    A bodega in Spain usually refers to the place where you would put the wine so It stays well conserved. It is called a wine cellar . It can also be a place where they exclusively sell wine as well.

    WTH. Sandler grew up in New Hampshire! (I did too). I guess he was born in Brooklyn, but he grew up in Bedford or something. Why is he doing New York slang? It's not genetic. He should be doing NH slang, like "driving your beater up to the notch to see where the Old Man used to be, then doing some leaf peeping before having a frappe at Friendly's."

      I remember bodegas in Queens (Elmhurst) in the 1980s. But I was living with a displaced South Boston Irish-American & Chinese & Taiwanese housemates--so ii never heard the word "bodega" 😬
