Thank you, thank you, thank you!! This is hands down the BEST website centered videos I've ever watched! This worked so seamlessly, which never happens for me. 😂 You walked through ALL THE STEPS and covered everything so thoroughly! Seriously, thank you! And I'm so happy to support a fellow small UA-camr!! Seriously!
Good question, the short answer is to use the conversion objectives (like View Content, Add To Cart, Purchase) for your ads now that you have your pixel setup. I'm trying to carve out time to create a video for that... stay tuned :)
@@therichardknight thanks bro I've already run my ads on instagram using Facebook I tagged only people from Uk and when I checked the chart on Instagram I found that my ad reached to people from Germany, Algeria, Philippines.. And many more countries expect UK when I contacted facebook support about it they said that there is nothing wrong, your ad reached to UK people, even that I show to them screenshots on my instagram chart, I think it's useless to run ads on facebook now.
I'm a little late to the party but I'm so glad you found this video helpful. Let me know how your store is doing and if their is anything you need me to answer. - Rich
Glad you enjoyed! Great question, if by "Thank You Page" you mean your Order Received page for Woocommerce then it's already setup for you. If you're referring to a Thank You Page for email optins then you definitely want to create a custom conversion for that. The simplest way to do that is to go to your Events manager and click on "Custom Conversions" (the star looking icon with a circle around it) all the way on the left menu. I'll definitely make a video on this one. Thanks for the question.
Hey MrTurner sorry for the delay. You definitely don't want to run both plugins at the same time. I would recommend you deactivate it if you're another plugin.
You are such a good speaker! Thanks for this video. You answered many of my questions! I wish you could do a video for fb feed with ctx plugin! Take care 💜
Hey @Inbal syncing your products to facebook would require the premium version of that plugin. I used the "official" Facebook Woocommerce plugin and I don't recommend it, but it is a free option you can use.
Hi Thank you so much for the great information. I have a woocommerce site as a subdomain to my wordpress site, will i have to create pixels for both or just the parent website? I'm stuck and can't find videos to guide me, thanks in advance for any guidance.
Hey, good question, I would just create one pixel to use on both the main site and subdomain. (I'm assuming the folks visiting your website are in the same niche as those buying the products on your Woocommerce store) Then I would install the plugin from the video on both your Wordpress site and your Woocoomerce site (subdomain). Enter your Pixel ID into both. Then test the events like I layout in the video for both setups and see if you get any errors. If all looks well, then you should be good to go. Hope this helps. Rich
@@therichardknight Thank you so much, I will give that a try! and yes you are correct, we have a blog/podcast site and created a subdomain for the merch (same niche/audience).
Hi, I suppose the pixel plugin will be using cookies? So how does that plugin integrate with cookie consent plugins? Or does pixel your site have a cookie consent option?
Hey csybe, great question. I'm not sure how Pixel Your Site integrates with other cookie consent plugins but Pixel Your Site just created a cookie consent plugin recently. I just set it up on one of my sites so that I can test it and report on it. I'll be adding that to the channel as I learn more about it.
What about these pixel events? coz i did all this but it says its not sending any information to facebook such as: "We detected event code but the pixel has not activated for this event, so no information was sent to Facebook. This could be due to an error in the code, but could also occur if the pixel fires on a dynamic event such as a button click".
can you do a video on the pixel and the catalog for fakebook. I am having issues with low match rate of the content id or product id. I have variablle products and its pulling the group id for the pixel tags but in the catelog its matching it to the individual product id for each variation - even using sku i face the same dilema the pixel pulls the main sku but the variations have the sku plus suffix for the variation so its not matching with the catalog
Thanks for the comment LNL. I had the challenges in the beginning as well. I'll add that topic to the list. What are you using to setup your product feed for Facebook?
@@therichardknight I was using the Facebook for Woocommerce plugin and have had a heck of a time trying to determine why I'm getting an event deduplication error. I'm now trying this plugin to implement the FB API and pixel. That said, I'm having the same issue with the catalog feed as LNL and cannot change the item ID's for some reason as I'm getting an error that states, " retailer_id cannot be updated." I'd like to either figure out how I can change the item ID's, or delete this catalog and create another one from scratch, however, I would rather not have to manually upload all 100 of my products so is there another plugin you use to automatically upload the products to the FB catalog?
Hey, I followed these steps but I still did not see anything in my overview as you were seeing the activity. The pixel extension worked just like you were showing in the video yet it still did not show me any activity. I also don't have SKU on my products on my site. So I used the left it as Product ID on the plugin. Do I have to have SKU in order for this to work properly? If so can you make a video or tell me how to set up SKU as well. Thanks!
Sorry for the delay, you'll have to add the FB tracking code to each page AND you'll have to add the FB event code to the correct pages (ex: the Add to Cart pixel event code to your Add to Cart page), I didn't think much people were using static html site but I guess their is still a use case for them :) - try this link this should help - facebook.com/business/help/402791146561655?id=1205376682832142

Hmmm.... Never seen that before. If you're still getting that error I'd recommend the following: - Contact the plugin support with that error - Temporarily Deactivate the pixel plugin, try another FB Pixel plugin and see if you get the same error - Try the setup again with a brand new Pixel ID Hope this helps, Rich
