Nice i also have 3 wranglers, a 2014 JKUR (my first wrangler) 2018 JLR, and last addition 2006 TJ SE. You in CALI same here too be cool if we get a meet up with 6 wranglers just curious what city you from nice video!
This is basically the same steps that we should take when looking for a mate. Check the undercarriage, check the fluids, check for overly worn parts, check the ECU / brain 4 malfunctions. This was definitely a solid video and very informative. Thank you :)))
@@Garagecouple that makes my day :))) I just happen to stumble one of your channel and I am so thankful that I did I love your content you guys are really good people :) ) and I'm a huge Jeep fan. I'm in my Wrangler every possibility I get :)))
Thanks for making it through the video in the rain. This video helped me out as I am going to buy a Jeep in the summer. One other thing to look for in the rain is a leaky roof. You might. See signs when you look under the carpet. Cheers!
Thank you for the comment! That's a great point, although be weary, lots of the TJs leak above the passenger footwell. This happens when the cowl fills with leaves and debris, and could be as easy as opening the cowl and cleaning it up! Good luck when you purchase the rig!
You two seem like couple goals. Thank you for this. I was thinking about buying a new Wrangler but rather than spend $50K, I'm leaning towards starting with a TJ. Helpful video!
Definitely check the tub under the carpets. People let their jeeps get rained on all the time and wet carpets not properly dried will cause rust. Also check the serpentine belt and all pulleys and make sure they aren't wobbling. You can also pull the factory spec sheet from chrysler/mopar with the vin #.
Great video! I bought a brand new TJ Sport back in 2003. My Jeep was well maintained and never driven off road. I started getting Death Wobble at 20, 000 miles. No mechanic was able to fix it! Finally I replaced all 4 tires even though they looked new. The vibration went away, but it never felt safe driving over 50 miles an hour! Please, do a video on the issue of Death Wobble!
“Death wobble” will happen in any vehicle that has worn out front stirring and other front end linkage, tie rods etc. Jeeps just get the attention because more of them are lifted and or fitted with bigger tires that wear out factory parts fast. One of the most important upgrades when adding bigger tires, is to up grade ball joints and other front end components depending how big you go. The driveshafts are also neglected far too often and will cause vibrations also.
Appreciate the video guys as always! You talk about doing the video in the rain or after the rain for us. Then do an incomplete video because of it by not wanting to get on the ground. A tarp or cardboard would have allowed this and only taken a moment to use. Something I’ve noticed in several videos of yours. If you want to grow your channel. Commit to what your doing 100%. In the end it will make all the difference for you.

Not sure that you might want a mate with high mileage.

Thank you for the kind words! Totally start with a TJ! You can't go wrong!

Very nice! Glad I'm not the only one checking these items!
Guys you’re the best!

Wow! Will do!

When the engine is not running, wiggle the steering wheel back-and-forth and listen for clunks or clinks send Check the body support mounts

Thank you for the support!
What is considered a bad mileage for a TJ?
I would say under 10mpg!
Garage Couple My bad for not being specific lol I mean like how many miles as in on the odometer
Andrew Jorquez 6 cylinders will last you a while ive see them as high as 600k
Great video ! New Sub 👍🏽
Thank you for the support! Welcome!
Thank you very much. Great video. What do you think about buying a jeep with more than 200,000 miles. Even if it passes the inspection
We are all for it as long as it sounds and runs strong!
Thanks!!👊
Cheers
Nice !!!
Cheers!
i bought a 1999 tj today
Don't judge a cars paint in the rain. All cars look good in the rain (Green TJ needs some wax though)
Thank you! The green tj has been replaced with the red rubicon!
Bagus sekali video nya.
Simple.. never buy a new jeep they are no longer real jeeps.. they are full of Fiat engines.
Our 3.6 has been great, but nothing beats the TJ for sure :)
Washingtonians laugh in mossback.
Hmm
