- dirt late model racing at the Tiger Pit in Brasstown, North Carolina with two cars. The Red Clay Oval team takes both dirt late models to Tri-County Racetrack to compete in super late model and 602 late model sportsman division. Byrson qualified 8th in the #12 Longhorn 602 car and Galen went 3rd quickest in the #12 Vic Hill powered Train Super Late Model. In the 602 sportsman main event Bryson finished in the 8th spot while gaining more valuable seat time. After the best qualifying effort of the year for Galen we over adjusted the super late model and was to tight when it came time for the Schaffer's Oil Spring National's feature race. Galen ended up finishing 18th for the night but we are still happy with what we learned for the night.

Readin the track is a 50/50 gamble,great to see dad and son out there wheelin it! I always wrote down the air temperature and humidity at every track we ran and what tire compound we ran plus the settings on the car. It’s a lot to keep up with but it helped us every year at the different tracks we ran. 👍🏻🏁
It definitely is a gamble. We do keep a notebook, we need to add those two things in with our notes! Thank you for your advice!
Bryson is doing soo much better holding his line, before long he will be a feared and respected driver amongst his peers!

That Train Chassis was a fast piece! Really really awesome qualifying run I was in the infield. Kinda came out of nowhere. Hate the feature didn’t go as well but still a very strong showing. Best of luck for the duration of the 2023 season!

Galen did great with qualifying, over adjustment on set up n she's a different animal. I never liked making geometry changes in the pits, j bar adjustment and lower front of passenger trailing arm and stagger to tighten or loosen the corners. Adjust driving style as needed.😊 Over thinking is easy to do, go with your initial gut instinct.
That is exactly what we didn’t do is go with our gut feeling. That’s ok, we know the car is fast and now we need to not over think everything. Thanks for watching and commenting.

With Bryson still being a rookie driver he did well! Holding his on. How many laps does Brysons class run?
If Bryson runs rookie/beginner class it’s usually 10 laps, if he runs regular 602 it’s usually 15-20 laps. Thanks for watching and commenting.
