@a.p.rodgers I sung a version of it a capella inspired in part by billy strings but I put a drone over the background. I'm Scottish but usually sing in an American sort of accent as I feel it lends itself to most songs but I did this in my own vernacular which gave it a different vibe. I might release it. You'd dig it.
sounds real nice! first time I heard of you was from "close your eyes charlene" w/ taylor trew on pwac few years back. Used to sing that song to myself and shed tears while Id work the bakery I used to be employed at earlier in morn. definitely help me with getting thru the day, thank you
@@a.p.rodgersman if you did that I would be eternally grateful.. these sadder type of songs really resonate with me, but I'm still not much good at figuring out how to play stuff without a tab or explanation..
@ben-asher-banjo if you could send me a dirrrect message on Instagram, or email my at davidrodgersmusic@gmail.com I can get a lesson together for this song.
I made a variation of this in eCGAD, it plays well in standard too. Good picking.
Thanks, not sure if I've tried that tuning before. I can't remember water bound tuning but that MIGHT be it.
@@a.p.rodgers it’s what Little Birdie is most commonly played out of
Cold mountain
I love that song!! It's kinda amazing grace in minor
I never noticed till I started playing it. I still can't quite tell if it's supposed to be played as a waltz or 4/4. Kinda has a free flowing tempo

@JamieRambles I would, I've being enjoying Sam Shackletons takes on American folk music. Especially wild Bill Jones and gypsy Davey

Thanks, I'm glad you're still listening!
Man this is great.. are you in standard tuning? I'd love to figure this out for clawhammer someday..
I could probably tab it out for clawhammer. It's standard, a few steps down.
