I always thought the engaging of the supercharger pulley was movie BS. But this one seems to do that for real, sort of like the clutch on an AC compressor.
It seems like the blower in this car actually works most of the reproductions from the movie mad Max the interceptor is just a movie prop on top of the engine connected to the belt Drive Car sounds really good the engine even better good luck with it its a great car
In the movie the blower was a prop and was driven by an electric motor. This may have a working blower operated by an electric air conditioner style clutch. But I doubt it. Definitely is running Gilmer drive though.

Well yeah, it's done real, but the supercharger isn't actually pumping air into the engine. Replicas tend to work it the same way as the film did.
I heard that the supercharged AW11 Toyota MR2 does something similar,but it's just a rumor.
