On the whole posting your kids online or not- you have to see Jane Williamson’s shorts on UA-cam. Instead of filming her daughter, she acts out and says the exact things her daughter did and said that week. Truly hilarious and a unique approach. It will also be embarrassing for her daughter in the future, of which I approve.
OMG yes! I honestly love Jane's content, she seems like such a sweet person and I love how she protects her kids while still making content about being a mom. Wish more parents influencers were like her because I love watching that content but I can't stand it when the kids clearly aren't being protected
There's another woman I know who posts a lot about her and her family, especially because she and her wife have worked really hard to start their family as a same sex couple, but she always makes sure to never show her son's face. It's actually pretty amazing how much we still get to see them interact and work with each other as a family while he still has his privacy... And she never does weird emojis
Love the podcast! Just a point of clarification: The summer solstice is June 21st and it is both the first day of summer as well as the longest day of the year. Summer runs from June 21st to September 21 (which is the autumn equinox and equinox means that the day and night are equal in the amount of hours in the day).
Caroline, not sure if this is a helpful perspective on the honesty vs protectiveness of talking about body image, but one thing I've seen is people talking about the experiences and emotions but not body details (e.g. body part, whether it's something you wish was bigger/smaller, any measurements or numbers that you get hung up on). I honestly think the universal and meaningful part is the feelings and not what we're applying them to, and that way it can also help to avoid the contagion effect you talked about. On a less serious note, Jess, summer is your season!! You've been extra glowing in both this one and the last one.
This is incredibly helpful. Now that you say it, that is 100% the correct approach. Or at least the approach I think I’m comfortable with. Thank you for articulating this for me, I really love ot
I love y’all !!!! And I’m 58 years old and learning to be in my 2nd marriage since 2021! ❤❤ Thank you for sharing the things that I too experience with my own life and new spouse ! 🙏🏻🥰🥰
My biggest summer issue is I sweat like nobody I know. Summer for me is this time when I need to have to shower and change up to three times a day. Hair is out - nothing I do is going to stay, it will be wet no matter what in 30 minutes outside unless I don't move in a shade. So my go to is a pattern top, never a solid color unless it's black, which is not a color for me anyway since I am over 50. Multiple showers are ok. Another tip - wearing swim suit tops for bra in the summer (not to work). I am not sure why, but these feel great even when you are not at the pool and the top is over it.
This is the best podcast! The subject on handling hurt in relationships (especially being hurt by having done the hurt) and how to process it really got to me. It was so interesting and thought provoking, never really heard anyone talk about it before. Thank you for bringing in new perspectives 🙌❤️
I don't have Apple to leave a review -- so --- the way i know this is my favorite podcast, is that i never skip an episode. And, i never have any episodes saved up for later! I can't quit you 💓 xoxo
On the "couple story": me and my husband are actually Russian Americans. And I often wonder if any of my American neighbors or coworkers ever thought that we are spies. Like the lousy ones, who didn't keep their cover quite properly. I, myself, btw suddenly found out that one of the people in my circle (way back) actually WAS an agent! I was shocked. Learned it from papers and my jaw dropped
Regarding the body image comments. I watched a UA-cam video where someone said having a short philtrum is more attractive. And so now I judge myself based on how much space I have between my nose and upper lip, whereas before I didn't even ~know~ to judge myself for that. So, while I do prefer honesty and transparency, my brain doesn't need more fodder to judge myself on. Does that make sense?
I wanna micro dose now. Probably won't, because I can't even handle a whole THC gummy. Can't imagine what a shroom gummy would do to my psyche!!! Regarding black clothes, this is and has been my uniform for decades. I just shake it up by making my own long-sleeved Ts dripping with sarcasm and snark. That being said, I have worked "remote" for going on 11 years, I'm in the middle of nowhere Ohellio, and I don't see people other than my husband on the regular, so I can't relate much to the being or wanting to be part of society 🤣You both bring me joy every time I listen. Thank you 💕
I used to be very pro tripping out because of some great acid experiences I had! However, I ended up having a horribly traumatic drug experience at 19 that permanently scarred me, and even though I'm 25 now, I will literally never be the same. I was completely out of touch with reality for years, and almost killed myself-despite having no family history of these issues. It is NOT worth the risk to play around with any of that stuff. There are lots of mediums you can use to reflect deeply that don't involve substances! People who say there is "no such thing as a bad trip" have no idea how bad it can be.
Caroline's rant about influencer's children with the emojis covering their faces gives me LIFE! 😆 "It's not illegal for your child to sometimes be embarrassed! *evil laugh*" 😅
Little seed farm- booty balm- technically I think they made it to prevent diaper rash- but I have been using it to prevent thigh rash aka chaffed thighs - and i haven’t had to wear shorts under dresses in three years. It’s the best. Highly recommend
Jess, I don't think it's toxic that you have a really strong emotional reaction when your boyfriend does finally bring something up cuz it sounds like you just have really different personalities and really different ways of regulating yourself emotionally... I think you feel it more when he mentions something, hurting his feelings or being too much or not enough, etc because you know he wouldn't bring it up unless it really really bothers him. It's hard not to feel it more partially because it's so rare! Even so, remind yourself that you really do bring stuff up like that with him all the time and it's going to be okay, so it's going to be okay if he brings up something to you as well
okay, visers at first I didn’t like it (the look) and thought how stupid why not just wear a hat BUT THEN I realized how sweaty my head could get and realized the genius of it lol. That said, I lost my one viser and I do still where hats and I did recently get a new viser but its one I can roll up for ease in terms of being portable though in doing so makes me feel like I’m those race horses with side blinders that provide tunnel vision lol its a vibe i guess 😂🤷🏻♀️
Caroline, some of the best wisdom was shared this one. Thanks both of you. I will now keep in mind sometimes you’re just out of sync. Not like totally off. lol I guess that was Ryan but either way loved this one ❤😂
Weird question but do you guys have an address for fan mail? Your podcast brings joy to my day & I'm a crafter so would love to send you something to make you smile! Thank you for being real, I appreciate with if your personalities and how you work together makes your pod refreshing and fun to listen to in a world where things are often taken too seriously.
I haven't listened to the whole thing, but I've really been sensing/noticing an increased "modesty" push in the US (I'm not from there, so maybe I'm way off). This is off the cuff, but I think it's kind of a natural result of religious conservatism getting a hold of social media and feeling more in everyone's literal face now on a broad scale. #trad haha
If I'm remembering correctly they have a list of things/ideas they want to talk about on the podcast and they explore them as they go along, I think she was just looking at the list :)
I understand, but yes we’re constantly both monitoring the timestamps, leaving notes for our editor, or lining up next prompts. Hard to do during live recording :/
@@Not4EveryonePod I see, the impression I got was you were scrolling or texting while Jess was talking so when watching a dialogue it' came across as a bit weird but yeah hope it wasn't a rude comment. Still listen to each new episode and really love what you two are doing. I get there's a lot of different elements to consider when shooting it's not just talking. Hope my comment didn't offend in any way.
Posting kids on internet. Scratching out their face or putting an emoji over the face makes me cringe so bad. I can only think of Michael Jackson and making his kids wear literal masks in public so no one can identify them. Well then lets just put your head in a paper bag everytime you go out in public and see how that feels. Not much different than a full cover burqua! If you don't want to show them don't show them. It is more wierd to show ther picture with the face totally scratched out. Ooooo
Guilty of the child emoji on insta haha 🙋🏽♀️ But hear me out! As I made my profile more public for business, it weirded me out having random people recognizing my child, and feeling like they know her. Being a mom is a huge part of my life that I do still like to share, so a family photo or something like that make it in… but yeah emojis are present now haha! 🤍 PS I love the pod! I feel like I’m hanging with my friends listening to it :)

I love when people get creative with it like this
Oh yes! I love Jane Williamson aka The Utah Mom! She’s hilarious! Her skits imitating Chloe are so good! 😂

I personally think a longer one is WAY more good looking and charismatic..!!

I love watching your relationship of relating and supporting one another while being so honestly human … so inspiring ❤
I loved this episode so much it was relatable and deep and silly and it felt like we were all hanging out together which is lame and I stand by it ❤

THIS ONE WAS ABSOLUTELY HILARIOUS
I'M CRACKING UP!!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
I go with: "What do you like to do with your time?"

Flying has always been my #1 answer, and I'm always met with teleportation as the counter. We're all the same truly
I've got an aunt (90 this year!) who has told me many times: if I had a body like yours, I would walk around naked all the time! 🤣🤣
Omg that has literally happened to me at work w the microdosing mushrooms!! It’s not fun when it hits you harder than you wanted 😂
100% Caroline has major visor wearing vibes
Loved this one 😂❤ love me a magical gummie!
lol Jess is happy to know they recycle the cats! lol
One of my favorites ❤❤❤❤
RECYCLED CATS LMAO

June 21 is summer solstice. Go touch grass ladies!!❤
I think blurring the child’s face is ridiculous in the Vlogs. Let them (kids) pop in once in awhile.
Yuuuuuus 🫶
