      Jul is cognat to the english word yule and is pronunced quit similar. That is the name of the pagan celebration of the winter solstice in Scandinavia, England and Germany.
      The flavor of the julmust is juniper by the way.

    Nygårdas is very similar to Apotekarnes, they're in the mid-tier.
    There's a lot of like "high-tier" julmust, aged in oak barrels etc. They're the best.
    Yes, påskmust is the same thing.
    Nr.2 Tomteskum is the real deal, the first "marshmellow-skumtomte" is the copy-version of the real deal.
    However, you can make Nr.2 tomteskum even better, let it sit and dry out for a couple of days. The consistency will be epic.

      @simontodorovic287 4 роки тому

       @Karl Berg AB Roberts almost has a nationwide monopoly on producing essence, yes. But do they deliver the same essence to all the brewerys? Unlikely.
      "The difference between the brands is just the water content" Unlikely because they have different aromas.
      Apotekarnes, Nygårda och ICA's essenser är sannerligen snarlika, de är enligt mig i stort sett identiska bortsett från syrabalansen. Kan även tänka mig att de 3 aktörerna står för +95% av all såld julmust i Sverige. I alla fall Nygårda & Apotekarnes.
      Näringsdeklarationen på dessa är lika, men inte identiska. Energiinnehållet är identiskt - vilket sågar ditt påstående om att bara andelen vatten skiljer sig.

      Nyckelbryggeriets, Herrljungas, Zeunerts levererar en helt annan smakprofil. Finns hundratals små aktörer i Sverige som gör julmust.
      Kan däremot vara så att i stort sett alla bryggerier använder AB Roberts essens som grund för att sedan vidareutveckla och göra sin egna julmust. Det låter inte helt osannolikt.. Men att bara vattenmängden skiljer sig per del essens är ett falskt påstående. Räcker ju att jämföra näringsdeklarationerna på musten.

    • @liamnyberg8595
      @liamnyberg8595 4 роки тому

      Så det är nog inte osannolikt att AB Roberts producerar de stora jättarnas essens. Men att te.x Apotekarnes (Carlsberg), Nygårda (Spendrups) och ICA använder EXAKT samma essens i färdig produkt stämmer inte. Mer sannolikt är att de eventuellt utgår från samma essens, för att sedan vidareutveckla den för att göra sin egna utmärkande julmust på sina bryggerier.
      Det låter kostnadseffektivt.
      Precis som du säger, det är skillnad på smak. Smaker förändras marginellt av vatten. Koncentration förändrar inte smakprofil.
      Men påståendet är redan sågat, jämför bara näringsdeklarationerna och energiinnehållet.
      Eller enklare, bara smaka på ett par mustar så kan man känna skillnaden utan att behöva dra vetenskapliga slutsatser.

    There's aged Julmust as well - less sweet, more mature flavor that is slightly reminiscent of what we call "svagdricka", which is sort of beer-like (but not quite). It's very good (the aged variety of Julmust, I mean - I *loathe* svagdricka).
    As for traditional sweets, we usually go with "ischoklad" ("ice chocolate") which is basically chocolate blended with coconut fat - very nice, melts in your mouth. There's also "knäck", which is chewy or hard butterscotch with (or without for those allergic to nuts) bits of almond. My mom also makes these jelly candies that go back centuries, and chocolate truffles (though not these days due to being old and having diabetes). There's also polkagris ("polka pigs"), and soooo many cookies and pastries.

When Sweden got a state-owned alcohol monopoly in 1922, the alcohol-free drink was renamed Christmas and Easter Must.
