- Looking for a professional vector software for iPad that could replace for you an Adobe Illustrator? My favorite one is Affinity Designer from Serif that works such as on your iPad as on your PC or Mac! In my opinion, it's a must-have software for every designer 😉
On today's step by step design tutorial you will learn to create a paper cut out effect like in Illustrator. You can follow this tutorial using Affinity Designer for iPad or for desktop (Affinity Designer for Mac / for PC (Affinity Designer for Windows).
I will show you how to use vector pencil tool and adjust the anchor points with the node tool, how to use smart duplicate tool and how to set up "inner shadow" effect for each shape so your illustration turns into a realistic 3D Paper cut out effect.

Connor J this could be a very interesting idea for a video 🤔 (quick answer: I film on my iphone 8 and edit my videos using Luma Fusion app for iPad)
My idea: You can draw a drop of water fall from some grace and make circles on water surface 😍

How I can choose the color based on the color code on the iPad?
You can switch to “RGB HEX” color mode on your color wheel so you will be able to enter the color codes 😉
An Idea for a challenge: Give us a simple shape/ line and we will need to complete it into a unique drawing 🤗
