I just picked this up at Best Buy on sale for $249. This will be my first iPad, I just could never justify the price before since it's just something I will use on the couch. Perfect time to pick one up.
@@PHT-199x Nope. Just for browsing social media, and other tasks that I might do on my mobile phone but with a larger screen. I have a Steam Deck that I use for gaming on the go.

I have bought it in September 2023 and I really like it! It is the best budget option I could afford, I use it mainly for drawing.
After my iPad Pro 2017 lost support on iPadOS 18 i rushed to back market and bought a iPad 9th generation, its 1. More powerful and the battery life is extremely well 2. My pencil worked with it but my keyboard didn't as the screen size was a bit different. But apart from that this iPad is wonderful in 2024 and yes it's worth it get it now and not next year.

If you do, I ended up returning the three 9th gen’s I bought for three 10th gen’s from my exchange online bc they were on sale for $229. No tax. And a year ago they had them on sale for $250 so I’m sure there the 10th gen will be that cheap again for Christmas
Most people are watching Netflix or reading books. For $249.99 this is a steal

Thank you, for your excellent comments about your iPad. Have owned the basic iPad 9th generation for several years and, my model has maxed out specifications 256GB and the cell data option and, it is also paired with a Logitech Combo Touch Keyboard and, the Apple 1st generation pencil. In addition, I have several Apple lighting adapters for my digital camera, SD cards, and USB 2.0 flash drives (smile...smile).
I also bought this iPad couple months ago to complement my MacBook Air m1! I mostly use it for uni and entertainment!

I bought this iPad in November 2023 because my iPad Air 2020 quit working. It works just fine but the battery life is bad compared to the iPad Air I had 💔 it was only $239 so I can’t complain too much
Why? My I have the 9th Gen and it takes me days to charge again.

I bought it this weekend! I have the mini 6 but I have a need for a bigger screen and I'm in a budget, so this was a nice purchase to stay with Apple and not break the bank. I got the 256 gig for $255 I actually can't wait..))
got one now to join my m1 macbook air and iphone 11 as my daily drivers and complete the ecosystem! i wouldn't really need to bring multiple chargers now since the ipad and the iphone 11 has the lightning port so that's easier when we go travelling, i bought a cheapo stylus for it just so i can know if it will be wise for me to actually invest on the real pencil or just buy a slightly better version of the stylus.
There are videos online of the 9th gen iPad being disassembled. They call it a 'teardown'. The A13 chip appears to be 1.5cm x 1.5cm. The largest units are the lithium 'capacitors'. If they caught fire: 🤯👀. It might be an irony if the A13, with its unlucky number, turned out to be 'sentient/conscious'. A lot of work for something a little over 1 cm^2.
Mad the switch to apple this year after I was disappointed with the performance of a new galaxy s6 lite tablet and my Samsung flip 3 had a screen issue that is more expensive to fix than just buying a new one altogether. Got the SE 3 for the phone and 9th gen for the iPad. It performs better than the s6 lite for the same price, although I had to spend 50 on eBay for an Apple Pencil. The biggest con to me is only 64 gig onboard storage.
Please note, the basic iPad 9th generation also comes in 256GB. This is the model that, I own (smile...smile).
The iPad 9th gen comes in 64gb and 256 gb storage - I have the latter and it is amazing

I just bought one. I still have my 128gb iPad Pro 1st gen!! 😂😂😂. I’ve owned my first iPad for 9yrs. It still does every thing I need. We use it for home school with our kids. I’ll probably buy 3 more 9th gen’s so my wife and kids can all have their own.

I pick up an iPad 9 base model with a broken screen at $25 and spend another $100 to fix it. Considering that's only $125, it's a steel.
I just brought a Ipad 10 generation (2022) for $299.00 I don't know why. The price and color blue was right.I got a gift Ipad Pro 5th generation (2021) M1 *12.9" and it probably have 4 more years left. I really prefer my Lenovo 2 in 1 touchscreen.
I have one now and it’s still great to use 👍🥇

In my experience, you can’t actually charge your iPad with your USB-C iPhone because the power delivery is insufficient. Even the iPad 9th-gen needs higher output than the iPhone can deliver.
I have it and im literally crying for the 10th gen or 2018 ipad pro.
