Pepa & Dolores (3D Encanto Fanart) Shelter from the Storm

- This is a fan project made for the Encanto Big Bang Challenge!
Pepa hears something in Casita one night and asks Dolores, but it feels like her daughter is hiding something (or someone)
Subtitles available: English, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, French
Of course we own none of these characters, they are property of Disney. It's just fan art made because we LOVE this film!
The project was made in a limited timeframe (I spent a bit over a month working on the art) using Maya, zBrush, Marvelous & Substance Painter, and rendered it in Unreal Engine. I'm a game artist, so the environment and characters will have a bit of a video game feel, and this was my first time making an animated scene (I usually work as a modelling/texturing artist) so it was a lot of fun to work outside my comfort zone and learn a lot from making this. :)

seriously this has my jaw dropped on the floor, this is SO COOL, and the atmosphere is also scary and all the camera angles are on point as well, the sudden turns, when you did the rats scurrying through and the squeaks as sound, IT JUST WORKS SO WELL
I HAVE SO MUCH TO SAY ABOUT THIS BUT CAN'T COLLECT MY THOUGHTS, I LOVE THIS SO MUCH YOU ABSOLUTELY SLAYED

This is an MMD, yes? It should qualify as more of a fan-animation. Definitely deserves more attention, I was wondering how long it would take for 3d animators to show up in this fandom. I do think the writing and voice-acting are fairly good for a low-budget indie project like this, though I would still do away with the little song altered from we don't talk about Bruno that Pepa sings at the end. I adore the amount of spanish included, and eye-candy graphics though the animation may use some work, even though I'm aware of the limitations of MMD technology. I'll still say, it's wonderful work! You earned a like from me here.

I watched this back when you first posted it but I never shared my thoughts on it! I am absolutely in awe of all the effort and love you put into this project, especially with how you went and recreated Casita??? Oml, and don’t get me started on the animation and voice acting. It was so nice to hear them speak in Spanish! I honestly don’t know if I can fully put my feelings into words but aaaaaa this is so incredible. I’ll probably be coming back in another 8 months to scream over this again. So good.
