this is thank you so much. I definitely learned a lot and I know as I see information like this pop up and react to other videos like this one, I will learn and become even more attached to BTS. It's amazing the struggles they have overcome and their relationship with ARMY is unparalleled. Thank you again, and I really hope you continue commenting on my videos so I can learn a little bit more each time 😀💜💜💜
@@AndrewBergSax you are very welcome. I look forward to more videos from you, most army enjoy reactions to BTS content - your problem will be getting bombarded by requests for reactions to specific videos 😂🤷♂️ Of course I will keep watching, it will be a fun journey. Many army tend to have what is called a “bias” within the group - and that is really just a special term used to describe having a favourite member, and they will especially enjoy seeing YTubers react to edits of their biases some will say they are “OT7” which basically means One True7 - which means they love all seven equally and don’t have a bias. I’m just explaining terms you might not be familiar with. Also the Purple Heart, you will see it a lot. And the word “borahae”. Saranghae is the j formal way of saying “I love you” in Korean, and “bora” means the colour “purple”. Kpop stars make a lot of heart signs with their hands, sending love to fans, and when they cross their thumb over their index finger, it forms the bottom point of a heart, and is used to send love. Taehyung, the second youngest, coined the phrase “I purple you”, he said that as purple is the last colour in a rainbow, it means “I will love and trust your forever”, so our colour is purple, people drop Purple Hearts all over comments to show they are army, and they also say borahae (a mix of “I love you” and “purple”), so if you this going on, it’s good stuff, don’t be concerned. If you have any questions, just ask in your videos or reply to comments, and you will have lots of people very willing to help - me included of course. I am a registered nurse and midwife, I am from northern ireland (so I am a Brit) but I live, work, study (supposed to be doing my masters 🙈, struggling because of Covid, work is crazy) in South Africa 🇿🇦
Yes, I've seen a lot of these terms! I'm starting to pick up a few of them and a few people have definitely helped (like you) in understanding them! I really appreciate it! Borahae! 💜
It must be overwhelming for u to receive so many reaction requests. Just take your time cuz BTS got so many content!! It's your channel so react to stuff u wanna react to even they are non-BTS related stuff. Don't be pressurized to do anything u don't wanna do. I feel sorry for reactors who get tired and fake reactions to please the viewers. Honesty is key. As long as u being respectful, even criticism towards BTS music is welcomed. After all, music is down to personal taste. As an Army, I would like everybody to react to BTS stuff and become an ARMY. But just as the saying says "BTS found you when u needed them the most". It took me almost 2 years to call myself an ARMY. I was once an ignorant person who despised ppl idolizing a celebrity. My self-esteem didn't allow me to have such fondness/respect for ppl esp. whom I didn't even know personally. When I realized BTS has brought joy to my life belatedly, I regret not knowing and rooting for them earlier when they had such a hard time dealing with so many hate and rejection around 2015-17(BTS spoke about it recently). What I wanna say is I hope ppl are truly happy on the BTS journey. None of the explanation from others matters, just experience it yourself. BTS is supposed to bring joy to ppl. I am sure true ARMYs will wish it stays that way forever. Rmb ARMYs support and more than willing to provide guidance to ppl who have genuine interest in and respect for BTS. Lastly, be healthy and we purple you!!
Thank you so much! I will admit it is (very) overwhelming, but honestly I'm super excited for this. And it's overwhelming in a good way. I don't think I've ever loved a group as much as ARMY loves BTS and that is amazing to me and makes me want to learn more about them and enjoy them just as much as all of you do. That plus everything I said in this video about how they're amazing humans. Hahaha
love seeing so many older ARMYs in ur comment section! it feels so nice to know we have them in our fandom (i have never really seen them on twitter or in real life) :)
For me thre my medicine in my ANXIETY and DEPRESSION.. dropping my comment just to say thank you coz this is my past time watching BTS videos and reaction😇😇😇😇💜💜💜💜💜👏👏👏👏👏I LOVE BTS AS LIKE MY YOUNGER BROTHERS😁😁😁😁
Thank you for reacting to BTS and congrats on your wedding! :) Armys are like zombie apocalypse, we keep on creating new armys! Hope you enjoy your journey down the rabbit hole. :) To armys, please continue streaming and buying Butter on all platforms!! Butter is currently at the top of Billboard100 for 4 consecutive weeks! Let's secure the same spot for week 5! Streaming and buying will also contribute to re-claim our spot at the top of BB Global 200 and maintain our spot at the top of BB Global 200 excl US!! First! Congratulations to you and your new wife on your marriage! 💞 Now ~ Thank you so much for deciding to walk the Bangtan Path and diving into the rabbit-hole! Would love to see your wife join you in reacting! Love love love watching reactions to Introduction vids for BTS! Note that ARMY loves long vids about our guys, so please dont think your vids may be too lengthy... that said, note the dates when they’re made, cos Outdated content will not show the progress BTS members have made since then... for example~ their English has improved, and some ‘habits’ are no longer ‘habits’... Also, ARMY may call the guys by their given names, stage names, or nicknames.. no worries~ you’ll get it soon! 😉 “ #LoveYourself #LoveMyself #Peace” Min Yoongi (2016 MAMA awards acceptance speech)
Thank you so much and I'm super excited for the rabbit hole too! I'm going to spread out the Intro vids just a bit so I can hear some music too, but I promise I'll be doing them throughout my journey!
🙋🏻♀️ from 🇺🇸 Silver Army here 👵🏼.... I am 77 and of sound mind and enjoying life even through these tough times thanks in part to BTS. It is so glorious to watch a newcomer discover them because I know what is ahead in your discoveries, I experienced it 2 years ago and still I am as enthralled as the first time. I can go on and one of the reasons why I love our boys now men, but just read the comments and you will understand . My life is truly enriched , what started out as curiosity morphed into this old lady becoming Army👏👏 Why I truly love watching reaction videos is that it validates why I love BTS and I am in good company. so welcome, enjoy the trip ❌⭕️❌⭕️ l purple you 💜
First of all, let me start by saying thank you... From the bottom of my heart. For simply being open to this new genre, group & family that is ARMY. We have a really negative reputation thanks to the bad apples who claim to be a part of our family & unfortunately that's the part that hurts the most. We are very loving, supportive & kind as long as you the same with us. If you need anything, we got you. If you need to talk, we got you. I am one of those people who want all fandoms to get along & support one another while supporting our groups but... that's a talk for another day. Anywho, I'm so excited to watch your journey unfold. There is A LOT of content for you to see that goes all the way back to 2013 but it's worth the fall into the rabbit hole. And with that being said, Welcome to the family!. P.S: The song being played on the piano is called 'Zero O Clock (00:00) by BTS. #IPurpleYou
the songs for fans mean that the lyrics are for the fans army for example " magic shop " , " best of me ", ..... a lot ... a looooooot ........all of the songs !!!!!😆 like when they talk " you made me how i am today " or " you give me the best of me so you gave you the best of you " it's all about army how made bts and supported then😊💜 the song is bts " spring day " 20:22
Thanks for reacting!! Loved your reaction!! Also congratulations!!🎉 I wanted to say that it is really hard to describe the relationship between BTS and ARMY. The best way I have heard it is genuine love. When you watch concerts by them the fans with chant with them and this is one way ARMY able is sending love to them, not that other artists fans don’t but it just is different. Also ARMY focus more on them as people, we don’t just seem them as artist/celebrities we see them as family. I have read so many comments where grandparents who have never actually meant them consider BTS to be their kids. Honestly the best way I can describe it is this; BTS+ARMY=Family Some funny videos to help understand their personalities a little (I tried to find videos that didn’t have a lot of inside jokes): -Carpool Karaoke (if you react be very careful of copyright) -RM being done with BTS English -BTS being a mess on Vlive -BTS Soop in a nutshell -BTS is their name, being chaotic is their game... -BTS Funny Moments Try Not to Laugh Challenge!!! by Jungkook 97 (you honestly don’t have to do the challenge. I love hearing people laugh if they find it funny)
Thank you so much! And thank you for these suggestions, I'm really looking forward to these kind of videos because they just seem like they're such fun people
Hey congratulations for your wedding, I'm happy for you🥰 For an individual introduction I would like to suggest 'An introduction to the 7 member of BTS (2021 update)' by Ida S which is really good and 'Who is BTS? The seven members of Bangtan' by Suga and spice, it's an old video and so many things as changed, but it's always a good watch, just remember there wouldn't be all the information😉 Looking forward to your next reaction✨
I am a 33 year old ARMY and I relate to BTS the most compared to other artists that I used to follow, these 7 men from Korea helped me through difficult times in my life , people really need to open their mind and try to give them a chance because I grantee that they will appreciate them, love your reaction wish you all the best 💜
I have been an ARMY for 6 years, they just keep on inspiring me day by day. I am so lucky to walk with them from the bottom to here they are now. Please react to any songs with lyrics, i am sure you will not regret it. 💜 💜 💜
Be prepared to have your channel explode. I am a 64 year old American woman. I do not know anyone personally, who listens to them, so I don’t have a house full of young girls obsessing over them, nope, it is just me obsessing over them. And I was drawn to them first by their personalities, humor, genuine, respectful, humble ways. They are a phenomenon.
Thank you for this reaction! I just wanted to let you know about a video series (a few people in the comments have mentioned it as well) that a very dedicated team of Armys put together called “The Rise of Bangtan” on a UA-cam channel called TheRiseofBangtanOfficial. It is a highly informational docuseries about BTS’ journey since before they debuted! It’s very professionally done and will give you a great idea of exactly what BTS had to go through to get to where they are today. It’s an ongoing series, and it has twelve episodes out so far, so you could get caught up with it fairly easily and keep up with the uploads as they drop. It appears that a new part comes out every few weeks! I hope you consider checking it out because I believe it will make you see the boys in a new light 💜 Not only will you understand why BTS ascended to fame, but you’ll also get a better understanding of how the K-pop industry as a whole works and see how BTS’ way of conduct is actually revolutionary. Here’s a link to the first part: ua-cam.com/video/QxAmkAwIEeY/v-deo.html
The ideas sound so great!! I cant tell you how i excited I am 😃😃 loved this video too. This feels almost like a real life workshop it's so cool :))). I'm especially interested in the lyric deep dive but honestly all of it sounds amazing!
Awesome, I'm glad you enjoyed it so much! What did you mean by a "real life workshop"? That sounds really cool and I think is what I'm going for, but I just wanted to make sure! Thank you!
I haven't been counted in the Army numbers but am now 82 years old and have followed BTS since their debut in 2013! I still follow them on line every day!
Uh, I found BTS just over a month ago. I’m 78. Having a great time with the music and dance. Congrats on your marriage. Your wife would be really welcome if she wishes. Have fun!
That's amazing! So we're kind of on this journey together then. And thank you so much!

That's so cool!

They don't live together anymore and haven't for a while. They all have their own places and the dorm rent ended in May.
@@IrinNovy Oh, I didn't know that. Thank you for information. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜.
@@IrinNovy where did u find that information?
That's truly amazing. I'm so glad they've been able to help so many people
@flyushkifly I'm so glad you found them when you did.

@@AndrewBergSax the crazy fan question happened a few times, you can see how their faces turned from polite smiles to just pissed, one way to see if the interview is enjoyable is to see how many members are participating, if only 2-3 are talking, they didn't want to be there :)
Edit: I wanna add that these mostly apply to English in person interviews pre covid, nowadays they just take the question as a topic to have fun amongst themselves/answer sarcastically in bad/repetitive interviews, they're more comfortable showing their annoyance now (maybe cuz it's online as well?)
@Lemon Tea very insightful! I'll make sure I consider that when looking at interviews to react to!
@@AndrewBergSax BTS+ARMY=LOVE. @@jillgoth7299 my bad you are correct… I went to XCeleste’s video and she credits it as 00:00. Thanks for the correction.
I know it gets kinda overwhelming when ARMY suggests a lot of BTS videos. But it only goes to show how much we want to share to other people the effect BTS has in our lives through their music and artistry💜
Honestly I love that I've been overwhelmed by this! Haha. There have been so many amazing suggestions and stories and it's awesome!
I am a BTS. 76 Y/O Gramma ARMY, Along with my 55 y/o daughter and 22 y/o grandaughter just attended my very first BTS Concert , PTD. What they give fans of all ages is amazing. No other group like them anywhere. Enjoy your journey. They have kept me going for two years of Covid! Thank you BTS!
I recommend watching the speech at the UN. As a teacher/mom/55yr old, I was so impressed by this speech. It’s incredible. The boys truly are a gift to all they touch.
That's incredible. I believe someone else mentioned that there is even more than one speech 💜
I am a 54 year old Army!! I’m always amazed by these amazing young men!
Stanning the group was never a decision that I regretted. I've been a fan for 5 years and I've grown together with them and I've matured so much because of them. And I just love them it's something special that I can't describe.
That's amazing! I'm just starting off, but this was so impressive to me
It always makes me so happy to see a new ARMY being created💜
Honestly me too. Haha. I'm so excited about BTS and I can't quite explain why
That’s exactly how I felt when I first discovered them last year!
That's amazing! I'm so ready for this 😀
When you get a chance, I definitely recommend watching BTS’s 2018 UN speech, BTS’s Class of 2020 speech and BTS’s 2020 speech at 75th UN general assembly!
Thanks for these recommendations! Maybe I can just do a video reacting to their speeches! That sounds really cool!
I'm 50 and love BTS! I had the pleasure of them live on the Bulletproof Tour. They are amazing
NOTE: BTS has actually spoke at the UN TWICE now.. isn't that amazing?
Wow! That's incredible!
BTS gifts to ARMY on Soundcloud are like beautiful hidden gems 🥺💜
That's amazing! 💜
Yes, i really love their music on soundcloud. The mixtapes, solos, cover are such gems. 💜
Congratulations!!! You should absolutely show your wife the lyrics, as a writer myself bts’ lyricism is out of this world
That's amazing! Yes, I'm excited to bring her on!
Am glad to make your acquaintance and am looking forward to going down the Rabbit Hole with you. Just remember...do not ever feel embarrassed at showing genuine emotions towards their music because....when you laugh - we laugh with you and when you cry...you will never cry alone. We love you ... and congrats on your marriage - bless 💜💜💜
Thank you so much and I'm so happy they were able to help you find happiness. I can't imagine what you were going through, but I'm so glad it is over now 💜💜
Towards the end when you mentioned 3 members becoming permanent members, thats in regards to the 'Korean Music Copyright Association'
KOMCA is a Non-Profit Organization in South Korea that credits song writers, composers, and music publishers. all 7 members are apart of the organization since they have all written/composed music, but 3 members (RM, J-hope, and Suga) have now been promoted to permanent members because they have reached the number of credits to do so. Hope this helped, also congratulations on your marriage! 🤍
Thank you so much! I realized I misinterpreted the video while I was editing, but I still wasn't 100% sure so I didn't want to "correct" it to something also wrong. Thanks for this info!
Another documentary you might like is The Most Beautiful Life Goes On: A Story of BTS, it goes into more detail about how they formed.
Oh that sounds really cool! Thank you!
this also includes a short introduction of the members
@@AndrewBergSax I just have to warn you that this video needs some fact checking (especially their pre debut history) so I wouldn't really recommend it
@@AndrewBergSax dont do that one sir! go straight to the RISE OF BANGTAN series. THE BEST docu ever created for BTS by fans. so detailed ! and it place BTS in the context of the KPOP industry so damn good , you will feel like an old ARMY after this series
@@AndrewBergSax
It's a very sugar coated version focussing only on their accomplishments.
Dirty pool.
That's so interesting! I feel like I just stumbled into a very complex world 😅
There's been lots of excellent recommendations from my fellow ARMYs so I'll just add that I'm glad you're here and welcome!
Here's some quick vocab/random info you'll want to know:
Members real names (most ARMY tend to refer to them by their real names or nicknames rather than stage names):
RM - Kim Namjoon or Joon/Joonie
Jin - Kim Seokjin or Jinnie
Suga aka Agust D (his solo rapper persona) - Min Yoongi or Yoongi
J-Hope - Jung Hoseok or Hoseokie or Hobi
Jimin - Park Jimin or Jiminie or Mini
V - Kim Taehyung or Tae or TaeTae
Jungkook - Jeon Jungkook or Kookie or JK
Borahae/보라해/I Purple You - this became a saying in the fandom after one of the members (Tae) gave a sweet speech inventing a new meaning for the color purple to ARMY at one of their fan meetings (more on that later) where the audience surprised the boys with a purple lights ocean during the song 2!3! (Song dedicated to & written for ARMYs). Ever since he gave this new meaning to purple the boys & ARMY have coined the phrase "I purple you" or Borahae (Bora = purple in Korean & hae comes from Saranghae which means I Love You)
Muster - this is what fan meetings are called (comes from the military army term to muster the troops). BTS hold massive fan meetings once a year(sometimes twice though the 2nd is usually in Japan instead of Korea) usually around Festa time
Festa - a 13 day celebration held every beginning of June celebrating BTS debut or "birthday". They release fun new content every day leading up to the final celebration concert on their actual bday. We just finished celebrating their 8th birthday a couple weeks ago
Bias - a member you have a bias towards (the member you like best)
Bias wrecker - one or more of the other members that temporarily claim your bias spot thus "wrecking" the bias list
Hyung - Korean word for "older brother" used by males of actual blood relation or among really close male friends. This word isn't often translated but left as is so thought I'd include its meaning
Maknae - youngest person in a group of people is called this in Korean. Again, another word that's not often translated but left as is
That's just some of what I could think of offhand. Sorry for the long essay 😅
I'll leave you with a couple of my favorite performances since that's some of my favorite content of theirs:
ua-cam.com/video/Wm-i6LqBf8E/v-deo.html - Magic Shop
ua-cam.com/video/3kRl7gkXdXM/v-deo.html - Butter
ua-cam.com/video/2rcKpY-4QBI/v-deo.html - HOME (turn on CC)
ua-cam.com/video/EFHeeRIDAsg/v-deo.html - Anpanman
I love this essay! Haha. I've actually had to Google quite a few of those terms as people have used them in the comments so I really appreciate having this list! It has been screenshotted for reference now. Haha
Rise of Bangtan is a must when your ready because its a docuseries about their journey before debut up until the present time
That sounds amazing, thanks for the recommendation!
It is so worth the time investment!!!
BTS the perfect package group ... I love them.. we army can literally do anything for them 💜
Since you are a jazz musician, I think you will really enjoy “Still With You” by Jungkook from BTS. He wrote and composed this beautiful masterpiece! Please react to it! 😊💜💜💜
Yes, I will definitely be reacting to it in the future!
@@AndrewBergSax OMG YES PLEASE REACT TO STILL WITH YOU BY JUNGKOOK 😆 I realllyyyy love that song 🥺🥺
Boranes. 💜💜🇦🇺
Wow, I'm so jealous you've been with them since the beginning! That's incredible. I have a lot of catching up to do, but I can't wait!
You will never regret finding them😉
Yes the tremendous amount of hate and slanders from their rival group.. That was so toxic and vile, but now they are getting it in the US
@D h That sounds exactly like what I'd like to react to. I love hearing about their journey 💜
My 50 years old husband introduced BTS to me. bTS has been his favourite group. In my mid 40’s I fell in love with them .
Very beautiful people making very beautiful songs.
That's amazing! I'm glad you found them!
Thank you so much! I'm really excited to react to more! 😀
Wow, that's amazing! I can't wait to know them better 💜
Congratulations! ..the music in the background is Zero o’clock..You may also want to listen/watch Your Eyes Tell, Let Go, The Truth Untold, , House of Cards, Magic Shop, Epiphany, Singularity, Lie, Fake Love, Black Swan and many more💜
Thank you for all these recommendations! I'll make sure these are all on my list!
I’m 57 & an ARMY before BTS was popular. I saw one of their post in tweeter & that was it!☺️😍😁 Borahae BTS! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
That's amazing! 💜
I love the long comments 😀
Okay, I'll make sure I take note of those songs that are about ARMY! And I knew that had to be one of their songs! Thanks for identifying it for me 😀
I think I'm almost as excited to watch their variety show and funny moments as I am to react to their music. Haha. They just seem like so much fun!
Thank you again and I appreciate the comment!
@@AndrewBergSax My favorite fan song Magic Shop written mostly by the youngest member Jungkook: bangtankorean.com/albums/love-yourself-tear/bts-magic-shop-lyrics/
It's inspired by the meditation method and the book "Into the Magic Shop" by neurosurgeon/Stanford prof James Doty. It blew my mind that the song itself...is the Magic Shop...O_O
One of the things that I love about them is that majority of their music touches on topics you rarely see in music. E.g. - the anxiety and nostalgia that comes from moving (house, stages of life, etc)
- the feeling of everyone in your life moving on, achieving great things, while you still feel stuck in place
- losing the love of a passion
At times they are able to vocalise the emotions I've struggled to understand. it's a moment of 'oh, so that's what it is.'
That's amazing that they are able to do that and connect on different subjects 💜
BTS literally saved my life a 100 times over. I don’t have family and only have one or two friends I’m close to. If it was not for BTS I do not think I would be here.
That's so incredible that they have been able to help you through hard times. They really seem to be special to a lot of people
I think I'm most excited for you starting your *marriage* adventure!! BTS comes in 2nd place only there. 😆 😉 Since you asked for another video like this, I'd suggest xCeleste's video "BTS Contribution to Music."
Thank you so much! Haha. Yes, marriage has been wonderful so far 😀 Also, thanks for the suggestion! I don't think anyone has recommended that one yet!
@@AndrewBergSax It's great for musicians. You'll get an intro to how they go about their craft.
Congrats on getting married. You’re honestly excited by what you’re hearing/seeing and obv have a real understanding of music. Also love when you and your wife react to bts together. The rabbit hole is deep, steep and slippery! Borahae.👊💜

BTS is my HEALING medicine. If not for them I don't know what's going to happen to me. I'm 65th yrs old grandmother, I'm a huge fan of BTS since 2014, but I'm, not an Army yet but I listened to their since 2014 and it really help me a lot. I love all the boys. They are very humble and kind. They have shown us the kindness to a lot of people around the world. HEALING MEDICINE TO THE WHOLE UNIVERSE!!!!!!..God bless you and your channel for sharing this video. #borahae #godblessbts #i💜u
I'm so glad BTS has been so wonderful for you! I wish I would've known them that long ago, but I'm happy to learn about them now!
I also recently found them because of my 2 year old (who loves their dancing) and after watching the intro to BTS video I just wanted to support them even more. They always brightens my day.
You should watch bulletproof the eternal music video.
I feel so loved by BTS. It's the first time for feeling such love. Thanks for the video 💜💜
Since you're a jazz guy, you might love 134340, my favorite song personally - has that guitar rhythm and some 60s jazz flute.
You seem super kind and positive. Congrats on your marriage!! 💜🎉 I'm one of the fans in the 30+ range, big metal fan, big music nerd. Never thought a "boy band" would be making my favorite music the past few years
Jazz flute in a BTS song?! That's very intriguing. Hahaha
Thank you for the kind words! BTS reay seems to pull in people who like all kinds of music so I'm excited to hear more!
yes! i was going to recommend 134340 too
BTS brought me here. Hello, new sub here. I’m 41 and an army for 2 years and counting. Binge-watching all your BTS videos now. Loving it. Thank you so much for reacting 🤗💜 Congratulations, newlyweds! May you have more blessings to come your way. 😊
"Crash course" is an amazing video, they talked about their message and they give a look to a little bit if there music
Oh that's great, thank you!
It's amazing that you've been able to find some positivity in their music and message. I'm so glad you're in a better place now
Thanks for reacting BTS songs. I'm 61 yes old BTS songs helped me a lot I have so many hardships in life that I almost quit, but when I heard and listen LOVE YOURSELF/ LIFE GOES ON songs it helped me overcome my distressed.. I Love the boys...Try to listen and react LIFE GOES ON SONG😘😘😘
I'm glad they've had such a positive impact for you! I'll make sure it's on my list!
i feel like the reason bts are one of the rare artists of their size and popularity who talk about serious issues in their music and why they always have so much substance in their songs is that they rose to popularity by themselves, by word of mouth of their fans, not by a label pushing them down people's ears and throats like 99.9% of the industry today. so, they were able to stay true to themselves and keep creating the music they want to without being stifled by some major corporation pushing whatever they find most profitable. and - all these companies are forced to treat them well today because they know how big of a fanbase bts has behind them and how much damage and scandal it would cause to do them wrong. bts are like the biggest grassroots movement style supported artist of all time, basically. they even once jokingly said we're like their agent, and considering a lot of the promo in the west companies love shoving on them is always about this "crazy bts army" (we are not actually insane like people tell you, i promise you), that's another way they started getting invited to more shows and award shows in the, very xenophobic and slightly to very racist, west. we are just very organized and like a gigantic family, and we love giving back to bts every single positive thing they give to us, in whatever way we can. so i hope you don't get discouraged by any possible trolls or bad apples you stumble into, and genuinely give bts a chance. they're worth it. thank you :)
That's so great. I can't wait to listen to more of their music so I can understand that better
i absolutely love your energy. you seem very open minded and just genuinely enjoying taking in the info : )
really looking forward to you checking out more of their music & esp. their lyrics because that's what sets them apart from all other groups in this world!
thank you so much!
Thank you so much! I really appreciate the kind words and I'm also really looking forward to listening/reacting to some more of their music!
There's a saying within the fandom that BTS comes into your life when you need them most. Whether you need a laugh, a beautiful song to listen to, or to hear their words of support, every new army finds them when they need them most. I'm excited to see you explore the world of BTS more in the future!
I'm excited too! And I think that really is so true
Congrats for your marriage ! Hope you had an amazing honey moon :D
So, happy you started to see more about the group itself, now about what you asked at the end, it's an amazing idea to react to a guide on the members, one that would be great is "An introduction to the 7 members of BTS (2021 updated)" by Ida S, that will show you another reason why BTS are so popular, and it's just their talent, end how each member bring something different to the group :) And it will help you differentiate them, I think :)
Also a quick note, some people may recommend "Who is BTS ? the 7 members of Bangtan" by Suga&Spice as a guide but it's an old video (3 years old) and the guys have changed/improved/grown since this one, so it lacks a lot of informations, the one by Ida S is very recent and focus more on their professional/musical side.
Here the link : ua-cam.com/video/kGRlqyuky2s/v-deo.html
You also asked about how they started and how they are together, there is an amazing documentary (series) fanmade but it's at professional level "The Rise of Bangtan".
Here the link to the channel : ua-cam.com/channels/-SW84yQryPIFDwBX--YMxw.html
If you want a quick overview of their career from the start, you have this one "The most beautiful life goes on : a story of BTS" by the Asian Theory. Here the link : ua-cam.com/video/82AXPlMFL6w/v-deo.html
I think these ones are a good start if you wanted more introduction/guides about them ^^ Anyway thank's for your reaction, and congrats again for your marriage, have a wonderful day ! :D

First of all: congratulations for your wedding ☺️
And welcome to army…have fun learning more about our 7 humble kings 💜💜💜
Yes! I can't wait to learn more about them 😀
Hi I loved your reaction to xcelestes video. 💜💜💜💜💜

@@AndrewBergSax And no distraction with choreo or visuals of a music video. Also they use a live band so its pretty awesome. They have captions on it so you can also find out what they're saying. They picked 3 songs that really show off their versatility.

Thank you! It's that amazing you've been following them for so long 💜

And this is a marked day in history where you were sucked into the never ending hole in the crazy world of bts.sorry man you won’t get out I know I’ve been there 💜🤣 good luck 😉
Hahaha I'm getting that impression. I've only listened to one of their songs so far and I'm already invested in them just from their story. Well I guess I live here now. Haha 🐇
You didn't meet BTS late, BTS comes into your life when you need it most.
For me it came when I needed to overcome depression due to the death of a loved one
💜💜💜 this really does feel so true
You should start off with their debut songs back in 2013 when they were originally started as a hip hop group... "No more Dream" and "Bullet Proof 2" also there's a fan made vid of their rise up, look into the many series makes of "The Rise of Bangtan Boys"
Oh that sounds great! Great suggestions 😀
you explained it well ! wanting to be a BTS fan is just wanting to be part of that community , this world they created around them that includes only good things ! it's fun and helpful and reassuring to know that this kind of artist exist in this day and time ! and the only thing that we can do as fans is to support !! thank you Andrew ! and CONGRATS ON YOUR WEDDING !!!!
ho and I strongly suggest the RISE OF BANGTAN series ! the others ones are good too but not complete ! this series, although a slow burner, ( it literally take you trough their journey from pre-debut to present days ) it is exactly what every new comers need to understand FULLY their upbringing. you wont have any question left to ask after the series. mark my words.
and sorry to edit so much but i come here after reading people's comment and i want to warn you about some of these compilations !!
Thank you so much! I agree with everything you said and I'm so excited to learn more about them!
When you want suggestions, let us know 💜💜🙏
Have we explained the Purple Hearts yet?
Borahae! 💜
I'm 57, my daughter is 27 and my sister is 59..We love BTS!
That's amazing! They appeal to so many different people, it's incredible 😊
Senior ARMY are all over the world. I purple you from the UK 🇬🇧💜
@@House0fHoot i purple you !!
That's amazing! I'm so happy they've been helping you 😀💜
BTS is a genre for music

First! Congratulations to you and your new wife on your marriage! 💞
Now ~ Thank you so much for deciding to walk the Bangtan Path and diving into the rabbit-hole!
“ #LoveYourself #LoveMyself #Peace” Min Yoongi (2016 MAMA awards acceptance speech)
Thank you so much and I'm super excited for the rabbit hole too! I'm going to spread out the Intro vids just a bit so I can hear some music too, but I promise I'll be doing them throughout my journey!
I hope you'll do full album reactions so you can see the range of music they do within a single album alone
My life is truly enriched , what started out as curiosity morphed into this old lady becoming Army👏👏 Why I truly love watching reaction videos is that it validates why I love BTS and I am in good company. so welcome, enjoy the trip ❌⭕️❌⭕️ l purple you 💜
Thank you so much, and I'm so happy you were able to discover them. I really can't wait for what comes next and to learn everything about them
I'm so excited to see those lyric deep dives and you watching the variety show in general!!!
Thank you! I'm super excited too 😀
First of all, let me start by saying thank you... #IPurpleYou
Thank you! I'm excited to be part of the family 😀 I appreciate all the kind words
the songs for fans mean that the lyrics are for the fans army for example " magic shop " , " best of me ", ..... a lot ... a looooooot ........all of the songs !!!!!😆
like when they talk " you made me how i am today " or " you give me the best of me so you gave you the best of you "
it's all about army how made bts and supported then😊💜
the song is bts " spring day " 20:22
Magic shop is so so beautiful! It always makes me teary eyed honestly 💜 and the song is actually Zero O’Clock piano version
Anyway have a nice day
Thanks for reacting!! Loved your reaction!!
Also congratulations!!🎉
I wanted to say that it is really hard to describe the relationship between BTS and ARMY. Honestly the best way I can describe it is this; BTS+ARMY=Family
Some funny videos to help understand their personalities a little (I tried to find videos that didn’t have a lot of inside jokes):
-Carpool Karaoke (if you react be very careful of copyright)
-RM being done with BTS English
-BTS being a mess on Vlive
-BTS Soop in a nutshell
-BTS is their name, being chaotic is their game...
-BTS Funny Moments Try Not to Laugh Challenge!!! by Jungkook 97 (you honestly don’t have to do the challenge. I love hearing people laugh if they find it funny)
Thank you so much! And thank you for these suggestions, I'm really looking forward to these kind of videos because they just seem like they're such fun people
Hey congratulations for your wedding, I'm happy for you🥰
For an individual introduction I would like to suggest 'An introduction to the 7 member of BTS (2021 update)' by Ida S which is really good and 'Who is BTS? The seven members of Bangtan' by Suga and spice, it's an old video and so many things as changed, but it's always a good watch, just remember there wouldn't be all the information😉
Looking forward to your next reaction✨
Perfect, thank you so much! I appreciate the recommendations 😀
Thank you so much! I'm excited to learn more about them and I wish you all the best too! 💜
Hahaha I feel like my channel has already exploded! I have a feeling I'm in for a wild, and awesome, ride. I can't wait to learn more about them!
Yeah!
Thank you for the heads up and for the link! I'm definitely going to add this to my list 😀
Welcome to BTS rabbit hole 🤗
Guaranteed u won't regret it for sure💜
I'm so excited for it 😀
The ideas sound so great!!
That's amazing!
