Mug Cake - Tried and Tested (Egg and Eggless)

    1st cake=
    2tb powdered sugar
    2tb flour
    2tb coco powder
    1/2 ts baking powder
    1/2 ts essence
    1 tb oil
    1tb milk
    1egg
    7-8 mins total, 2 min intervals
    2nd cake=
    Same ingredients as first, but doubled.
    3rd cake=
    4tb powdered sugar
    4tb flour
    3tb coco
    pinch of salt
    1/2 ts baking powder
    1ts essence
    4tb oil
    3tb milk
    Mix, then shake to smooth surface.
    Insert toothpick to check done or not.
    Decorate with chocolate flakes, Nutella, jam, peanut butter, powdered sugar, icecream.

    my goodness I've been trying to make a perfect mug cake for a while but I failed all those time because they all were eggless and now u tried yours one and it came out absolutely perfect. Thank you so much sis for your recipe-

    Oh my god I just made it and it came out the best cake I’ve made in a long time just some changes made though
    1. Instead of oil I used butter
    2. I made a little chocolate syrup and put it on the cake batter so it became more spongy and soft on the inside

    I made the first mug cake in a very, very large mug (probably 2.5 times the size of a regular mug), so I doubled the recipe. When done, it looked like a souffle, because the sides of the cake rose about and inch above the rim of the mug. Also, I microwaved the cake on the REHEAT setting #2, which is dinner plate. I think the slower cooking helps keep the cake moist.

    I tried the first one and added more sugar. My cake was done within 2 minutes I was shocked and it turned out amazing. I felt it a little dry so I added some milk in it and enjoyed.😍😍 Thanks for sharing this recipe

    One advise, in egg cake taste the batter and cheak the sugar level beacause egg absorbs sugar,add more sugar as per ur taste

      That’s great! The microwave I used in this video was pretty old. That’s why it took so much time to rise up. Now, it takes like 2 minutes.

    I tried it it was sooo soft and I tasted it it was so so so so goooood but in my Microsoft it only took 1 and half minute to cook I tried many many types of mug cake but this was the best one ever❤️

    wow...it tasted so good
    i tried making the 1st cake
    and when i tried tasting it raw it tasted very bad because of the egg
    so i thought it was a flop like the other mug recipes i tried but after i microwaved it , it tasted soo good

    I tried the first one but actually didn't come out good, bcz sugar was less and cake was dry and not moist, i think if you add more sugar and oil it'll come out really good ( but perfectly fluffy and good)

    Cool I tested the first one it is not too sweet not little sweet it's perfect girl u litrerlly nailed it and u know it is better if eat it with Nutella as she mentioned

    Khushbu you say you baked it at 200 C....Are you using the convection mode? Microwave ovens usually show full power or less but not in Celcius.
    Let me know asap....am dying to make a cup cake with your recipe.... Thanks

    Guys make sure not to leave your mouth cake so much time the microwave because it really depends on the microwave, mine turned out like a rock but I still ate it because it was pretty good

      Indrani Dutta I have used microwave and the mug which I have used is made of fine bone China. You can use any microwave safe mug.

      you can alternatively use the 'ready to bake' cake mix of different flavor than chocolate.. works the best! :)

    I made the eggless one exactly as you said and it tastes yuck!!
    1. I can smell too much essence
    2. It is bitter cuz of too much cocoa powder i am guessing
    3. It got cooked in 2 mins and not in 7 to 8 mins
    4. Did you even taste it after making it?
    I thought u have tried and tasted and followed but my mistake...

      1. If you have sensitive nose, don’t add too much essence or you can totally skip it.
      2. You must have used dark cocoa or the sugar quantity wasn’t proper.
      3. That’s great. May be the microwave which I used was not that powerful.
      4. I did taste it and I liked the egg one better. I tried to make a veg one too so that it serves the purpose for vegetarian people as well.

      I don’t think so because I know that one of them react to vinegar or really acid stuff and another to water. So if the reaction doesn’t happen then the lifting of the cake won’t happen.
