Very good clip.Rail Guard’s commments were true and measured.They face many difficulties like lack of toilet,adequate lighting in the cabin,many a times they are dirty,and now with the introduction of female guards the problems need a reasonably quick redressal. Otherwise these guards are brave railwaymen who need greater respect and better facilities.Railways are true national builders.I salute all the railway persons.

They should fit solar panels on the top of the compartment so that it get charged during the day time and there should be lights and fans inside the compartment which can be used by the solar energy and also they should add a bathroom with a small water tank for use

When I as a child saw the goods guard bogie I always wondered how they lived there alone ...but now as I see this I am stunned ...this is absolutely pathetic and terrible to say the least ...this is unimaginable and unforgivable ...the railways should immediately consider and respect these ppl as human beings and provide all necessary comforts and security ...

I KNEW FROM SOMEWHERE THAT, THE GOODS GUARD CHAMBER IS MADE WITH IRON, BECAUSE, THE GOODS GUARD SHOULD NOT SLEEP IN THE CHAMBER. BUT IT IS VERY VERY DIFFICULT TO WORK PROPERLY IN SUCH ENVIRONMENT. INDIAN RAILWAY MUST CONSIDER THE SITUATION.
NOW DFC ( DEDICATED FRATE CORRIDOR) WILL BE INTRODUCED SHORTLY. HOPE, IN THAT CASE, THESE PROBLEMS WILL BE SOLVED.

I saw the goods train on my way to office, I was curious about guards life, I appealed to our railway minister to set single solar panel for their light and fan.
It's difficult to install solar paner for railway. There is always a fear that people will stole solar panel for sure 😄

With a post graduate degree, I joined as goods guard in 1986 and served for 12 years before getting promotion to stationary job. Work condition was horrible. Don't know when we will be called for duty and when we will be able to return. The brake vans on that days where mobile cattle sheds. All were four wheelers which will jerk and jump and u will be thrown out if do not hold well and MG brake vans are too small that only a guard and his line box will go in. You have to bear rain and cold wind and heat. No water, no food unless u bring it, no means to communicate with anyone since no mobile or walkie talkie at that time. When train stops at remote stations during night, your brake wan will be far away from station (even in burial grounds) and you may be held up their for hours. Only those with strong minds can survive, otherwise you will get mad.
Yes I m ESM in Railway...... almost 99% job of railways is very hectic so people didn't want to join railway but now a days they join because of unemployment.
My advice to new comers " If you have 4th class job in central government or 3rd class job in state govt then you are better than 2nd class job in Railway...... only good jobs in Railway are in DRM office or Headquarters

Indian Railways had upgraded alot & for passengers comfort so many facilities r there but why not for goods guard who is such an important person in this setup.....Think, what would happen 2 him if a goods train stops in an outsignal nearby the forest at night, the only man he would contact is the loco pilot who is present nearabout 1km away from him....besides no electricity, bathroom, safety equipment's, etc.
It's hard 2 believe why Railways don't take any steps in this regard.....

हमे तो उनके और पायलट के लिए बहुत कष्ट होता है,हम सोचते है अगर मेरे पास ऐसा कोई शक्ति होता की साधारण सुविधा जो उनको नहीं मिलता वह कर देते,मालगाड़ी के स्टाफ को तो और किल्लत,घंटा पर घंटा कोई बिरान जगह पर खरे रहो,ना खाने की व्यवस्था ना शौचालय,वह नह, रंगटा खरा हो जाता,मेरा दिल से सैल्यूट उन वॉरियर को।

गुड्स गार्ड पर्सन को 40 साल से देख रहा हूं। उनका कार्य जीवन नहीं बदला है और गार्ड रूम में सुविधाएं भी नहीं बदली हैं, यह उपयुक्त है कि केंद्र सरकार इस पर तुरंत गौर करे और वर्तमान मानक के अनुसार गुड्स गार्ड रूम को सुसज्जित करे।
सौच के लिए पानी भी नहीं 😂😂😂
इमरजेंसी के लिए खुद का पानी लेकर रखना पड़ता है :) वैसे जरूरत कम पड़ती है लेकिन कभी कभी :)
