This original song is by Junoon (Salman on the guitar here, Ali Azmat and Brian O connel). They broke up a long time ago and THIS was supposed to be the reunion performance. Ali Azmat (the original vocalist) is known to be moody to say the least and at the last second, he had a fight with Salman and backed out. Rahat and Ali Noor saved the day by stepping in. They ended up facing a lot of backlash cuz people were unable to accept anyone else singing this song, not realizing that Ali Azmat chose not to be there and made this happen. While this song wasn’t my favorite when it first aired (I also couldn’t get Ali Azmat’s voice out of my head), the more I listen to this, the more I fall in love with it. Rahat and Ali Noor actually were amazing and performed SO WELL. They (along with Salman) took this to a new level. Thanks for the reaction!
When i was giving mid term examz i was listing ur reactions on coke studio song...and solving problems of physics.. Now again i'm solving problems of physics for my terminal examz and listing ur reactions.. It's awesome Keep it up bro
Haha here's a fun fact- a LOT of people actually dislike this song. And while I definitely appreciate the whole instruments jamming session in between the song, I have to say I'm not a big fan either. Thing is, this is a remake of the song Sayonee by Junoon, which is probably one of THE most iconic and loved Pakistani songs of all time. When Ali Azmat, the singer, sang this song, you felt it deep inside. The passion and power that he put in the words when singing made them resonate inside of you. No disrespect to Rahat or Ali Noor intended, they are both amazing, but even they could not put the soul in the song that Ali Azmat did. The original song was an experience. Pure magic. While this remake is merely... good music. Please do listen to the original at least, if you can't react to it. It's not nearly as complex as the remake but beautiful in its simplicity.
There is so much loyalty on your face, I like your smile and way of reaction. Thumbs up bro! Thanks for appreciating our cokestudio but this song is sung by Ali Azmat originally which is far better than this one.
