Say that shit!!!!! I still believe & rely on the good Lord! All that other stuff they be on i have to be very mindful i watch & follow now a days !!!! - - but i got tired of waking up and combing that big curly puff 🤣 thankful for these 132 locs tho 20months strong 💪🏽
The first one resonated with me. I just locd my hair because I was tired of doing it and I think it's cute. It's not spiritual for me. I'm not that deep 😂. I don't think Jesus cares if my hair is locd, straight, or curly as long as I live for Him.
Nobody has to bash or judge anyone for anything. It’s just a fact that locs are a spiritual act wearing your crown is a spiritual act and I think that’s why people would mention that and I think it’s nothing to hate on - just something to inform oneself about.
And source or “god” will ofc accept you in any form - but wearing your natural crown ( however that might be ) but one wearing their natural crown instead of buying WEAVE or WIGS ( supporting Babylonian acts ) which are more often than not fake hair for black people to fit into the western “standard” definitely sets a difference in your vibration overall, but that’s a different conversation.
@@Vibrationzb I can be honest in saying I’ve never really even listened to the reasons why people feel locs are spiritual. So I can’t comment on that aspect. All I can say is one of the biggest factors for me locing my hair is I was tired of the maintenance. I’ve never been into weaves or wigs, my personal preference. I’ve been natural for many years whether I straightened, wore my curls, or now locd. I’ve been saved and into the things of the Spirit the whole time. So I’m ignorant of what makes this particular way of wearing my hair more spiritual than my curls or straight hair.
Absolutely nothing wrong with loc extensions, at all. My issue is when people just straight up lie and say that it's all their hair (Eva from ANTM, lol). No one deserves to be bashed for it though, but just be honest or don't say anything at all. I agree with you 100% though. People bleach their locs and use "products" such as conditioners and their loc are still flourishing. Loc care isn't one size fits all.
At the end of the day it’s a hairstyle. I don’t understand why ppl be so mad when someone else choose to start their loc journey differently. Like just appreciate that everyone’s Locs are beautiful like come on now 😂
Fr. I joined a group on FB the other day and every other post is a complaint about instalocs or loc extensions. The people who go that route are still stunning. No need to shame others smh
I totally agree!! Me personally I DID loc my hair for spiritual reasons, but I don't expect everybody else to lol. Also, if you consider yourself "Spiritual" you wouldn't be so judgemental of others 🤷🏾♀️
I would agree. I have had locs for 15 years cut them and started them again. I think however the judgment comes because there is a level of shunning that goes on around locs thats internal, from your family and external from the work force that you have to endure. And maybe sometimes people hold onto that too much. 🤔 people become resentful after going through the pain of being called, ugly, nappy, dirty or unprofessional.
So judgmental sometimes 😂 We must do better ! The things I don't like: - Who says that showing roots, growth (so no retwist or interlocking for a moment) was a bad thing or wasn't cute ? 🥺 Hair is growing, I want to celebrate that. I’m not going to apologize because my hair is showing And I love frizzy locks - Dreadlocks VS Locs. Some feel offended by the first term. I respect that, but when it comes to MY hair, I use that term without any problem. I choose the positive story of that word. People need to respect that too. - Some people find it hard to accept that our hair care can be different from one head to another 🤔 For example, if you say that you do not use a product and prefer to do otherwise on YOUR head: criticism, unsolicited advice, refusal to accept another reality, or the argument "but our ancestors did like that"... Bish... I am from Ivory Coast (West Africa). Yes, they had super hair care and natural products, which are not *always* compatible with our modern lives 🤷🏿♀️ There are sooo many internal and external factors that differ: we do not eat as healthily as they do, we handle our hair too much (our so-called hair protective styles are nothing compared to their), our environment is full of pollution, water quality...
Girrrrrll!! Tell me about it. You hit all the key notes!!! Started my journey with loc extensions, and honestly, after I had gotten it in the beginning, I used to see so many videos hating on loc extensions. Lol, but chyyyy, idgaf. Everyone deserves to do what’s best for them. Also, you’re hilarious!! 🤣🤣💯
All of this. And emphasis on being so headstrong on individualized journeys then bashing anyone that didn’t “start from the bottom”. Just let people live lol
i’ve been following you on instagram for a while but this my first time tuning in on YT. you are hilarious and so pretty 😍 happy i subscribed! 💜 ps: i’ve noticed all this bs too and i’m only 4 months loc’d, ppl are so annoying
I like you because what you are saying is true. I got my done because of my back. I have a bad back and I rather have these then trying to do my hair every week lol
This guy at work keeps telling me I need a retwist and he used to have locs . Only reason why he is saying that cause there’s a girl there that never not has her locs done and she always has it up in a style . I want to say so bad her hair gone fall out in a couple years watch but coming up to me telling me I need a retwist only is going to make me go longer without one 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪
I hate loc extensions when I’m looking up loc journeys . I want to follow one with real locs lol . I was following this lady for two months then she uploaded a video stating she was cutting the’ out I was like bich 🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨🤨 they looked so real .
@@GoldeyLoc lol no I think that person was saying that they hate when people don't say they have extensions, and other people are looking towards them for natural loc goals not even knowing that they have extensions LOL
Yeah it’s ok to think locs are beautiful, because they truly are the most beautiful natural art that could exist on humans body, but yes it is a definitely a spiritual thing which goes way deeper than just being “a hairstyle” and I think people who do decide to wear locs whether it is fake locs or real - should be aware of that and just informed since it IS BLACK CULTURE y’all so don’t be offended instead just say if you haven’t thought about it in that way .. as yet or haven’t approached it in that way.. maybe one can give you more insight about it, either way try to respect the natural hair journey, because it is not just a trend - just being honest y’all !! Much light ya’ll !!
A true spiritual person wouldnt even expose there hair to the public. They would cover there hair all the time to prevent evil spirits from latching onto it.
Girl I’m so glad you did this! My loc journey is not spiritual. I just did it cause I was tired of my natural hair. 🤣
Say that shit!!!!! I still believe & rely on the good Lord! All that other stuff they be on i have to be very mindful i watch & follow now a days !!!!

Same fam same. 😂

Same this combing business was for the birds! My locs are almost three years old now and I love them 😌Best decision I ever made!
Yassss becuz I had loc extensions cut them out and did it for a easy go lol

Yesss do it for your own reasons lol to some people it’s literally just a hairstyle 🤣

Exactly I had locs for 3 months because I was tired of doing my hair! Got tired of the damn locs to so cut my hair off!

Yessss Naomi!!💕
I hate how people are shamed for the method they use to maintain their hair. Ex. Interlocking vs palm rolling vs crochet hook.
YES!! Everyone is different and different things work for different people!

That’s facts, the spiritual side stuff be confusin me I’m not sure if they talking about religion or what they’re referring too. Locs just fire frfr
Been waiting for a video like this. I feel a lot of people are so judgmental about other’s choices. If you don’t like something keep pushing
that part!

I love my locs; my journey is definitely not “quote on quote” spiritual. I made it plain on my channel that I serve “Jesus”, point, blank, period …

I wanna start locs soon. I’ve just been debating or regular or micro
I love both! sometimes I wish I had micro but I enjoy doing my own maintenance. Not to say you can't maintain it yourself but I personally can't lol.
