I'm not even pregnant and I LOVE the creativity and the ability to use something you already have (especially because those pants are so expensive to buy) thank you for this tutorial and yes I would like to see more clothing DIY. You gals rock!
This is a GREAT idea to reduce pinching-around-the-middle for women with prolapse! Pelvic organ prolapse is super common, especially among women who've had babies, and tight waistbands cause downward pressure that can aggravate the condition. I'm going to be sharing this tip with every woman I know who has prolapse... Might even have to make a video about it on my UA-cam channel! Thank you!!!
Thank you so much for this DIY video. I just tried this with an old pair of jeans and they turned out so well I'm going to convert several others. I'm a novice but more or less capable with my sewing machine, at least when it comes to easy stuff and your instructions were really easy to follow. I think I will do the next pair by hand as you suggest because it was really tough to sew near the rivets in the jeans. Great video!
So relieved i found this! I cant find jeans that fit in my legs and be big enough for my waist. Plus my work dress code is t-shirt jeans and a belt! This will work perfectly! Yay.
This is a great hack. I’m done having babies but my waistline varies depending on hormones, food etc and I think I’m going to give this a go on my favourite jeans that I rarely get to wear. Thank you!
I'm making these for pants that are a little too tight! Also just wanted to say that Target sells maternity leave that look A-M-A-Z-I-N-G on non pregnant women! I have a tummy that is a little bigger than the rest of me, like my waist is a size 14 in women's or 17 in Juniors but my hips, legs and butt are a 6 in women and 9 in Juniors, that's a 4 size difference! It's just stretched from having 4 kids. So I went to Target to try on maternity pants because I was pregnant again and I was really bloeated (I had 2miscarrieges this summer) the pants were absolutely gorgeous! I could wear my normal size 6 without having a muffin top lol and there's not a big wide piece of elastic, it was more like the fabric on a maxi skirt at the waist where you fold it down as much as you want and it gives you that great flat tummy look, so these jeans are regular jeans, they're distressed, faded in the right areas and they got dark, light, medium, black and also from a little distressed to alot with holes or patches! Only difference? They have that wonderful maxi skirt fold over waist! I can't describe to you the level of comfort and beauty these have brought me! They're about 24$. But if you don't have 24$ to spend or want to wear your amazing favorite pair of jeans throughout your pregnancy then do this hack that the video shows because they sell these exact kind of jeans for about 30.00. why pay for 💰💸💲 when you can do it for about 5💲
Wow this is the most brilliant conversion idea i have seen so far. Have many pant that dont fit post baby. Will convert all and start rocking it. Thanks a million have been holding on to many clothes with hopes of getting back to previous dress size😃
I´m going to be honest. I´m 15. I don´t have kids and I´m sure I won´t have them until I´m 30 or more. But I love your videos. You are one of my favourites channels. Your tutorials, parodies and videos are amazing. Your kids are amazing and I spend hours watching your channel. Congrats, and keep doing videos, you do it great.
my puppy is dead i miss him so much 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😔😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐶🐕🐕i am crying i miss him i loved him so much 😢😢😢😢
This would be SO much more comfortable then normal maternity jeans/shorts etc. Great DIY, will definitely use this awesome idea with my next pregnancy!
Wonderful! Before I viewed this, I bought the same elastic to extend the waist of my leather pants. (Not pregnant!) I haven’t cut them yet but am deliberating on where to cut to add elastic. Pants have no pockets but a waistband & zipper. I’m thinking of converting them into pull-on. Any ideas?
Yes please for more clothing diy! Especially maternity. I'm pregnant for the first time and am getting to the stage where I'm not ready for actual maternity clothes but my regular clothes are getting a bit snug!
Okay, mind blown! Totally awesome! I couldn't tell if you sewed the pocket shut or if you just attached the elastic to the back layer of the pocket so it was still usable.
Love these maternity pants! I'm not used to sew but this can be a good start! Do you think it's possible to use fabric from leggings? Or do I need to buy a special elastic fabric?
Thank you so much for the video! My husband was just talking to me about buying some cheap maternity pants since my pants are now getting too tight and after seeing this I quickly put him to work. He is now on his third pear of DIY maternity pants. I'll be set for the rest of my pregnancy, and it only cost us maybe 6$ Thanks again!! xx
This is by far the best tutorial or DIY maternity jeans I have ever seen! I was dreading buying new maternity pants but now i don't have to! Thank you for this amazing DIY!
Looks pretty simple. Can I use plain old cotton lycra fabric? I'm too lazy to hand sew could I use my machine with ease or is it better to hand sew? Thanks.
I am definitely not pregnant, but ..this is great idea also for comfy jeans, I think would even look cute to add some stretchy lace over the black elastic Great video! Thanks
What's up moms, thank you so much for all the amazing videos. I've watched for a very long time now before I had kids. Now I have 2 year old twin girls, and my 3rd child, yet another girl on the way. thank you!!
I swear to all that is holy, I am doing this. My youngest is 11 months old and I'm never giving birth again, but maternity pants are the most comfortable things that have ever graced my body. THANK YOU!
perfect! I'm kind of between sizes with maternity pants so they're either too small or too big, but my old jeans would fit if I could just get them over this baby belly! Gonna try this out on a pair!
I love this. I'm thinKing of doing this with the pre-baby pants I never fit back into. I wonder what elastic they are using. My pockets are 4" deep from the waistband and I've only found 3" wide elastic.
I have watched so many how toos for extending the waistband on Jean's and this is by far the best, it can suit even Jean's that are only a bit tight, thanks so much for that, can even use different colours of elastic, when you lose weight💨 tighten them up again
I look forward to your DIYS every week. I've tried nearly every DIY you've done and given to my friends as a gift. They always thinks it's store bought
Maternity pants, maternity pants the elastic waistband just makes me want to dance. The way they expand, I see your glance so why not take a chance at maternity pants!
these are so cool. defiantly going to make some my next pregnancy. please do more clothes hacks. I would love to know if she made her off the shoulder shirt or not
+Jayesha Iqbal Hehe I thought the same thing when I was you're age. I'm now almost 29 with a 6yr old and another on the way and my BFF and I never imagine we would be moms. Definitely be careful lol.
omg i wished i knew about this with my first kid. now that I'm on my 2nd pregnancy, will definitely be trying this out!! i miss wearing jeans!!! thanks soo much for this hack!!
HAHA... THAT WAS SO CUTE... Lincoln: Mommy do you have a baby in your tummy? Brook: Haha, no sweetheart I don't have a baby in my belly. I was laughing so hard
I have been trying to get my jeans to fit for ages! I'm small but I have the old lady belly, and that is because I am an old lady, but I still wanna wear my jeans. Thanks for the tip!
I'm only 14 and I'm absolutely in LOVE with this channel, pretty much sure I watch it more than an actual mom! I really wish one of my neighbors or family members were having a baby because I would so make them everything on this channel. Xoxo- Laur
OMG! Love this one!!!! I'm having my second and was just trying to figure out wher I put my old maternity jeans in the house. Now i can just make a few pairs. #Winning!!
More clothing diys! That looks so easy.. I'm pregnant now and just starting to lose room in my normal jeans but I don't want to spend a fortune on maternity jeans. Thanks!
OMG thanks soooo much by me being plus size maternity pants cost a lot I already spent money on my everyday jeans now I can look cute without being broke thanks😊
Hi guys, could you possibly do a breastfeeding series? Tips, hauls, that kind of thing. I watched Megs video she did on the must haves but I didn't find anymore on the series & I would LOVE y'alls advice!
My main problem with maternity pants is typically the fit in the legs (so, bootcut vs straight or skinny jeans) and lack of decent pockets. Any ideas on keeping the pockets?
Where were you when I was still having babies and trying to make my own maternity pants?! What a disinter it was. Lol! This is so cool and easy. Thank you for sharing. Putting it in the back of my head... just in case. 😉
Great tip! I am actually a mature woman who is thin except for my persistent diabetes belly! I haven't worn Jean or any pants without elastic in decades. Goodwill, here I come! Yes! Do more clothing hacks by all means. Just wait til my sister sees this video. I appreciate it for us both. God bless you both. Grace
I'm 12 years old and love watching all of your videos!! I mean there so good! And it's good to prepare for when I have kids which is like in a decade or two 😂, anyways keep up the good work!!!
Îm currently 20wks pregnant and have gained 18pounds from now, not only in my belly but more especially around my buttocks and on my hips. I stopped wearing my usual clothes very soon during my pregnancy (the first month) becausr my belly has popped very quickly). Will this hack work for me? I’ll be so sad to spoil a pair of jeans if it just doesn’t fit or just slip on my butt lol Thank you🙂
I’m not pregnant, but I have gained weight that went straight to my tummy. This will save me from buying more jeans that fit my belly, but not my thighs. Thank you!
I remember doing this during my pregnancy 3 yrs ago. Unfortunately it didn't help as I grew in size. My hips and thighs got bigger as with my belly hehe!! Awesome tutorial tho ladies! ❤️❤️
will the pants still fit properly after having the child? i always go right back down to my original size immediately after having my children. (my stomach is really the only body change i get. )

I love this idea and I’d like to try it. I just need to know what size the elastic is. Is that on a 4 inch roll or 6 inch ?
Wow amazing hack! Loved this, it's a bit too late for me at 34 weeks but so clever xx
This seems like the perfect idea for my mum! She's not pregnant, but none of her favourite jeans fit her. I'll suggest this to her! xx
Wow this is the most brilliant conversion idea i have seen so far. Have many pant that dont fit post baby. Will convert all and start rocking it. Thanks a million have been holding on to many clothes with hopes of getting back to previous dress size😃

My thoughts exactly 😂
I have a thyroid issue, and this is fantastic for those days when my body feels like expanding three sizes, especially around my stomach.
Wonderful! Before I viewed this, I bought the same elastic to extend the waist of my leather pants. (Not pregnant!)
I haven’t cut them yet but am deliberating on where to cut to add elastic. Pants have no pockets but a waistband & zipper. I’m thinking of converting them into pull-on. Any ideas?

Me too! Im in the same dilemma, i will try this and see how it goes, it seems confortably 😍
Dude!!! What an awesome hack!! I hate shopping for maternity clothes! Thanks for sharing!

More clothing diys! That looks so easy.. I'm pregnant now and just starting to lose room in my normal jeans but I don't want to spend a fortune on maternity jeans. Thanks!
Totally gonna do this. I love my regular jeans but they don’t fit me now. Thanks for the tips!!!
More clothing Diys would be cool but also do more Diys that you could do with kids!🙂 love your videos!
If you cut the elastic double the width of what you cut out, how does it lay flat? You sticthed the outside seam exactly where you cut it, right?
OMG thanks soooo much by me being plus size maternity pants cost a lot I already spent money on my everyday jeans now I can look cute without being broke thanks😊
Hi guys, could you possibly do a breastfeeding series? Tips, hauls, that kind of thing. I watched Megs video she did on the must haves but I didn't find anymore on the series & I would LOVE y'alls advice!

I feel the need to make some of these for when I go out to lunch/dinner!!!
These are AWESOME. I'm really tall and freaking out about finding tall maternity pants; this is great to know!
how has no one ever thought of this before? Great idea!
My main problem with maternity pants is typically the fit in the legs (so, bootcut vs straight or skinny jeans) and lack of decent pockets. Any ideas on keeping the pockets?
This hack is also handy if there's a pair of jeans on sale but not your size, or they fit perfect everywhere but the waist!
Where were you when I was still having babies and trying to make my own maternity pants?! What a disinter it was. Lol! This is so cool and easy. Thank you for sharing. Putting it in the back of my head... just in case. 😉
For the next DIY can you guys please make floam please? Keep this comment on the top if you want Brooke to make floam! :)

This is great I have stomach issues so jeans was out of the? Because of swelling this is great just finished my first pair. Thank you
I did something similar with my legging when I was pregnant : I cut a V shape in front of my pant and sewed an elastic band: it worked perfectly !
Will this work on high waisted jeans.?
Love this! Would love more maternity clothes DIY!!!
Îm currently 20wks pregnant and have gained 18pounds from now, not only in my belly but more especially around my buttocks and on my hips. I stopped wearing my usual clothes very soon during my pregnancy (the first month) becausr my belly has popped very quickly). Will this hack work for me? I’ll be so sad to spoil a pair of jeans if it just doesn’t fit or just slip on my butt lol
Thank you🙂
Awe, I just had my last baby one week ago! I was wondering how to make comfortable maternity jeans, from my own!! Great Idea!!! :)
I’m not pregnant, but I have gained weight that went straight to my tummy. This will save me from buying more jeans that fit my belly, but not my thighs. Thank you!
when she says sweet heart it warmed my hearttt
So I totally tried this and yours came out much nicer than mine lol! Thank you for this idea :)
(my stomach is really the only body change i get. )
They r so beautiful!
Can Glue The Elastic With Fabric Glue Instead Of Sewing It ?
I totally love this method. Its so easy to do.
I'm 11 and I still really love your videos
Love that they have been uploading early
What a great idea! And so much more affordable than buying a bunch of maternity pants!!
I'm not pregnant, but I have Crohn's and get swollen after I eat, which can be painful in regular jeans. This is brilliant!!!
I'm watching this video when I'm making your DIY tassels ! :)
would fabric from my leggings work? or would I need the elastic
These are awesome! I wish this had've been around a few months ago when I was expecting!! More clothing DIYs please!
