"This was a song written for the Film 'The Palermo Shooting' by Wim Wenders. Wim is a friend of the family and is a big fan of her (Sibylle's) music. I (her son) recorded it in my studio and added the background atmosphere."

This is how I understand the lyrics, there are some words I am unsure of though:
Let us know
that the little things are
little
and big ones big
Life is fragrant and brittle
A twig
On the tree of knowing
It grows for the sake of growing
From the drunkenness of my trying
I've become whole
My soul's in the freedom of seeing
The one in the manifold
It knows
Without knowing
Let us know
That the little things are
Little
And big ones big
Have us see what is now
In the light of eternity
Let us be
You and me
Like writing on water
Leaving no trace
Embracing the face
Of our dying
Into this brilliant space
It glows for the sake of glowing
Let us know
That the little things are
Little
And big ones big
This is the only new song we have from her, and she really didn't change. Still so beautiful
Hope that she still has songs that are not yet discovered
😅😅
I hope one day we have another album. Her voice is still so beautiful
Let us know
That the little things are
Little, and big ones big
Life is fragrant and brittle
A twig on the tree of knowing
It grows for the sake of growing
From the drunkenness of my trying
I think I'm home
My souls and my freedom of seeing
The one in the many fall
It knows without knowing
Let us know
That the little things are little
And big ones big
Have us see what is now
In the light of eternity
Let us be
You and me
Like writing on water, leaving no trees
Embracing the face of our dying
Into this brilliant space
It glows for the sake of glowing
Let us know
That the little things are little
And big ones big
I think it's leaving no "trace", makes more sense and rhymes with space
What a melty voice! The female version of Leonard Cohen's voice for sure!
I wish this was on Spotify, it is amazing!
I'm so insanely in love with Sibylle, and that's the easiest way for me to put it. :)
Me too!
This is poetry.
We must get this song on Spotify! This is such a beautifully strange song.
yes!!
I recently discovered her music. It is amazing. I love it all.
It's certainly "Like writing on water, leaving no trace" instead of "... leaving no trees".
Yes! That makes much more sense:)
hi, thanks much for uploading this, it's really wonderful to encounter this. i would like to suggest this alternate interpretation of the lyrics....
"i've become whole" instead of "i think i'm home"
"my soul's in the freedom of seeing the one in the manifold"
cheers x
This is just so fucken beautiful.
What?! Haven't heard this one before.
thank you so much for sharing this with the world
Thank you for uploading more of Sibylle's magic
The real meaning of life -3
The Cohen force is strong with this one. And that's a good thing.
I was thinking the same thing. And also loving it. Its like she took the feeling I love to get from a good Leonard Cohen song and made it into a genre.
That was meant to be a heart -3
I love Sibylle's music. She has retained her unique voice across the years whilst so much else has changed. I hope she is happy and fulfilled.
*Mellow voice!
No conocia esta canción!!
Que sorpresa maravillosa
Gracias!!
Dünyada kimse bana bu kadar ben gelmemişti

They are no official lyrics but you can find my attempt in the video description.

Anyone know the chords? I'm not great at figuring them out yet
You could look up the chords. I know for sure that this song does not have the usual chord progression, like most of her songs.
can someone please send me the lyrcs
I put the lyrics into the description, I cannot guarantee that they are 100% correct though.
Thank you so, so much. I love this music so much, but i never understood the lyrcs. Hugs from Brazil =)
Can't find a song I dislike yet.
The essence of beautiful prose.
