Nine days of office duty can even bring an Astartes to his limits. I can oddly relate.
I’m the kind of nerd who would enjoy both.
"Your objections is noted.... and Duly ignored...." Best line of episode and probably the show. I think he was going anyway and was just being polite in meeting with him....
2:47
Grimaldus showing respect is one of the best moments.
Probably one of the best moments of that officers life
one never sits down and think about what a commander has to think about in a siege, this part is refreshing to be because it shows just how many things a good commander needs to think about before and during a siege, food, perishable food, death tolls and disease can be more detrimental to a defense of a siege than the attackers can.
edit: i hate to say it, but Logistics wins wars: fuck you rowboat girly man.
this fan animation convinced me that Astartes where not just weapons of war, but living, breathing Humans, sure augmented and trained for centuries, but deep down every marine started as a Human, with emotions, thoughts and flaws.
They’re at their best when they’re suppressing their humanity willfully and failing.
Logistics is often underestimated due to its tedious nature. Your explanation puts such an important emphasis on its pertinence and importance.

Gigachad Grimaldus
07
During logistics, planning, rationing, counting of arms & manufacturing, etc:
Grimaldus / any Black Templar: Oh, my Emperor! Please end this suffering.
Any Ultramarines: oooooohhhh, this is exciting! WAIT!!! WHAT DO YOU MEAN, IT'S OVER? IT'S ONLY 9 DAYS!
As the Codex dictated!
What an amazing feeling it must be to stand before an astartes. Much less be shown respect by one as Grimaldus did to Bariseth.
I hope one day we can gene edit Astartes level humans and get decent power armor.
Cant wait for Grimaldus meeting with Zahra. Also for his famous wall speach.
Reminded me of Helms Deep
It's kinda cool that the citizens of Helsreach were casually walking like it was a normal Tuesday in Armageddon
"Orks are invading again. Mondays, am I right?"
Lol precisely
I'm glad you pointed out the logistics scene. That one drew me in as well.
Subtle but fantastic
Ah, Logistics. The Black Templar must be the only sons of Dorn who dislike them lol.
Makes sense. The black sheep of the family (literally). Where the Fists are pragmatic and heavy on ranged weaponry, not religious -the polar opposite can be said about Sigismunds sons
I find it cool seeing the astartes trying to be polite and calm but angry at the same time the emotions are everywhere
This, Angels of Death, Hammer and Bolter... and the upcoming Space Marine 2 promising CAMPAIGN CO-OP... it's a good time to be a 40K fan.
Indeed. 07
my favorite bit even spm of the black HAte office work think this why he was so mad has to stay back fillings insurance claims for the god emporium
Lmfao
Warriors of Ultramar also highlights the foolish priveledge of merchants and nobles in the face of tyranid invasion. I don't know if there's an audiobook of it as well read as Helsreach, but I always thought it would make a good sequel to this animated version... I don't suppose GW will support a proper voice acted one?
Unfortunately they’re very much in their own designs.
*_And I endured it for 9 days... NINE DAYS._*
Lol
Helsreach, alongside Master of Mandkind, is my favourite Black Library novel ever.
07
Both read by the Imperial Saint Jonathan Keeble in their respective audiobook versions, too.
'Hero of Helsreach!' the crowd cheers. As if there was only one.
And, of course...
'And in the sunless realm, sun rose at last.'
ADB does what he does.
Man I dunno no nuthin about Warhammer but your stuff is a rad intro.
I mean ..stating that logistics is more important than strategy with that quote indicating it as more competent is equivalent to people making out that logistics is not a vital part of the forces ...without the proper man power or strategy ..you could have all the weapons supplies and ammo at your disposal and still be beaten by a less experienced foe or a smaller one ... Gorilla warfare being an example ...
Logisticians are vital ...they are needed to run the military ...without them everyone else couldnt do their jobs ...but their day to day role beyond bing a Sailor,Soldier or Airmen is admin and stores ..it's not a technical job like an engineer ...which is why you are/were paid less ...because you need lesser qualifications, standards and overall acuity to pass tests to achieve your position and carry out your day to day tasks ...
That being said ...there is no reason why the most clever person in the military couldnt be in logistics as it could just be a role they chose ...
You have to accept that those who have got to a position of command ..to perform their strategies ....have had to pass tests to get that responsibility .... At least in this day and age ...
Let's not forget that ...
Cope and seethe labcoat!
Your doing great 👍🏼 I enjoyed the break down. ❤ and title of each video.
07 king. It’s not as popular as the others but I think there’s depth.
Oh buddy you are in for a treat... it gets way better.
It is practically impossible to make anything serious out of warhammer universe.
It may seem easy, but if you think about it many things would look different if they were designed with seriousnes in mind (tank designs, armor designs, tactics...). Most of them were created with rule of cool in mind only. And then there are "logistics" - or what appears as them. Universe is designed to be over-the-top grimdark (imagine to suddenly hear about "worker union complains" in 40k). Other things were simply ignored, like the fact that there is no realm of emperor/order in the warp (despite imperium being second or third largest force in galaxy). I would imagine that there should be a relatively small network of safe and stable routes in the warp, existing through share combined will of faithfull in entire human population. But apparently no.
I think that power is channeled through the emperor himself which is enough to keep him alive and the astronomicon lit. Add in Imperial Saints and Legion of the Damned and it’s a lot of psychic work.
The Black Templars seriously kick ass, but the most kick ass of them all has to be Grimaldus. Greetings from Kilkenny, R.O.I 🇮🇪
Black Templars fight with... Iron Within full respect
Helsreach was some of the first info i gotten about 40K, and i thought it sucked.
After many hours trying to understand the Warhammer concept i have come to
think of this as a masterpiece.
Same.
Astartes yells at you, a mere man, while making fast arm movements... you dont piss yourself = your gritty, even for W40K
Indeed. I would gritty.
Only thing i find weird is that grimaldus had no idea what alarm means lol
Its a great piece of story telling, one of the best one out there.
I’m sorry to have doubted but it is indeed excellent.
Grimaldus has a way for things 🍷

Yea love these breakdowns more and more
Conor, I don't know why you didn't like the hand drawn art style. I feel like it fits the mood perfectly
I was looking for an Astartes clone
@@Counterpoints understandable, and perhaps we'll see that one day
i rly love watching your reactions.
It's about to get good. Nexts episode.
Masterwork...

Tell me can you tell me which movie is closely related to warhammer 40k
Event Horizon
COMMENTS, Brother!
07 brother
lol I'm going to get a pet Raven they are really smart birds
The fact that the wing commander had the least impact overall but the most influence in a single scene due to his and his unit's pedigree.
Definitely a softening blow and a political suck up move to Grimaldus who has made his dissent vocal and clearly dislikes working with mortals in a Hive instead of being with the rest of his Chapter.
Camaraderie is important for cohesion and just that act alone can bridge the gap.
Semper Fi
Advanced robotics would fix alot of the logestical problems that come with human soldiers
Mechanicus
Problem is, AI is absolutely forbidden and the closest thing to robots are servitors and Mechanicus robots (doesn't have real ai)
LETZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ GGGGGGGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

It's always a chore to be prepared before the emperor sends us to glory, I am always like logistics I've heard enough of stuff.
