This would probably be best broken into a few pieces and made into videos with photos from the museum. High Quality version available; Tweet @evandoorbell
Another great post from Evan. Thank you for all you have done! Amazing
This belfast crossbar switch is one of the coolest telephone switches I have seen in person! worth the trip up!
Great video Evan. Thanks!
In many ways, I was similar to Evan in my teenage years- when it came to telephone number dialing and phone tripping. (Not to mention social engineering and dumpster diving.) These videos have answered most of my unanswered questions concerning the number five cross bar. I hope to see more. Boring? I should say not!
From Baltimore County, Maryland.
You should check out Connections Museum here on UA-cam. They have some really good in depth content.
@@TomStorey96 : Would you, in any way, be fascinated by number five crossbar and number one crossbar?
@@rosssilverwood6276 How ever did you guess? :-)
I live in New England, I gotta head over to this museum soon if I can!
My Dad retired out of Southwestern Bell here in Oklahoma and he has worked on many steppers. Then he replaced them with the Northern Telecom systems.
I heard MF tones in the background around 45:37 does anyone know what is happening there? Ive been to this museum multiple times and never heard any MF tones before.
Holy shit that's cool. And I'm from Portland, Maine. Lol.
