Unbelievably gorgeous, crystal clear but soft voices and exquisite harmonies. I love how Don’s deep voice sounds so passionate. And oh wow - his beautiful, wistful face in the photo at 1:38 is simply haunting…
I can not thank you enough for posting this track. I'm ashamed to say I have never heard this beautiful song before today and that is really sad because all Everly fans should know about this tune. Wonderful singing and a great composer.
Awesome ! First time hearing this song by them. The best harmony duet team ever ! No one has ever been like them or ever will. They taught everyone else how harmony was done. RIP Mr. Phil Everly.
been a fan of the everleys all my life what harmony together they had together bought kathys clown all those years what memories so good music r i p phill x
I read down the comments and was glad to read chiselnyc that glory road road is on chained to memory, thank you very much I have just ordered the box set should be here soon, I'm soooo happy. I love neil diamond but I think the Everly brothers rendition is much better thanks again
Wow! Again superb. They got better as they got older. I like all the later stuff. They should have been given more appreciation for the music they made in this time period. They never let up being professional or talented
Great recording! I'm sure Neil was glad to have one of his favorite recording acts record one of his songs. What album(s) is this on? Incidentally, I have been looking for a version of this song by Richard Mainegra that I heard briefly on the radio in the early 1970s.
According to session notes, when the Everlys were in the studio recording, Lenny W. wasn't sure where to go with this song, and an attempt was made to make the arrangements more uptempo.
i loved Neil Diamonds original version---but hated the "corny" keyboard sound--which I have to admit was a British innovation| I have Gene Pitney album which features the same sound.Very sad when you consider Gene had his own full sized band of seventeen players at the age of 19yrs
This must be one of the best songs from the Everly Brothers.
God hold them close they're singing for you now...💔
Soundtrack of my youth 🎼🖤
"Glory Road" was recorded by the Everlys in 1969, but wasn't released until 2006. You have to buy "Chained To A Memory," a boxed set to get it.
Thank you ,,,l love it
This must be the greatest song from the Everly bothers.
Me too. I love the way the Everlys sing this song.
I’m so into Everly Brothers and I am kinda older....
One of the greatest songs ever, sung superbly by the Everly Brothers.A timeless classic
So soft and so tender, its called art!!!
Oh God, always wonderful, absolute timeless Music. Where such Artists today.....
wont it be great to go back and relive all this over again what great times
Certainly would for sure!!!
I love their stripped-down, unplugged songs. Basically guitars and their voices. All you need. Beautiful. Timeless.
So beautiful it hurts. Thank you Bear Records for letting us hear this gem.
Its hurts so beautiful
absolutely brill what a beautiful version of that song.
Unbelievably gorgeous, crystal clear but soft voices and exquisite harmonies. I love how Don’s deep voice sounds so passionate. And oh wow - his beautiful, wistful face in the photo at 1:38 is simply haunting…
What a wonderful song!
I love this song, and their voices make it perfect.

I had never heard it either. I am a Neil Diamond fan, but the Everlys definitely has him beat on this one.

Beautifully sung. Thanks for sharing this rare recording. Surprised it took 33 years before it was released.
How sad. Such a beautiful and meaningful song to wait 43 years to be played. Amazing! The lyrics still apply to our time after all those years.
Exactly,,,,,it’s so beautiful , where has it been all these years?🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️
never realised they covered it--great diamond song
A fantastic video and exquisitely sung by the Everlys. They really are sheer perfection. I totally agree.
THANKS for getting this out on UA-cam. THANKS to BEAR FAMILY for FINALLY getting this one out on one of their FANTASTC Everly Brothers CD box sets.
What makes this version special is the harmonising. Neil sings it straight.
What a masterpiece! Angels must sound like the Everly Brothers. Pure Heaven!
Amen to that.

Now there's only one Everly Brother left. Rest in peace, Phil! :-(
just like Brian Wilson..and Barry Gibb...maybe they can be a trio for a moment
***** Wow.. That would be something...
Rozelinde, you are right. There is one problem, namely Who is the boss of the group? Tony Robson
A real gem why they never sang it live ??????????

I just listened to this song again. I love this version. Thank you for sending it to me.

Almost as good as Diamond's simple version.
I read down the comments and was glad to read chiselnyc that glory road road is on chained to memory, thank you very much I have just ordered the box set should be here soon, I'm soooo happy. I love neil diamond but I think the Everly brothers rendition is much better thanks again

Wunderschöne Harmonie love it so much. Thank's for sharing
❤💜💛💙💚
Check out the Scott Walker version. You'll love it. (There are two copies out there - one poor recording quality)
I like this version because it sounds more Acapella than Neil Diamond, But I Still like the Neil Diamond cover more.
@lejeune1945
Sounds great, but I much prefer the Scott Walker version, sublime!
Please ,,,,what album is this song on?
😊
Nice Version.....But listen to the Best Version...by ARTHUR ALEXANDER
