Graeme, thank you all your videos. In the last three years they have taken me from a complete novice to a course angler of some sort. I catch fish now. Still a million miles to go but a great sport that I'm slowly learning about thanks to you and my grandson. Keep em coming please.
Cracking video yet again Graeme !! Superb content , loving the Stillwater Chub !! :) .I do love these videos , makes you want to go fishing straight away!!..keep them coming, Joy to watch . Nick
Just watched the video Graham, that was a cracking chub. Down my fishery a bloke I was talking to fished a dead chub out of the lake and when he looked at it there was a perch stuck in its throat!! We couldn't believe it!! Looking forward to your next video Graham. Stay safe!! 👍😉
Its friday, the rod farther is back, time to sit down and enjoy. Would love you to make a video of how you got into fishing, what age? Who inspired you?was you Dad an angler?. Think all of your subcribers would find it very interesting, me included, future video maybe? 👍
Thanks Graeme for sharing this one with us! This was a really fun trip. You probably should have taken a tent and cooking gear with you...seemed like you were going to be there all night and well into the next day. It IS so much fun when you are catching them rapidly. I would really appreciate a few videos on you catching Bass, Trout and does anyone catch Salmon with rod and reel?
You do make me laugh. That is definately IT! No more casts, I'm going home, absolutely definately going home, no last casts. 5 seconds later "I'm in!! lol
looks a lovely setting for the lake and the fish all look nice and clean Graeme, I usually expect to see them looking a bit battered in a commercial but the carp in particular look very nice. nice chub towards the end too, looks like you've found a nice lake👍🎣😎
Lovely quiet waters, no worn pegs, great views, pristine fish. Looking forward to more vids from here in 2020, hope you've got the route sorted Graeme :)
If you like catching carp and you want to catch the big ones, use cornmeal and strawberry jello to make your bait. Jello brand gelatin. This is an old Jimmy Houston technique. Works like magic. I have NEVER been skunked with this bait. It's the best. I use a can of corn, smash it all up and strains much of the skins as possible. Use this corn juice and add it to the dry jello and cornmeal mix. This will mix up well and make good bait balls.
Great vid, great intro. My dad went to Rutland water (a big lake, for those who don't know) When he wanted to leave, his GPS told him to drive across the lake and leave from the car park on the other side. LOL. TRUE.
Those top ponds remind me of an old clay pit we used to fish known locally as The Blue Lagoon. It was reputed to be over 50ft deep in places and a 'shallow' end of 8ft but you could still see the bottom the water was so clear. From what I remember, it only really used to fish well after dark when the carp came out from the deeper water.
Surely a new sat nav and a wireless mic are on your Xmas wish list! I was half expecting the camera to go at one stage 🙈 I haven't fished for 10 plus years but love your vids, spot on info, and amusing 😁
Great video know the water well Graeme, have been there many times only 25 minutes from home in Blandford. May see you on the bank sometime when the weather warms up. Great show as usual.
Wow! That’s a beautiful place there! Beautiful ponds!! You must’ve went there this past spring or early summer?! Awesome Graeme, or should I say “ Totally Awesome “!! Peace ✌🏻
Fantastic video Graeme, and what a beautiful place to fish.. Thanks for all the hard work you do on making these videos. I really do look forward to watching them.. Cheers Graham. :-) .. Have a nice Xmas.
This place is called dairy house farm just over the hill from me, and when I first ever tried to find it my sat nav told me it didn't exist either haha, how I ever I went on to campaign the specimen lake and had all three of the biggest fish in the lake one sunday afternoon, after half a year of tackling it mission Complete, very surreal place so peaceful 👌
Conditions will come good soon and you'll be able to get some "Pin" fishing in...Once the frosts start it will hold the water in the ground more and the rivers should start to come into top form..Aim to get out myself for some river/float action.
I know you guys have some kind of freshwater crayfish over there, I don’t know what you call them but they bound to be in most waters there and if so then you know the carp are feeding on them, at least they do over here in the states, and just about every where too! I’ve caught crawdads ( that’s what I call them), by either seining them or using a crayfish trap, and froze them whole and alive, do not freeze them in water, But put a whole frozen crawdad, crayfish, whatever you call them, on your hook, whatever kind of hook you use and you can either fish them under a float or on a bottom rig, but I’d just about guarantee that the carp ( or anything else) would hit them! I’ve caught Big carp using frozen crawfish, crawdads, crayfish, especially in small lakes, ponds or whatever ( paylakes especially, that’s what we call them over here, paylakes are kinda what you were fishing here in this video)! At least they look like paylakes to me! Anyway, good deal Graeme! Love it!!
in one of our club ponds (blue lagoon) we have put blue dye into the water . Apparently helps to reduce weed growth and also give fish some chance against cormorants. Looks similar to those
I have heard about it. But if it makes the waters clear does that not increase sunlight and thereby more weed growth ?..and would it not be easier for the cormorants to spot their prey in clearer water ? Or maybe it makes the water go clear but inhibit the weed growth .Maybe a fishery expert can tell us.
i too found a new spot recently. although i will have to wait till spring to fish it. i cant stand the cold. i like to enjoy my fishing personally. not constantly think to myself " oh christ i just want to go home already" every other second due to weather lmao
Carp are everywhere in the US where I live. Unfortunately they are considered trash fish in the US. People catch them and toss them on the bank. They are my favorite fish to catch and I think they are awesome fish! They even taste good in my opinion.
Fantastic video as ever, thanks again. Just a thought Graeme, have ever considerd getting a radio mike? One day you going to pull that camera of your's into the water, lol. Thanks again for the awsome videos.
That has been asked so many times before but he doesn't tend to do that is he. It annoys me sometimes too. By the looks of things I would call this one late spring like April or May.
I know some waters have blue dye added to them, something to do with algae not growing as well in light of the blue spectrum. Maybe that's why the water has a blue to it ?
@@TAFishingunderstand I love your videos. You used to call carp the dark side. I just remember when you used to put a hand full of bran on the water and fish for roach and rudd. Penn rod small creek is the best fishing video ever. Good job carp don't swim in the sea haha.
Hi Graeme, big fan from New York in the States! I'm just watching this video for the first time and that tiny "roach" you caught, perhaps it is an alewife?
Not at the moment. I used to do 3 trips a year, mostly the Keys or the East coast .Our currency exchange rate is appalling at the moment but if it goes up I may pop over.
That ghost return was hilarious lol. Thanks for the entertainment and the info, Graeme. Always great stuff.
Hands down the best channel on youtube. keep up the good work!

He has a video on this Q and A type style with Mike. I can't remember the title though

Reminds me of John Wilsons’ Go Fishing. Appreciate the effort you put in to your vids.
No problem I enjoy doing all the filming on my own,and of course the editing afterwards.
lovely job on that chub mate beautiful

Yes I can see such clear water presenting challenges in daytime.
Cool stuff, loved the intro. Keep up the great work sir.
Wasn't sure about the intro, but thought I would try it ,glad it seemed to work though.
"Just one more". I tend to do the same. Good show Graeme, thanks.
Wow what a session ❤🙏😍
Great Location !!

Another super video, thanks for sharing... Have a great Christmas
What a stunning ghost koi it is a yellow koi crossed with a common carp that's a stunner
I fished with corn, prawns coated with termaric powder and cleaned up, thank you for the tips.

Graeme, you should do a video where you go thru all your tackle boxes and gear.
Nothing worse than last cast fever, especially when it means packing up in the dark. Nice fish :)
Nice one Graeme,Top fish well done . :)
Keep up the great video content Graham.. and wow what a chub
Superb bid as usual Graeme, rivers in flood around here(Warwickshire) dying to try out my new centre pin, never mind TA keeps me going, cheers mate

Probably against the fishery rules... 😞
Peter Fitzpatrick - yeah , You’re probably right, of course I don’t know how fishing rules and regs are over there across the pond.
Awesome as always,,,,you ever thought about a Transistorised cordless microphone mic etc etc ??

great day graeme
Great video Graeme, you must tell us how you film like that one day.
Great video. When was it filmed? It would be really useful if you could indicate the time of year a video is filmed.
That has been asked so many times before but he doesn't tend to do that is he. It annoys me sometimes too. By the looks of things I would call this one late spring like April or May.
Hi Graham just been checking that fishing spot out they say a 21 lbs mirror carp was caught there in July.
Great vid bro 👍🤘
Come to Norwich please
Hi Graeme can you tell what is the mount you use for your Go Pro on the tall bank stick, great vid again keep up the good work!
Its just the clip mount it comes with ?..Glued onto a threaded bolt that goes into the bank stick.
@@TAFishing Oh right thanks, it just looks like there's more to it when I saw the footage or it at near the end of the video.
That's blue pond dye in there looks nice local lake by me got it done a good job with tackling weeds
Hey Graeme, thanks for the video. Did you only use size 16 hooks?
Go to caw gap Sheffield it’s a small fishery
I'd love to get you guys in South Africa for some good fun
Tiaan Van Wyk sounds ominous
Great video
Been there Graeme that's Dairy House Farm? Sat on the same swim had loads out off that island!
Correct. It is set in a nice bit of English countryside.
@@TAFishing Yeah local to me Graeme, live in Sherborne, Todber is my local haunt, keep hoping I will bump into you there one day mate!👍👍
If you wanna catch fish with bread go to chequetree fishery and you won’t stop catching on a good day 👍👍
Not a great fishery though mate
Try coombewood
I know some waters have blue dye added to them, something to do with algae not growing as well in light of the blue spectrum.

I could watch Graeme carp fish for hours
What fishing tackle did u use
Still got the carp blinkers on I see. Keep up the good work still great to watch
How so ? I put up more beach vids recently ? Another going up today, beach also.

Might be some similarity.
I'm from the U. S. and love you r videos. Can't wait for Friday. Just wondering if you have any plans to come over here and fish Florida again.
Not at the moment. I used to do 3 trips a year, mostly the Keys or the East coast .Our currency exchange rate is appalling at the moment but if it goes up I may pop over.
I hope so! Seeing your past videos that were shot in Florida are fantastic. Keep up the good work.
The blueish color maybe due to the algae killer someone put in. Some ponds around here in the OBX are the same shade.
I went there for a holiday once and fished the oak lake witch is the specimen lake and I highly recommend it
34:30 I see the mice have been at your landing net again Graeme?!
The wind is howling and the surface of the water has mirror-like qualities
Watch the tree tops in the background.
"A really nice chunky fat looker"..I've got a bloke at work that I call similar lol
Hey Graeme, happy Friday! Do you ever use nuts..hehe.. for carp bait?
No,never use them.Plenty of places ban them.
Merry Christmas from Canada Graeme.I am wondering why some of those carp haven't much scales left???
Do you mean they aren't mirrors ?...Or a part leather cross ?.(Leathers don't have scales, but I rarely see them these days)
Another excellent episode! Just one request...can you get rid of the bloody awful Jamie Cullum advert at the start? ;-)
I never get bombarded with ads. I went with paying for the premium service. No ads whatsoever and creators get paid....
I don't see any ads, use ABP = ad block plus.
Do an overnighter on the specimen pond
Bulbarrow freezing cold 364 days a year !!
Ok, this is definitely the last cast😀✌
that poor carp man, lol
I think mirrors fight more then commons What do U think ?
