      @acedias12 Рік тому +54

      I'm guessing why Cover picked IRyS as Vsinger is her being fluent in both English and Japanese. Also helps that she's living in Japan which is logistically convenient to get a hold of her. Biggest difference between Nerissa and IRyS is that the former is clearly professionally trained while the latter is self-taught, so Nerissa has that advantage. Makes me wonder is Cover giving IRyS any professional assistance in regards to that.

      I think Cover has learnt that Vsingers aren't really a good idea, because they tend to be treated as an outsider in terms of gens. Before they became councilrys, EN kinda felt like Myth, Council and then iRys was also there. I don't know too much about azki but at least when iRys started playing games she started to feel very much like an ordinary talent, that debuted solo and was also good at singing. It is kinda difficult to keep the audience engaged with her if she only releases music and streams when it's related to her music.
      This might age poorly but I don't think we're gonna get any more Vsingers unless they release an entire gen of Vsingers. Which would probably start to feel like an ordinary gen once the debut hype died down.

Both Kanade Izuru (Holostars Gen. 1) and Vestia Zeta (HoloID Gen. 3) have covered this song in Japanese. Izuru, in particular, gives it such an unsettling, unhinged performance. In the way of the lyrics for this song, as this song was originally in japanese (as its originally a vocoloid) and weidly enough its one of the few songs that people have never been able to properly translate it directly to English, purely due to that the song uses alot of japenese phrases that dont have direct translation (also to make it fit the song), so there are alot of different perspectives and versions that people have made over the years, so props to her giving her own view and version on this crazy good song! Like for example the chorus and the name of the song; "Aishite" which just translates to "love me", people who make english covers have changed it to "love me more" or "love me harder" or "love me, I say" and of course "give me your love" as shes done, so her interpretation of this song is kinda interesting to me lol.
    Also besides the song, shes clearly a crazy good singer with lots of range, like all Hololive or Nijisaji members, she has a history/past life, and if you wanna dig deep enough in the vtuber rabbithole, shes has quite alot of really good coveres that shes done in the past, both in english amd japanese, if your keen you should check them out!!!
    (Obvi I wont say who she was prior as I dont want to doxx her, but if your interested you can find it with a few searches)
    (Also sorry in advance, English is not my first language, so please excuse any spelling or grammatical errors)

    Her verison of this song is my favorite verison to be honest. SO much emotion is put into the song. As someone who was the emotionally abused golden child to a mentally ill man who would praise me before making me feel like crap in the next second. So I hated myself to the point I needed to put others down in my head in order to seem like the better of the two bad options. I never looked at my partner and thought I was better than them, it was the opposite, I thought I was trash compared to them and so I needed to seem like I'm better than my 'competition' just like in school where I needed to be the 'smart' one because I may not be as pretty or successful as my peers, I needed to be smarter. Though now that I'm grown I realize I don't need to compete with others to be worthy and walk around eggshells for the people I love to keep them around, though sometimes it's hard. I'm still with my partner who is patient with me even though the amount of times I asked if they were bored or annoyed with me and the amount of times I told them I was worried about them leaving me.

Or at least very close to it, considering some great examples in Baelz and Mumei's songs and karaoke streams. Although I think, based on said karaoke streams and all, we likely haven't heard the full ranges of either of those 2 yet.

    Actually, this is her lyric of the song. The original lyric is completely different.

      While there are some liberties with the translation, I wouldn't call them completely different (unless you are just talking about the language difference). The overall message is also generally the same.
      What are the major differences in your opinion?

      @@MIC132MIC One is more about a kid and the other is more about yandere like. That's what I think at least.

      @@refwwwrf7204 While I agree that the English translation here is more "mature" I think both are quite clearly about struggles with expectations and twisting the meaning of love, which Roar caught on from this version, so it seems the main spirit was preserved.

      @@MIC132MIC It's a song where people need to pay attention to the lyrics, not just the chorus and catchy bits. I'm reminded of when people used to sing along to the chorus of "Semi-charmed Life" while disregarding the part about doing crystal meth. It's not the uplifting song of the 90's people thought it was.

    i want a reaction of her singing. not reaction of the lyrics. Sorry I got misled by the title.

      If you didn't hear me talk extensively about her singing ability, tone, projection, use of melismas, and emotion that translated the mood of the song so well, then you were playing the video on mute.

      He's a rapper reacting, rappers live and die for lyrics.
