A legitimate question from me: Doesn't this also increase the risk of bushfires in these regions which might have the opposite effect on releasing all the additional trapped carbon? How does the Government take this into account when determining the decrease from the Baseline? Also, is this purely a Federal Government Scheme? Why don't states also do something similar? thanks in advance

The art of farming is realistically supported and validated in measurement and monitoring by application of science. By equally combining the art and science in landscape management, the resulting benefits are more powerful when melded into a single holistic system. Carbon farming is but just one, with Soil, Plant and Animal Health the primary consideration when taken as measures of Human and Landscape health. If Carbon Farming opens the door to improved health, then let's make it happen.

It's an exercise of futility. Better to get out there and protect the tropical rainforests of Papua , Congo and Brazil. Australia and New Zealand would do well to work on delivering a protected Papua. It would create a globally significant heritage and something positive and tangible to come out of this CO2 paranoia . By the way , we'll know that the climate alarmist crowd are serious when they start to talk about the biggest greenhouse gas...atmospheric water. That's when you realise the whole CO2 thing is a sick joke, a political agenda.
