Beautiful car, I own a jaguar sovereign 4.2 v8 2006 ( x350 ) model, done 130k miles still purrs beautifully. Recently changed the air compressor, front brake and disc's, oil filter, both air filters wasn't cheap but hey!!!! Atleast it's still a unique car to own and drive compared to cars today that look the same.
Amazing cars! 95-97 XJ Jaguars some of the most reliable cars period. I own a 97 XJ VDP, and with 109K drives like new and only issue was sagging headliner easily fixed with clear upholstery pins. Just change fluids and belts when necessary and drive with confidence and pride in a 26 yr old vehicle. If you can find one, get one!! Timeless big beauty hugs the road like well..a Jaguar.😆
I have a 3.2 litre I6 x300 and im just wondering if the engine would stand a supercharger as its a project car and ive already re-sprayed the paint and new exhaust
I want to put a Torq Am electric supercharger on my 4 litre, it should add another 70bhp. I would say the engine will handle more power because the 3.2 is the same engine with a shorter stroke. The 4.0 has a stronger transmission though.
the wear and tear on the Engine is so typical. I got one myself but in a worse condition wich I am rebuilding and the Engine has those scratches aswell
I know it's an old video, glad to see you lost the stupid 10/2 death grip and went to the 9/3 however it's perfectly ok to take one hand off the wheel during hard corners.
J'ai la même en Version Daimler LWB, rallongée donc, c'est tout de même mieux pour les passagers arrière. Sinon le moteur 4.0 est excellent, beaucoup mieux que le 3.2.
This x300 has the straight 6 which is a simple robust engine that lasts for hundreds of thousands of miles. The x308 has a better engine but much more complicated and had problems early on.
What happened to this beautiful car?? For 100,000 miles so much is broken that really shouldnt be broken. This car was NOT well taken care of by it's previous owner. It would cost over $1,000 easy just to fix alot of these issues.
Elliot, the X300 with the AJ16 motor is highly regarded for its dependability. Ive owned one, had to sell, and then I bought another. A perfect daily driver. The one I had before and the one I have now have never ever failed me.
@@meandthexj.2500 Comments such as yours remind me of my personal bucket list which leads off with ownership of an X300. Only Jags I've driven are test runs of Series III XJ6s for sale - three of them - about 25 years ago. At 63 years of age and experiencing a housing crisis at the moment, I take pleasure and satisfaction in driving and maintaining my '04 Lincoln Town Car, but barring something miraculous...
Engine is ridiculously clean. That was detailed. I hear water can cause major damage, so hopefully their detail didn't do any harm.

I Have an XJ300 at 200k miles still driving great as a daily!
Same here, love it! 😀
Very distinguished gentleman
Beautiful vehicle. I have an Ice Blue x300 3.2 currently undergoing repairs & paint job.
Mine is turquoise and not gonna lie I like lighter colors on this vehicle more than Black or british racing green.
Seat switchpack may be at fault. Disassemble and add shim to make better contact.
Beautiful and beautiful and beautiful...
I have a ‘97 that’s your car’s twin. What a joy to drive. 😎
Great cars and this one is mint 🙂
Looks very nice for it's millage. Nice X300.
Voiture magnifique un bonheur incroyable à son volant c'est vraiment un collector à conserver précieusement !😉
The kind of driving that no classic Jaguar enthusiast would dare to do on this kind of road. I have nothing else to say.
There was a bit of a bump at one point but the Jag can handle this type of road. Better in a classic mini with all those twists and turns.
Timeless design…

My car is a jaguar XJ X300 SOVEREING from 1998, how it can be possible if the last one was producted on 1997 ? Can you help me ?

Peanut butter tan interior???
Omg... This micky mouse country really lives in it's own bubble 😂

is this still out there? what's the ask?

The gen after this is x308. Even nicer. More Ford parts. A good thing.

How do you not dislocate your shoulders driving like that

Kinda rough
*tough
Hi , everyone. I have a 1997 xj6 , 144k miles. Tan color. Runs excellent. I want to sell it about $4500 . Any one interested?
that is not british racing green
If you've ever tried to get British Racing Green on camera you'll know it does not look the same as in reality.
100K and driven by a carpark door dinger
Very beautiful
However not dependable. I see one of those
Cars I say gooooodluck!!
Never own one again
Yeah the 4.0 is a good motor at least, so that gives it a fighting chance... now an XJ12... best of luck to ya!
@@ThePhotographersGarage yea the 4.0 is definitely reliable at least that’s what I’ve read extensively about them

Very reliable if maintained
