Another great video! Thanks for sharing and keep up the good work Alan!
Thanks boss
Great job Alan
Thankyou
When your doing your own silage, sometimes it’s better because you can work with the weather. When a dry spell comes you can start right away and not waiting for a contractor.
Yes Luke that's very true, though I have been caught with the flip side where the contractors would have been quicker and had the grass in before the rain came
Big problem these days is getting drivers gathered up when you need them
FarmFLiX yeah, it’s hard to get full time men
Great videos! watched a lot! Mr. Clyde great videos on the farm but here could do with an upgrade on machinery get yourself a good kverneland taarup 10ft mounted mower conditioner with a good Deere in front 👌🏻
Mr Clyde is frugal in his machinery investments!!! He doesn't suffer shiny metal disease like most :P
Another brillant video alan well done buddy
Cheers lad
Keep up the good videos Alan
Thanks😉
Great video 👌🏻
more good stuff to come James ;)
Sure the merlot tyres have another 7 years in Alan's eyes
Nice crop of grass there looks like nice stuff how many cattle do u keep over the winter Alan? And yeah I feel ya me and my old man have baught alot of second hand machinery over the past years you either buy a gem or a pile of clapped out shite 😂 I'm just about ready to set fire to our new Holland 945 baler it's driving me nuts
Just over 100. Yeah you fed need a bit of luck buying the old stuff🙈
Vicon are a great mower!
Working with the sheep
What gps do you use
Buy cheap ul buy dear if u cut corners ul pay for it in the long run
Alan keep some spare tines replace as soon as the old ones go as conditioner will be unbalanced, 🚜🚜
Sound advice Nigel. Need to get a few gathered up now😉
Yeah Alan needs to be more organised ;)
How much would he be Saving by cuttin his own time etc etc,,,?
It's a tough one Liam. I think a lot of the time we don't count our own time. Depends on how many acres I'm dropping and if any break downs eat up the savings.
That's a much discussed debate. I suppose it all depends on each individuals circumstances and set up
Ya fully understand but to get men also,,and wear and tear and parts as u said,,how much an acre they charge out there,,to do the lot cut pick it etc,,?
@@liamfanny9802 Your right, getting drivers and paying labour is tough. hearing prices £50 to £60. If my machines go done I don't think I'd be rushing out to buy new gear
It’s like 110 euros here in Ireland no matter if u have 5 or 50 which is right,,
Open the door and back window in nh
Had to keep the noise down so ya could hear me😉 was a warm day to be at it🙈
Many mower men have said keeping the window shut has saved them from a stone or blade coming off
Never open back window when cutting. The window could save your life. Open side window so you can hear her running noise
