We go straight up Hay Bluff the Vertical way off the beaten track on its Northern slopes. No messing just up to the trig.

To get to our awesome wild camping spot amid Hay Bluff we get off the well trodden paths and go straight up for good measure. We hit he trig point perfectly.
Hay Bluff in the Black Mountains (677 meters - 2,221 Ft) and above the town of Hay-On-Wye is a major part of the River Wye catchment area. It sits opposite Twmpa (690 meters - 2,263 Ft) otherwise known as Lord Herefords knob and feeds the river Honddu that flows into the Wye, the Olchon Brook from its Easterly flanks, the Dulas Brook and Digedi Brook to name a few.

savedpurplecat It was good weather although we like all weathers. The following morning on top was nice, cold and pure mist.
Now thats a great lot of photographs of awesome scenery. I have never done that walk but love the Black Mountains. Nice video and lovely views from there......liked it! :-)

Wandering Wolf 2 Mal the North side beckoned us on that day. We wanted to go straight up where the tourists dare not. The cool thing was the trig point was right there in front of us once on top. Yeah the Black Mountains. Amazing, wonderful and beautiful. They take great photos! Really good to hear from you. atb Mark
