HACKS:
• If you can't remember how to work the stroller, use color coded stickers to label buttons and levers with instructions on how to close and open the stroller.
• Keep sippy cups upright with an old shoe organizer. Cut out two of the pockets, add velcro, and stick it to side of stroller basket.
• Tape up worn out stroller hands with tennis grip.
• Use an extra-large carabiner to hang your diaper bag, and allow you to shop handsfree. Add in a velcro loop to add multiple smaller clips.
• If hanging bags are making your stroller too heavy, add old ankle weights to the front legs of the stroller to prevent tipping.
• If stroller is hogging most of your trunk space, loop an old belt around both head rests and tighten to secure stroller upright and out of the way.
• Place an over the door hook in your garage to hang your stroller.
• Use dish soap to create a sudsy solution to wash your grimy stroller. Rinse with water, and let it dry outside.
• If canopy isn't long enough to keep sun out of baby's eyes, use a thin breathable blanket and binder clips to create shade that won't blow away.
• Loop zip ties around stroller wheels and cut excess to give your stroller more traction on slippery terrains.
• Secure stroller in a public space with a flexible bike lock.
• Add reflective tape to make your stroller more visible at night.

As a mother of a 4 month old, a 3 year old and a 6 year old, this is very helpful, I love the ankle weights! And I've been doing the cup holders since my oldest was a month old! Love these videos.
kids are so lucky, they get to be in strollers covered with a blanket so it's like a fort, so while they play in their fort, we walk

+brinda kulkarni I think the more prepared you think you are the more thrown you are going to be when you realize you actually knew nothing. There is no such thing as being prepared for a baby, you just have to do it. I know babycenter has a thing where you can plug in your number and it will tell you what to expect it to cost for the first year of baby's life.

I'm from Canada as well. I use quinny 4Xl freestyle and it is great in the snow. But, it is too heavy for me bc I'm tiny. Hubby loves it.

+totally awesome the extra cup holder hack in this video will come in handy. And bring a cover for your stroller because you never know when it's going to rain or drizzle.

I have a baby sister and when my mom is shopping or doing anything really she makes me in charge of the stroller and my baby sis, and so I tried the light one where you put the lights on the stroller and she loves them, thxxxx

I live in the UK and used to work for a well known baby brand. Be careful when hanging bags off those clips on the handle of the pram/stroller, a lot of companies will void the guarantee that comes with it if you do so!!! Also we were always told not to ever cover the pushchair with any sort of blanket, not even a Muslin cloth, even something that thin will cause over heating. You're much better off getting an extended hood which are readily available X
Ps I'm not hating at all, just don't want someone to find out the hard way that these may not be the best tips to be giving people.
if its a thin breathable blanket, they are fine. I have noticed its only in the UK that people seem to have an issue with this, its weird.

Love all of these! Except the blanket as shade which has proven to be very dangerous and doesn't protect the child from getting overheated. But all the other ones are great!

It's quite dangerous to cover the stroller entirely. Studies show that inside temperature can rise by 10-15 C degrees due to the lack of air movement, no matter the material is "breathable". Use a sun shield/umbrella.
At least I'm not the only one with half a brain cell to know this!

Yep. Was going to say this too. Such dangerous advice to give. Babies have died due to overheating due to covering with muslins and blankets.
Parasols or sunshields (that don't cover the whole prams and sides) are the safest option.
Adult-sized strollers do exist, they're called cars.

I think those two kids were in the stroller just for the video.
If you're going to be walking a lot, or a long distance, strollers are helpful even with older kids. I put my 4 year old in a stroller because after the state fair, we walked a mile home and she was exhausted after running around.

Putting a blanket over the stroller can cause heatstroke and dehydration!
Nicole Brooks dehydration is lack of water intake or sweating it all out, using a breathable light weight blanket should be fine and checking on the child intermittently is key, as well as keeping the child hydrated ( that should be a given in wether you have a blanket over or not )

It's funny how people are laughing yet they clearly haven't researched. It causes the temp to rise dramatically (even a breathable one) the baby sweats and becomes dehydrated. Just use a proper UV sun canopy or go in the shade don't risk it. People laughing.. I've tested it with a thermometer. It gets hot! Test yourself?
I live in the UK and if we have bright sun it doesn't actually mean it's that hot normally so I think if it's a really hot day then commen sense would tell you to keep checking your baby anyway but otherwise this is a good tip. Not every country with a bright sunny day is going to be over 20 degrees.
