- Noticed this short wasn't available in full on here yet, so here ya go! One of my top 3 favorite Columbia shorts that Buster did. Also, sorry for the subtitles.. it was the only version I could find!

So weird to see Buster Keaton working with the three stooges crew of actors and actresses.. thanks for sharing!
Wait a minute, If Buster was in the Columbia shorts Who’s filming the stooges?!
Buster is always great...he is Buster Keaton after all. However, he disliked overacting. It’s a shame more actors and studios didn’t also choose subtlety, as we all know that BK’s earlier work and other less hammy comedy endured. Unfortunately, he was not as much in control at this stage of his career. Buster’s decline may have occurred due to his personal issues (divorce and coping with alcohol, even for a few short, but impactful years), not being an aggressive businessman, and a studio that didn’t recognize a man who could have transitioned into sound gloriously, if also given more artistic control. Yet, I’m glad he just kept going. He may have needed to support his family. He may have needed to accept any work and role that came his way. And that can leave a fan feeling a bit blue. But Buster was also seemingly egoless and jovial and his later work shows us a man who kept going! And that is a beautiful message. We have to just keeping going, doing what we enjoy, and hopefully bring some happiness to others. We will all age. All things change and not always for the better. But Buster made us smile right to the end. Not a bad life then.
Fabulous, I've only seen Busters shorts (sigh.....!!!!) and film clips so it's nice to see his later work is funny as well, if a bit more silly and slapstick. The scene with the officer trying to undress Buster reminded me of The Cameraman where he was stuck in a tiny changing room with a fat guy. There's sometimes a homosexual edge to his work which makes it interesting for the times, but lucky officer eh being able to grapple with Mr Doe Eyes himself!
Buster is awesome! Also that “homosexual edge” to his work is probably because most of the characters he plays are posh yet fragile men or the sissy archetype, the strongest example of this is probably Battling Butler in my opinion. Also he also included drag in his films/shorts which is awesome, especially considering the time period this was filmed!
@@gigivollenweider7607 The drag was for humor, nothing else.
Thanks! I've been looking for this one
This is so freaking funny, man. At 15:10 the ceiling crashing down is my favorite part.
Thank you for uploading this. Great fun.
"There's no dignity in the class of art" XD love it!
Great stunt performances.
The theme sounds like shemp howard solo theme
I love to watch Buster dance with those pans on his feet!
Good entertainment

Eleanor est dans ce court métrage buster allait enfin rencontré la femme de ça vie.
Buster married Eleanor in 1940. This film was made in 1941. So, they would've already been married.
Besides, Eleanor was not in this film
