I just got a 2017 Kia Forte LX, and everyone always comments on how smooth and quiet the ride is. Sometimes I forget it's even on.

I've had my 2014 Forte EX (same color as this but grey interior) since July of 2013 and I still absolutely love it. I've had ZERO problems with it and use it for my work travels. It's quiet, has great navigation system, plenty of power and I average 31 MPG with lots of parking lot idle time because it serves as my office away from home between customer appointments. I love the ventilated and heated seats and never got tired, even after a 6-hour road trip. The power is plenty although it could use a little more torque. FANTASTIC car and I'd recommend it to anyone who wants all of the luxeries of a bigger car but just doen't need that much car.

I have a 17 Forte LX with a 6 speed manual and aside from it being an absolute accident magnet, I love it. Extremely reliable, too. I've driven it cross country many times and I will trust it to do so many more times in the future.
The tonality of that engine at 5-6.2k RPM's is oddly satisfying. Far better than my 2017 Chevy Cruze

I have a 2015 KIA forte koup I love it I took it as the 2.0l and put a after market turbo on it one of the best cars I've driven it makes you feel in control and the sporttronic shifts are decently quick its fun to drive car wouldn't recommend it tho for snow on. scale from 1-10 I'd give it a 6

So much better then the 2009-2013 generation. My wife and I both own Fortes. She has a Red 2016 and I have a Snow White Pearl 2017. Awesome car.

Agree i have the LX too but i chose the preferred equipment package, 16 inch alloy rims( i can't stand hub caps) LED turn signal mirrors some other extras but going on 3 months now and am glad i chose it coming from a dedicated GM guy. And not a fan of Honda Nissan Mazda Toyota so i took a shot at KIA. The 1.8 150Hp 145Tq has a lot of go and my combined average mpg is 30. Very spacious i might ad for this type of car, the headroom and legroom is amazing also being that i am 6' 3. My only negative thing is that the rear seems to sit up so while in reverse it is tough to see out the window.
@J Mills yeah I got the hub cap version lol but decided to just take em off cause I can't stand em either and installed some gorilla lugs... I'm looking to see if I can get the oem fog lights installed to but I'm not sure if it's possible or not... But we'll see in the near future lol....
Ive noticed with hard accelerations it keeps the rpm at the top to use most of its horse power. 170hp@6,500 rpm.

All regular compact sedans are common such as the Sentra, Focus, Civic, Corolla etc. Beside here where I live I hardly see forte's only optimas.
Most 4 bangers are pretty buzzy when they get up there in the revs. My Mom's Nissan Sentra has a pretty buzzy motor. This one does sound good at the high end though. I heard the smoothest most refined 4 cylinder motor is the 1.8 turbocharged in the Mercedes Benz C250.
This & the Elantra are better than all the other rivals.

People said this engine sounds coarse >6000rpm, but I think it actually better the faster it spins. Am I the only one?

Although I feel like it needs a little bit of a turbo boost, I have the 2.0 Sedan EX, South Africa version.
No UVO system, no reverse camera, no push to start.
Can I get the UVO and Turbo without voiding warranty?

I have a 2014 Kia Forte my husband floors it in the standard mode and it make this wastegate noise. And I don't think it's turbo. Have you heard that before?

That seems really good driving. But it also seems like a very common car, and not that kind of "fun factor" when you drive it :p
musically speaking, Forte means Loud, can you say that about this car?
I have that car it is one of the best cars i drive but over 90k to 100k is its max mileage, it is extremely awesome interior its looks like a 90k to 100k interior

I have a question about this vehicle if any owners know. When you are cruising on the highway going about 70-75 mph, is the pedal to the floor? I am really afraid of purchasing a 4-cylinder car as my first car because in driver's training I drove a 2013 Ford Focus Sedan (Titanium) and it was horrifying on the highway. My foot would be to the floor and it was only going about 65. In order to pass a car I would have to completely lift off of the gas pedal and slam it down like you're crushing a can. That was the only way it would go somewhat quick. Are all 4-cylinders like this?? Or was it just maybe a defect with the Focus I drove? My instructor told me it was a 6-speed auto transmission... :/
I currently have a 4 cylinder (Kia Rio) and I don't have to push it to the floor when passing or even doing speed limit. None of my 4 cylinders have been like that.

Well, for a naturally aspirated 4 cylinder with a 6 speed automatic, it actually moves pretty well. It did 0-60 mph in 7.3 seconds, 0-100 mph in 19.7 seconds, and went on to run a 15.6 @ 90 mph through the 1/4 mile in Car & Driver. I haven't checked what it ran in the other magazines though. I was curious myself, that's why I checked after watching the video. I know it's only a magazine, but it gives a basic idea of the cars performance.
I have never had to "floor" this car in the 2 years I've owned it. Not even when traveling 85 MPH on the SH130 toll road here in Texas. I've also driven an Optima, and 2015 Chrysler 200, both 4cyl. Never floored them. 4cyl vehicles are NOTHING like they were 7-10 years ago.

the car is very quiet my cusion has the same car but only its a stick and its still quiet and usually sticks are a lot louder the automatics but when she drives and gets on it it gets louder and then you can here the car

+Frank Salce it did not slide. The sound that you hear was the tires locking and unlocking at a rate that was so fast, that the individual chirps are not heard. I have a hyundai elantra, the sister car to this kia, and the ABS is the best i have ever used.

No it is included in the technology package. The regular one is smaller and does not include GPS. Hope that helps.

I beg to differ, Kia/Hyundai have come a long way then what they used to produce... Hense why Kia/Hyundai have become the fastest growing automotive company in America...
At first Kyle was great but he got annoying. No one wants a robot to show features of a car. He's just a living owner's manual, nothing more. This channel is dead silent and you can place yourself in the driver's seat, you can hear and nearly feel the car.

wow, after hearing that terrible suspension, i won't even be considering one of these cars. Sounds like EVERYTHING is transmitted through the chassis. I don't want the car to sound like it's falling apart every time I hit a crack in the road. Maybe the camera is amplifying it, but it sounds really annoying.
The sound from the camera is terrible. Everything sounds extremely amplified, mine is very quiet. This video makes the car sound really bad. Trust me, you should consider one.
Yeah, after watching some of his other video's I realized it wasn't the car. It must have something to do with his mic setup.
***** Funny you take offense before watching the entire video. There is an obvious problem with the audio in the video. whether as a result of the camera setup or not. There is no question, it initially kept me from considering this car, and there's a good chance it may do the same for others. After watching this channel's other videos on cars I HAVE test driven, I realized it was a problem with the recording setup. Watch before you criticize 8-)
