Oh my god I just made it and it came out the best cake I’ve made in a long time just some changes made though 1. Instead of oil I used butter 2. I made a little chocolate syrup and put it on the cake batter so it became more spongy and soft on the inside
I made the first mug cake in a very, very large mug (probably 2.5 times the size of a regular mug), so I doubled the recipe. When done, it looked like a souffle, because the sides of the cake rose about and inch above the rim of the mug. Also, I microwaved the cake on the REHEAT setting #2, which is dinner plate. I think the slower cooking helps keep the cake moist.
I tried the first one and added more sugar. My cake was done within 2 minutes I was shocked and it turned out amazing. I felt it a little dry so I added some milk in it and enjoyed.😍😍 Thanks for sharing this recipe
I tried it it was sooo soft and I tasted it it was so so so so goooood but in my Microsoft it only took 1 and half minute to cook I tried many many types of mug cake but this was the best one ever❤️

I made the eggless one exactly as you said and it tastes yuck!! 1. I can smell too much essence 2. It is bitter cuz of too much cocoa powder i am guessing 3. It got cooked in 2 mins and not in 7 to 8 mins 4. Did you even taste it after making it? I thought u have tried and tasted and followed but my mistake...
1. If you have sensitive nose, don’t add too much essence or you can totally skip it. 2. You must have used dark cocoa or the sugar quantity wasn’t proper. 3. That’s great. May be the microwave which I used was not that powerful. 4. I did taste it and I liked the egg one better. I tried to make a veg one too so that it serves the purpose for vegetarian people as well. I don’t think so because I know that one of them react to vinegar or really acid stuff and another to water. So if the reaction doesn’t happen then the lifting of the cake won’t happen.
1st cake=
2tb powdered sugar
2tb flour
2tb coco powder
1/2 ts baking powder
1/2 ts essence
1 tb oil
1tb milk
1egg
7-8 mins total, 2 min intervals
2nd cake=
Same ingredients as first, but doubled.
3rd cake=
4tb powdered sugar
4tb flour
3tb coco
pinch of salt
1/2 ts baking powder
1ts essence
4tb oil
3tb milk
Mix, then shake to smooth surface.
Insert toothpick to check done or not.
Decorate with chocolate flakes, Nutella, jam, peanut butter, powdered sugar, icecream.
