Mr. Grad, It was a pleasure following your content this year! Thanks for sharing your journey with us. You inspire me to make my own videos, specially now I will get into college.
A big constraint in learning a lot of math in a small amount of time is that even if you are highly motivated, it will take you a lot of time to solve tough problems (unless you are specially gifted).
Dear Sir, I finished my master degree in math a long time ago. I am old now. I always wanted to work for a Ph.D., but life forced me to take another road . It is kind of a deep hurt in my heart that I had no time to do it. Anyway, I am absolutely sure THAT YOU WILL GET YOUR PH.D.!!!!! Happy New Year!!!!!
Your videos remind me of my time in medical school. It was tough and stressful, but looking back, it was probably some of the best times of my life. Cherish the connections and friends you make during this time.
You are doing what I'm doing with my notebooks, fill out every page, no wasted space. I'm doing calc 3 and Biochemistry so my notes in my notebook is just those two subjects. Though I have filled out 3 books and am currently on my fourth one. I would also number my pages and put a title on what subject it is, and the topic is in that specific subject.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!! 🎉 After exams I turned my brain off so I’m impressed that you’re doing so much work. 😂 Hope you get some rest and good luck in 2025!
It's funny you bring up the concept of motivation. I've been trying to motivate myself to study math with the same intensity that I did in school (undergrad) and I am struggling. I think those exams were what kept me on track. I guess that's what 9 years away does to a man. And also my job isn't on pencil and paper anymore.
If you want a better understanding of brownian motion and stochastic processes I'd recommend "Statistics of Random Processes I. General Theory" by Robert S. Liptser , Albert N. Shiryaev a tough read but it's a great book
hello! thanks for the video. could you give some info on how you're related to the colleges you mentioned in the beginning? i watched your practice vs talent vid where you showed your journey but avoided any names (understandably). thanks! maybe i missed some info since i havent watched all your vids. i aspire to be like you someday!
Thank you for kind comments, I recently attended a conference at Brown University and during my visit, I stayed in Boston one day and toured Harvard and MIT. So there is no real relation other than I bought some dope merch lol
I want invest some time on probability theory do you recommend probability and stochastic by Cinlar? I only have access to this book at this moment. Merry Xmas and Happy New Year!
What was your most favorite subject during your PhD and also did you ever think of studying physics cuz math and physics have a lot of mathematics in them
It changes a lot but if I had to pick one I would say Probability Theory. The instructor was one of if not the best professor I've ever had and the concepts were super interesting. It was all measure theory but it applied it so I finally understood why measures were important.
When it comes to any notebooks, I scribble the first first page like hell. Because if I don't, I'm very gentle with the notebook, which distracts me....like bro, it's not even an engine...

Good sir, i wish you another year of progress in your mathematics journey.
Happy New Year 🎉

i hope you do best man and i hope you start some lectures on topology and differential geometry in this channel
as a high school student, watching these videos is so calming. i love the insight to how a PhD student does things and it really makes me motivated!

I do wonder what's ur opinion on multilinear algebra :0
Multilinear!? I can barely do uni-linear lol
Merry Christmas and happy new year 🎉

Personally, I think whatever you have available is the best option you can ever find. Don’t let perfection rob you of progress
@ not really I really had bad experiences with algebraic number theory and algebraic graph theory 😭😭😭
You go to Wright State, right?
