    Wow! That seam agate is beautiful. And both pendants turned out pretty. Its a shame that the smaller one chipped but it is still gorgeous anyways and the bigger one is really lovely. Both so beautiful! Thank you for sharing!

      Thanks Lisa! Yes i was bummed about the chip. You have to be so careful making the cabs. So much work goes into them and it's a drag when something happwns like that. Oh well practice will make perfect!!

    I can't get enough of those seam agates! That cliff will probably be a source of them for centuries. The cabs are gorgeous. Nicely done!

      The seam ran into the bank. Im sure it kept going under the soil through the woods.

    Interesting! That new seam with the pink purple looks similar to some of the pieces of mozarkite I found recently. I think material that blurs the agate/jasper line are really beautiful and are always super unique. Cool stuff! Rock on! Hope you find some new seams this year!

    Just an important details: I work in medical research field, it crossed my mind: are you up to date with your tetanos vaccine? Most of the people get it as children, but you should check your antibodies and get it done again, as you dig up the minerals. It is a harmless but efficient protection, no side effects. Please think of it. Best regards from Paris France ! Razvan 👍🍀

    Greetings from Paris, France ! My name is Razvan Tasca, I am getting my jaw drop watching the magnificent pieces you are discovering. Am collecting Minerals, mostly Agates, from all over the world. Do you have any website? Would be great to get some pieces from you! Am mostly into polished pieces and slices, not pendants or bracelets. Love minerals ❤ great work, congratulations! Best regards, 👍🍀

    Once again just beautiful work! Two quick questions - are you cutting with oil or water on your saw? Did you use CA to mount the stick to your cab? If so, how did you get it off? Thanks so much for making this content!!

    • @RockhoundingLife
      @RockhoundingLife  Рік тому +1

      Yes the saw i have (Hi-Tech diamond) is meant to be used with water.
      Yes i use CA to mount the stick to the cab but i have a proer doping station coming. The stick snaps off easy with a bit of tourque then i just sand the bottom to remove the excess CA.

    That's some really beautiful material, nice find. There must have been 2 separate events very close together that got the seam to be split into 2 completely different types of agate. Do you think you've got an pieces where you can get some of each type into 1 cab?

    • @RockhoundingLife
      @RockhoundingLife  Рік тому

      Thats a good question! I havent cut all the material from that day. I am interested to cut the rest to see what it is. Maybe in an upcoming video!

    Nice work with these cabs. Could you provide a link to where you can get the empty sterling silver bases for your cabs? Thanks

    • @RockhoundingLife
      @RockhoundingLife  Рік тому

      These ones are not sterling silver. Lots of etsy sellers sell them. Just search blank bezel on etsy.

    why dont you fill the chips with CA ? i use it for the same thing on knife handles and its as hard as any material i use in the end .
