Have one massive party that all thinks the same is not good. Having people squabble rather than cooperate isn't good.
We need to pay polititions less, then we'll get better polititions.
I still have faith we can change things with our votes but we need to get the baby boomers to pick a better party than Lib, force them to clean up their act. Major parties need to be smaller, people need to pick candidates better and the system will start working again.
If we're talking about things we wouldn't pay for, I'll put down tax breaks for companies like News Corp, or big mining companies. If even a fraction of money allocated for those things went to the ABC, that would be a massive improvement to Australia.
I agree make big corporates pay their fair share of tax.
However (as Kerry Packer said) governments should use taxes collected more wisely like not funding an organisation that does not comply with the Charter / legislation that governs it; like not funding the rent seekers / snake oil salesmen trying to flog off such moronic ideas such as green hydrogen which has an efficiency rating less than 1/3 of coal.

However if are so against fossil fuels can you disconnect your house from the grid for 70% of each day as that is the % of power on the grid provided by fossil fuels.
@@noneofyourbusiness7396 Actually mate, if the Australian Government had invested in renewables at least *half* as much as it has provided in tax breaks to the fossil fuel industry over the past decade, then we'd be rid of fossils fuels for the vast majority (if not all) residences and retail businesses, and a sizeable chunk of industry as well.
Furthermore in the ACT, all power is already coming from renewable sources, so there's no need for people living there to remove their house from the grid.
