Just did my test here, I passed pretty easily. Here are things to mainly focus on and you'll be fine. They will ask you things about the car, you will get a paper that tells you what you need, you can easily find this online but its just the basic controls of your car. Remember that the hazard lights is the red triangle and its different from the hand break. As with everything always check and look both ways, always check mirrors when signaling to turn or lane swapping. Going under 15 mph gives you ample time to do so if you've practiced. Things to know: 1A: Always turn to the closest lane possible, this means two things. If you are turning right, try to get to the far right lane that is near the curve before turning though it's not completely a fail if you cant. When you turn make sure you turn into the correct lane, if you are on the far right lane that borders the curve, stay on the corner lane as you turn. If you are in the middle lane, turn into the middle lane as he shows here 0:28. 1B: In the 4 lane ONE WAY road, if you turn left from the second lane from the left, turn into the outer lane like he did here 3:34, if you are on the far left lane, you would instead turn left into the inner lane. You can see the 4 arrows on the ground in each lane on that road to see where you can turn. 2: The parking space are big enough for you to enter so don't worry and take your time, its okay to adjust a little. The parallel for me had a lot of space in terms of length, the width was normal but in terms of length was really long so I had a lot of space to move up and back once I was inside the cones, it was pretty much 3 parking spaces wide in terms of length. Other than that it's super simple and as long as you understand the basics of which lane to correctly turn into and out of on the 4 road ONE WAY street, you'll be just fine, my test was barely 8 minutes long.
I really appreciate the information, especially the tips with the one way because that is where many fail, I also would like to emphasize that when turning onto a one way, you turn into the closest available lane, which feels weird doing but is necessary. If there are cars parked in the closest lane, then that lane would not be available.
I have mines this Saturday and I'm nervous 😓. I tool mines ar adren hills. I'll be taking my test here. There's was no appointments available. I waited a year and a half to get a appointment available. Any tips. I'm actually nervous
@@valeriaacosta9346 you can look up an ardent hill one, I'm pretty sure I saw one before. The layout is pretty much the same, the only difference will usually be where you start so just look at a video. For the purpose of these tips think of the 4 lane ONE WAY separated into 4 numbers, 1 to 4 from Left to Right. 1: Always turn to the closest lane possible. If you're turning right from the right most lane (lane 4) make sure you stay on the right most lane (lane 4) as you turn UNless there's a car parked there which then you can just turn into the middle right lane (lane 3). Same thing for a left turn. If you're turning left from lane 1, stay on lane 1 unless there's a car parked near the turn, in that case turn into lane 2. Meaning stay on the lane you're already on as you turn unless there's a car parked and there's no space. This is usually the case for right turns as some people park on the curve along the main building which sits next to the 4 lane one way. 2: when youre in the 4 lane One Way do not try to signal over more than 3 lanes, always keep it at 2 or less. For example if you're in lane 4, never go from lane 4 to lane 1 or vise versa as that's dangerous and you usually won't have time to do it well, they tell you to turn bit late on purpose to see if you'll dangerously try to do this. If you're on lane 4 and they tell you to turn left just signal into lane 2, in which you'll be in the middle left lane and youll still be able to turn left. Remember you can only turn left from lane 1 and 2, turn right only from lane 3 and 4. These tips are only on the 4 lane one way as that's where they really care about you knowing how to turn and from what lane. Parking you'll just have to find the right measurements for your car and use that no matter how weird. There's a lot of videos on the eagen one so just look at some that help you understand the 4 lane one way.
@xerodight2057 thank u so much. I hope I can remember all these. I'll be taking mines at plymouth this time. Since, it was the only available appointment. It hard to find appointments
@valeriaacosta9346 then you won't have to worry. The video shows everything, just ignore what i said and follow the video, dont think too hard. Mines was exactly the same thing. The parking are super easy and the parallel is way generous so don't worry about not getting in, just worry about making sure you're not sticking out too far from the curve. The route will be the exact same thing he did. Just focus on which lane he turned into and out of the 4 lane one way and why.

There was an area blocked when I went and from watching other videos years ago, the area seemed blocked too then, so I think its always blocked, and as for the controlled intersection I have no idea.
Apologies for the late reply, but I actually got points deducted for relying on my car camera, use it more as a tool and mostly look at the back of your car.
Parking brakes vary on each car, also hazards is the button that turns on both turn signals. Please do more research on the features on your car as they will ask you on the test and to just be a safe driver on the roads

Hello, a question, when you parked on the slope, why should the tires point towards the sidewalk? Isn't it from the opposite side!? sorry I didn't understand correctly
When parking uphill at a curb, turn your front wheels away from the curb. When you're parking downhill, turn your front wheels toward the curb. Just un case the vehicle starts suddenly rolling it hits the curb.
Can you practice on the course without getting caught I failed 8 times. I graduated two years ago and no I can’t find a job currently struggling to find work. I have a child but no job due to not getting my license. I need help I know how to drive just and I have driven on highways of speeds up to 70 miles and hour, just stuck with bad instructors. I don’t know what to do
I think you might need to get an instructor bro, what have you failed on in the past? I really wish you the best of luck with this and it can be stressful, on your next tests dont think about the pressure and be confident and tell yourself you can do it and focus on the road. Good luck bro.
I was not prepared and did not research much of the course, for the first one in Eagan: Turned into the 2nd lane in a one-way, I think my turns were too close to the curb, (even when I knew when my car was at all times), I probably didn’t exaggerate to look enough though either. For the second one at Fauribault: I missed one intersection turn and forgot to point my wheels to the curb in the downhill stop, signalled too early at an intersection and didn’t look enough. I think I wasn’t experienced enough for my first two tests and I finally was for the Plymouth one, now I’m confident in my driving.
@ you put regular parking and emergency brake! when parking uphill be sure to have your wheels away from the curb (up up and away). when parking downhill turn your wheel towards the curb!
@@V4MP-p8jwhen parking for example the 90 degree there’s 2 lanes do you have to be in the lane that you approached the 90 degree back on or can you be in between or in the other lane because you are just parking?
Not sure why hazards were used for hill parking. Not required and not necessary. Also, not sure why the turn signal was used rounding a curve on the roadway. However, glad this driver passed. Congrats!
Used hazards just cause and didnt get any points reducted, I also watched another video before that said they used turn signals each corner intersection, I also got points deducted my first exam cause I told my instructor I didnt know the curve was an intersection.
Welp, I'm back watching all these videos. I can't, for whatever reason, drive on unmarked roads. It confuses the absolute crap out of me. That's the only thing that keeps getting me and I keep failing. Why do they do this on the closed course roads when that's not how it is in real life. Even my driver's ed instructor said my driving is good but it's those damn unmarked roads. I think for my next test I'll try it on an open road as its easier because there is more signs and guide lines on the ground. I'm so angry.
I’m sorry to hear that, I understand your anger but in the end, the relief will be amazing, the only tips I can give you is just try driving on a unmarked road and sticking to the curb and just getting practice, it’s all about understanding where your car is at all times and what space your car takes up. I wish you luck next time and I hope this doesn’t discourage you.

Parking brakes vary on each car, also hazards is the button that turns on both turn signals. Please do more research on the features on your car as they will ask you on the test and to just be a safe driver on the roads
@@oxopot I passed! I asked my dad to clarify and we experimented with it to figure it out before hand. 😎 Thanks btw!
At 5:02- Since I am making a left turn, can I go into either left lane? I noticed that you turned onto the left curb and parked there at the end. Would it be wrong to turn into the center lane next to it?
Yes it would be wrong, because when you turn on a one-way, you turn into the closest available lane.
@@oxopotthat was my mistake!!
@@safiyaseydomar3914 Yeah, that was my mistake at another closed course, thats a good way they get you to fail

@@Capops how parallel and back in parking? Were the cones spaced out enough? I'm most nervous about that since I'm gonna be driving a truck it's all we got lol.
@@jaimeojeda4780 cones does look close but there’s enough room for both parking. I was in a suv too but i made it. You can adjust too if you’re close to knocking over the cones.
What does SMOG mean
Signal, mirror, over the shoulder, go
At the start of video where you have to turn right we should go into rightmost lane right ? But as car was there you move to second lane from right
Yes, you turn into the closest available lane
How did you know the lane wasn’t available could you see that car before you turned? Would it be a fail if I turned into the closest lane and then switch lanes?
I’m taking my exam next tuesday any advice. I’ll let you know if I pass
How’d it go?
@@aba-ee7yqI had to reschedule it I wasn’t able to go but ill tell you when I pass/fail
Does the driving instructor tell you where to go or do you just drive?
They instruct you, thats why its very important making sure you're in a proper turn lane and turn into the closest lane in a one way.
Even though their is a car in the closest lane it’s far away , would you go closest lane and then change lanes? Or just go to the 2nd
Just the second, you turn into the closest available lane.
@@oxopotcould you see the car there before you turned? How did you know it wasn’t available?
@@lameesabid6414yes u can see the car before you turn
Are there marked speed limits? What speed did you go?
I went mostly 20 mph, check the bottom left for the speed
Hello, a question, when you parked on the slope, why should the tires point towards the sidewalk? Isn't it from the opposite side!? sorry I didn't understand correctly
When parking uphill at a curb, turn your front wheels away from the curb. When you're parking downhill, turn your front wheels toward the curb. Just un case the vehicle starts suddenly rolling it hits the curb.
@@oxopot thank you very much for your help 🙏🏻
What does SMOG mean in this video. Anyone to help with this please 😬
Signal, mirrors (check them), Over your shoulder (look at your blind spot), Then Go
passed today thanks you
Can you please tell me what all you did?
What was the speed limit and was there signs??
20 MPH so I went 15-20. You can also check speed on bottom left of the video,
@@oxopot was there a sign for the speed limit or did you ask?
@@ninahuynh9776 I looked it up before my test, another comment also said they asked and it was 20 MPH.
Is there a speed limit posting ? If not what’s the speed limit??
You can see the speed on the bottom left of the video, I think I went 15-20
can you make a turn on red ? I checked ur description is it updated
i failed today lol imma retake it my second time in sep any advice. i failed on my paralle parking. they are so small
Just keep practicing go to the dmv and practice after hours
@@LS-vc9uqcan you really do that?
Where is the no turn on red sign
Can you practice on the course without getting caught I failed 8 times. I graduated two years ago and no I can’t find a job currently struggling to find work. I have a child but no job due to not getting my license. I need help I know how to drive just and I have driven on highways of speeds up to 70 miles and hour, just stuck with bad instructors. I don’t know what to do
I think you might need to get an instructor bro, what have you failed on in the past? I really wish you the best of luck with this and it can be stressful, on your next tests dont think about the pressure and be confident and tell yourself you can do it and focus on the road. Good luck bro.
howcome it took you 3 tries if u dont mind me asking ?
I was not prepared and did not research much of the course, for the first one in Eagan: Turned into the 2nd lane in a one-way, I think my turns were too close to the curb, (even when I knew when my car was at all times), I probably didn’t exaggerate to look enough though either. For the second one at Fauribault: I missed one intersection turn and forgot to point my wheels to the curb in the downhill stop, signalled too early at an intersection and didn’t look enough. I think I wasn’t experienced enough for my first two tests and I finally was for the Plymouth one, now I’m confident in my driving.
first test tomorrow!!!
did you pass
Exam april 24
Do I need to bring my own car?
yes!
I have my test tomorrow!!! Update: I PASSEDDDDD!!1
Did they have you do everything just like in this video? Or did they add extra stuff on it?
@@vaevz i did the exact same route and everything! key tip is too over exaggerate so they know you aware of your surroundings and stay calm.
@@V4MP-p8jwhen you do downhill or uphill parking do put regular break or hazards?
@ you put regular parking and emergency brake! when parking uphill be sure to have your wheels away from the curb (up up and away). when parking downhill turn your wheel towards the curb!
@@V4MP-p8jwhen parking for example the 90 degree there’s 2 lanes do you have to be in the lane that you approached the 90 degree back on or can you be in between or in the other lane because you are just parking?

25 mph
The flashing red light changed to a normal light I just failed
Haha. It is pretty fast but don’t worry I know you got it In you to pass.
My test is tomorrow I hope I pass ...what is smog?
I hope you passed! Signal Mirror Over the shoulder Glide.
@@oxopot Thanks for clarifying. I appreciate it.
Did u passed ?
Yes
Tomorrow 🫡
taking it tomorrow goodluck to me
Welp, I'm back watching all these videos.
