To be fair, I don’t think lowering the difficulty would’ve helped in this case. One look at the list told me it just affects how many arrows you have (I’m guessing blunderbuss shots too). The ghouls aren’t affected.
lmao I made the remake, the reason the keys show up on the HUD was probably because I forgot to edit that data out of the original status bar I used as a basis. They mean nothing because they aren't placed anywhere on the map. I just wanted the game to have more of a "pristine" feel, which is why the health and armor numbers aren't visible: the original Ghoul 3 didn't have any of those elements despite using the original Doom HUD.
Doom horror wad mfs after playing the same, flying head PNG that chases you through a dark area you can't see anything in for the millionth time in a row:
I can confirm that the scream sound is at the very least 25 years old beause its the exact same sound effect I heard on a screamer being emailed around back then
what gets me every time is how you sit there and choose the most difficult difficulty and then go "WHY AM I DYING SO MUCH" it gives me pure joy. pls keep doing it, i love it so much and i love the content u produce!

5:35 That icon is the head of a boss enemy from Splatterhouse 2, known as the blood puppets. Did not expect to see Splatterhouse of all things in a Doom mod.
Fun fact the ghoul with the bloody face jumpscare looks like an edit of the victim #1 image from a mario creepypasta that people tried to find its origin of for 15 years
Yeah, I didn't know that, since I never beat this WAD. I saw a video of all the deaths, and of course happened to fucking pause on that image of all things.
I mean according to folklore, ghouls are just demonic cannibals who feed on weak people, especially children. Obviously it’s extremely fucked up for a real image to be used in a video game but I mean, at least it’s accurate to mythology and the lore
Random fun fact the yurei's jumpscare image is from the MARIO creepypasta but with a white color. And until recently no one knew where the image was sourced from until it was discovered it was a edit of a image of a punk rocker woman edited to look like a burn victim with no eyes.
The most disturbing thing I found in the woods was on my 7th grade class camping trip. We were at this somewhat religious camp, although none of us were religious. I remember having the urge to explore the forest during my free time. I rallied a few friends and went into the woods behind the cabins. There was a small, cleared out area. Before long I came across something tied to a tree. It was a horse skull with a red pentagram on its forehead. We don’t have horses here. Like, only the domestic ones rich people have because they aren’t native to my province. Myself and my friends all found the skull to be a little creepy so we told some of the councillors about it. Eventually they went into the woods and had the thing removed. I still find it creepy to this day.
@@mandohunter8509 I'm not this guy, but I grew up much the same way, on a farm in the mountains of West Virginia. I have a few standout stories to tell. The first one is of what I simply called Sheep Eater. Whenever one of our sheep would die, usually during the winter or some kind of accident, if we couldn't eat it ourselves we would dump the body in a secluded clearing out in the woods where we had a fire pit. But we never got a chance to burn the bodies. Every single time, they would completely vanish within a day or two. Not a trace to be found. No footprints, no drag marks, so blood trails, nothing. It was just gone. A day or two after the body disappeared, the sheep's bones would mysteriously return to the fire pit overnight. I never saw the Sheep Eater, I don't even know if it's a corporeal creature. But the consistent lack of footprints in fresh snow suggests it might be some kind of spirit, or possibly a giant bird. The second story is less of an actual event and more of a concept ive experienced over the course of my life. I call it Treewarp. The more you interact with a forest, the more strange and unexplainable things tend to happen. I've been trying to make a logbook, but I've been extremely busy lately and I haven't been able to be out in the woods much. Many things affect Treewarp. From what i can tell, certain areas can speed up the Treewarp process. For instance, Appalachia, Southern Canada, and most of the Nothern US has extremely potent Treewarp, but somewhere like Louisiana, Wyoming, or most of the South doesn't. Time of day also seems to have a large effect. At night, Treewarp progresses considerably faster than during the day. Allow me to list every factor that affects Treewarp, that I've discovered so far: •Location •Isolation •Time without Human Contact •Time of Day •Time spent in the Woods •Average proximity to a Forest •Elevation •Proximity to Caves •Proximity to National Parks •Current Season •Temperature •Fear •Local Wildlife •Proximity to Deer •Proximity to Water •Local Native Legends •Relationship with local Crows •Proximity to Swamps As you can see, Treewarp is very complicated and confusing. And that's not even mentioning its actual effects. There are more effects than I can count, and a lot of it is dependent on you and where you live. Here's a list of effects I've personally experienced: •Distant Voices •Strange Music •Distant Screams •Whispering •"Weird Deer" Encounters •My dog becoming distressed •Feeling of Dread •Feeling of Impending Doom •"Hide-behind" Encounters •Distant Crying Dogs •Distant Booms •Strange Crow Behavior •Strange Shadow Behavior •Feeling of Being Watched •Strange Lights •Floating Balls of Light •Vibrating Trees •"Deepcreak" Encounters •Distant Roars •Strange Skeletons •Bonepiles Let me explain a few of the effects: "Weird Deer": Weird Deer are just that, Deer that are Weird. They have strange, sometimes violent behavior. I've had many Deer approach me unprovoked, and while I usually try to avoid them out of caution, especially when its a buck, they tend to follow me around. If they don't approach me, they simply stand at a distance and stare. I've had several Deer follow me home, sitting outside my windows for hours. I don't fear them, but they are especially unnerving. "Deepcreaks": Deepcreaks are a creature I have never seen mentioned by anyone else. They inhabit particularly large trees, living inside the trunk. I am unsure what a Deepcreak actually looks like, but they are easily identified. Putting your ear to the tree, you may hear a deep creaking (get it) sound within, accompanied by gurgling, chattering, and generally slimy goop sounds. Come back to that tree in a few years and you'll find it has seemingly exploded a hole out from within. I assume Deepcreaks to be some kind of larva that inhabits trees. A larva of what, I am unsure, and I am not eager to find out. And finally, a bit of a lightning round. Strange Shadow Behavior refers to Shadows moving whenever they aren't supposed to. Strange Crow Behavior refers to Crows freaking out for no reason. Strange Skeletons just refers to the random appearance of animal Skeletons around where I live. My last story, because I'm getting tired of writing this, is something I actually experienced for the first time yesterday. The music. I've never heard music in the forest before, until yesterday that is. It was extremely faint, coming from no particular direction, so quiet i could barely hear it. It was quiet enough that i wasn't completely sure i wasn't just imagining it. If I had to describe it, it sounded like a doorbell jingle, or like somebody playing an old, out of tune piano through a broken radio, or one of those old christmas toys gurgling out "I Wish You a Merry Christmas" as its batteries die. It was a looping jingle that lasted about 6 seconds. The first 2/3 sounded original, but the last third sounded extremely similar to the "And the flag was still there" part of the US National Anthem. It played on loop for about 4 minutes, before abruptly stopping mid-song. As soon as it stopped, I began getting uncomfortable, and left. I would like to mention while the song was playing, my dog was extremely uncomfortable and was whining. Another thing to mention is that not 10 minutes earlier I had experienced the " Distant Crying Dogs" effect, which also made my dog extremely distressed. I don't expect you to believe me, but that's fine. And yes, I've been checked for mental illnesses, and they've come up blank every time. I know what I know. If you have any questions, please ask them.
@@mandohunter8509 I don't blame you whatsoever for thinking my experiences are unbelievable. But yes, as far as I know, these are real. Growing up, I always loved reading old native legends. Made me feel closer to my heritage. I don't really know how I can prove them to be real, though. I have plenty of sound recordings, but i don't have any suspiciously grainy photos of Bigfoot or something. I've never tried to cut down a Deepcreak tree, although I've considered it. No matter what, I will never seek the source of any disturbing sounds coming I hear in the forest. I'm sure everything I say could be put to me being schizo or just my imagination, but there's just to much for it to be true. And yes, I'm are Treewarp sounds like some kind of contrived video game mechanic, but it's not. I can feel it my blood. Genetic memory, it's called. Prophetic dreams. My ancestors felt the same way I do. Perhaps under a different name or with different effects, but one thing always stays the same. The forest is a truly mystical place. Belive me, or not. I respect either choice. Whatever you choose, stay safe out there.
@@mandohunter8509 Alright I guess my previous reply didn't go through. It was a lot longer than this, and I don't want to write it again so here's the gist. Yes, as far as I know, their real. I have many, many audio recordings, and several pictures, although most of them are not of perfect quality. Mostly of meat piles, Deepcreak holes, weird bones, weird shadows, weird lights, Weird Deer, and anything else i deem strange. It's a lot, but not enough to prove anything. I'm sure a few of the things I see and hear have explanations, but until i get them, I'll continue believing what I do. I know the whole Treewarp thing seems like some contrived video game mechanic, but I promise it's the easiest way to explain my thoughts. I've been living among the forest my entire life, as my ancestors before me did, I know what I know. Its in my blood. I can feel it. Growing up, i read all the ancient native legends I could get my hands on. I felt attached to it. The woods are a part of me. I know them better than i know any person. Believe me or not, I respect your choice. Whatever you do, be safe.
Also, the jumpscare you get from the final boss is a grayscale version of victim #1 from "MARIO" which is a creepypasta about a Super Mario World ROM hack found in SMW Central, where the title just says "MARIO". Booting up the game will tell you that "Mario is at it again", instead of Bowser. The names of the levels in the first world were changed, there are no enemies, coins are unpickable, and lots of message blocks taunt you and speak ill to you, the player. When you reach the castle and defeat Iggy Koopa, then you'll get the victory animation, but the text is replaced with text mentioning someone known as victim #1, with text saying that her eyes were torn out, lying on a carpet, and with fingerprints all over her body, as if it's some sort of autopsy report. When you reach the final level which is after Iggy Koopa's castle, you'll end up in a cave with an invisible pipe in the end causing the game to crash. Earlier the narrator mentioned that as they downloaded the ROM hack, it came with a .txt file, which contains nothing but gibberish, or so as it seems because after playing the ROM hack, they found out that its programming for an image. So the author converted the text into an image, and they got the face of seemingly Victim #1, about 13 years after the ROM hack's release, it was discovered to be some image of a woman grabbing her own face, wearing some punk attire, being a fan of the band it was meant to represent.
The only scary woods story I have was second hand. At my old summer camp, the camp added an expansion to the grounds and essentially created an outdoorsy area meant for overnight camping trips for campers. It had axe throwing, bon fires, hammocks, and tents. The summer I was a counselor, we heard from our director that they were closing off the area this summer, but didn’t explain why. One of my friends was supposed to be assigned to the camping trips that summer in addition to being a counselor, and he told me that when they came to do a check on the area, they found a group of junkies sleeping in the tents, and after clearing them, needles were found around the area. So to avoid any possible injury, they decided the safest option was to close the area off
To add to this video - one of enemy sprites (at 17:25) is named Bleeding Specter, and it is taken directly from Afraid of Monsters: Director's Cut. It is a Half-Life mod, so if you are interested in Half-Life you can check that mod out.
My creepy woods memory from when I was like 6 or 7: As a kid I use to play in the woods a lot, most of the time with my older sister but today was not one of those days. I walked along the dried up stream bed like I normally did, picking flowers and any other interesting looking plant I could get my hands on. You know, basic kids stuff. Expect all of the sudden I just became aware of the things around me, like for the first time I wasnt in my own little world anymore, suddenly it felt like I wasnt alone. I remember slowly looking around, turning in a circle as I tried to get rid of this itching feeling that something was wrong. I had been in these woods all my life yet now it felt like there was something to truly be afraid of, and I couldnt see it. Everywhere I look was just grass and trees, nothing out of place yet the feeling of something being off clawed at my skin all the same. I began to panic, walking the stream bed as fast as I could without tripping as I listened to everything around me. The humming of bugs and the beating of my own heart was all I could hear. I broke into a run as soon as I could see the field on the other side of the trees. I remember looking back at the woods to see if anything had been chasing me, there was nothing to be seen. I walked home quickly that day and didnt go out into the woods alone anymore. That was the first time I ever left the woods without someone telling me to come home, it was the first time that the woods felt unsafe to me.
I guess your instincts got flared up when they realized you weren't with family anymore and all alone in wild space. 🤔 Had something similar happen once, so I just ended up following my friends and waiting for them rather than just waiting in the oddly silencious area.
Having grown up in the countryside central U.S. the woods at night is far from scary or uncomfortable, even with the roaming mountain lions I don't feel worried.
I grew up in a big city. Whenever I go the woods I always find it so refreshing. But once night starts. I stare at the trees. Eventually my imagination takes over and start seeing shapes on the trees. I'm my own enemy hahahaha
@@Midnighthalo I am a man who walks alone And when I'm walking a dark road At night or strolling through the park When the light begins to change I sometimes feel a little strange A little anxious when it's dark
I live near a large park in a city, the park is a small forest, I only ever feel like going out at night but never do because I see police tape where people have been killed there occasionally, it's ok during the day but seeing it more than 3 times puts me off of going in there at night

The first and so far only time I've experienced a true adrenaline rush from having a real fight or flight response was in a forest. I was camping with my family at an official campground location in Sequoia National Park. It happened when I had to get up in the middle of the night to go to go to the bathroom. While I was walking down the trail to where the toilets were, I passed by a bush next to the pathway and something very much alive and big suddenly exploded with movement from inside, making a racket of noise in the otherwise dead silence around me as it pushed through the bush. I was very much aware that there are some really dangerous animals that live in this region. Cougars, bears, hell even deer can be aggressive and dangerous. I can barely remember anything of what happened in the next few moments, it's like my brain had turned off and rebooted into some other mode. One moment I heard the creature moving near me and the next I had crossed the remaining 60 feet to the bathrooms and gotten inside. I felt wired like some crackhead in that moment. I couldn't stop pacing around the bathroom, my hands were shaking uncontrollably and it was a good while before I came down from that state. I remember when I finally braved going back outside and returning to our campsite, I was just sitting in my tent, wide awake and unable to stop myself from paying attention to every little sound in the forest around me. I have no idea for sure what kind of animal it was that I encountered, I never actually saw it, but looking back on it, I'm pretty sure it was a deer that had been sleeping in that bush. The day before, we had seen many deer during the day as a large number of them were apparently making their way through the area at the time.
Walked home from a party once, took the woods because the way was shorter. My mobile flashlight died and I had to orient myself by the sounds of the small creek, since it leads almost directly to the next lit road. Could have sworn I heard whispers of my name in various voices all the way, but to stay sane I told myself it's the alcohol and misinterpretation of the sounds of running water from the creek.
my most disturbing story happened when i was ten im currently twenty eight and its still so fresh in my mind it might have happened yesterday. it was summer vacation visiting grandma and grandpa on my moms side. They had a house in the blue ridge mountains to be more specific mount airy which to put in perspective i live in north Carolina and blue ridge a larger province in Appalachian first night i got up to get a glass of water in the kitchen. and sat on the porch stairs and heard my older sisters voice saying "hey Maggie come in the woods i want to show you something" when i knew for a fact she was asleep still in the room we shared upstairs and the house had no ac my ten year old self ran back inside turned the porch light off locked the doors and went back to sleep. My advice if you visit north Carolina and your friends say lets camp somewhere in Appalachia get new friends never go outside at night like i did
@user-ek2xg3ps5s hey I'm white but even as a child I wasn't stupid I was the horror child in the family and had common sense if I heard something I wasn't dumb about it
That’s basically what the original was, my remake was more or less just a tribute or enhanced version of it to bring it up to modern standards, along with some more variety and ways to approach new playthroughs.

I remember once how my aunt was telling me about the time she and her husband drove to a forest for a walk with their dogs. They parked their car in front of the entrance and went inside. They were walking along the path and everything seemed fine, when suddenly they felt that something was wrong. The trees seemed more dead, older. The sunlight got covered by the thick leaves, and their dogs hid their tails and walked very close next to them. They weren't sure if this was normal but they felt and evil presence in that forest, like something is waiting for them the further they went in. They decided to leave the forest and go back home. Sadly they can't remember which forest it was but it was somewhere in Poland in Silesian Voivodeship.
Probably one segment of the Lower Silesian Forest , in Polish it's 'Bory Dolnośląskie' an extremely large forest next to the Polish /German border spanning the Lubusz/Silesian voivodship .There were a few large labour camps for European prisoners located in these forests plus lots of trails of dead discarded prisoners that died on death marches towards their camp destinations . Horrible .
@@meatcore at this point his video titles are just from a serie which the first mods he talked about were indeed pretty controversial, now every single video he makes with this title is just a edgy horror mod or a cool one, i don't mind it, but yeah it would be more nice if he didn't put "CONTROVERSIAL AND ILEGAL" in some videos.
18:50 Hearing Midnight say: "Watashi wa GŪRU o koroshita" ("I killed the GHOULS") made me crack up so bad! Bro you have a natural talent for language, please consider doing voiceover/voice artist work! Also great video as always, love this channel~
One time I saw a woman having a nude photoshoot out in the woods, I tried to make it clear that I was approaching but she was very into a certain spicy act and neither her or the photographer noticed me til I was a few metres away. She covered up with her arms and looked so angry at me and I just awkwardly passed by in silence. I spose that's what they get doing such a thing on the main trail.
To be fair, not using a main trail while vulnerable sounds like a bad idea, sure using elsewhere or uncharted would net you less human nuisance during film, but would also bring far more risks of falling prey to hazardous terrain or encountering animals on their turf which would be death if you're naked and unarmed doing a photoshoot. So I kinda get It. Especially if you need help, if you're not on main trail being found is much harder in times of need.
You asked if we ever had a creepy experince in the woods. So the one i can most easily recall was when i used to live out in the middle of the woods. It was like the middle of winter and being in the middle of nowhere made it so that it was so insanely quiet it felt unnatural. And at this i used to smoke i had gone out to sit at a picnic table we had where i lived. And right across the river from where i was sitting was the woods id been living just outside of for the past couple years. And as i smoked i was just chilling literally as it was cold as hell as the snow came down around me. My brain started to focus on the snowflakes so much I tried to just listen for any kind of sound when it hit my jacket as it was really messing with me. Mid way through my cig I just felt somethings eyes on me something that just made my blood run cold. I didnt know exsactly what it was and for what felt like an eternity i stared at the ground trying to build up my courage to look at the woods. When i finally did i was so sketched out i didnt wanna fully look at whatever was standing there as i was terrified thinking whatever it was would charge me if i looked at it. When i looked over i saw something standing there facing right towards me because of how dark it was i couldnt tell directly what it was that was standing there but i could tell it was defintely something. I kept my eyes towards it as i slowly backed away from the woods still too scared to fully raise my eyes to look at it better. I get halfway back to my house and I hear a branch snap directly where i was staring and see a slight bit of movement before i turn around threw the rest of my cig into the snow and ran back inside my house slamming the door behind me and locking it. No idea what it was out there in the woods that night but I know something was there in the woods. The rest of the time i stayed there i would never go anywhere near those woods at night especially if i was alone. It could very well have been nothing but in the situation it fucked with me hardcore. The combination of the dead silence, the oppressing feelings of winter and plenty of other factors coiuld have been what skeetched me out so bad. But yeah thats the scariest moment I've ever had that dealt with woods in my life.

Dunno if anyone pointed this out, but the "final ghoul" picture that pops up (the white one with the totally black eyes) looks like an edit from the picture from the creepypasta called "MARIO", that funnily enough recently got it's origin found out as an edited pic of the singer of the band, Dir En Grey
My grandparents live on a farm in rural Illinois, and most of it is covered in woods. My grandmother had plenty of stories about instances when she felt extreme inclinations to not go into the wooded parts of the property on certain nights, and my grandfather always listened to her.
The creepiest thing that ever happened to me in a forest was that exactly 24 hrs prior to the mass shooting in maine in 2023 I went to a forest near one of the locations. As i got deeper in the sun had almost fully set and in the deep woods I heard a large number of gunshots. More than I usually would hear because there was a shooting range. The amount of gunshots had been a few dozen. It freaked me out, i thought someone was trying to kill me. 24 hours later...
I like to think that the lore accurate Hunter is a total badass who wasn't even scared by the Ghouls wich he killed easily or with little to no problems, making him some kind of ancient medieval Doom Slayer who make the horrors beyond comprehension of that time fear him.
Fun fact the thing that you see at 5:36 that is next to the options of the game is the head of a boss from the Sega Genesis game Splatterhouse 2 called the Blood Puppet. Plus, Midnight, there's a cool mod for Doom that turns it I to a 3D Splatterhouse Remake called Splatterhouse 3D. I was wondering if you have any interest checking it out?
I dont even like being in the woods at night in Minecraft. If I ever get caught in the woods at night with no bed I immediately dig a spider hole and stay there until the sun comes up.
One time when I was in the woods I heard some rustling (Note that I was alone at the time). After that I saw a shadow behind a tree. I got so scared I ran away.
I was hiking alone in the woods in late 2015 up in Montana. I was there for several hours- like 10 hours -but at this point it was about 12:00 in the morning. I turned my flashlight off for a second and when I turned it back on, I heard human footsteps in the leaves and sticks in front of me. Literally 2 seconds later, my flashlight turns off completely on its own and back on again shortly after. When it did, a shadow figure (about 6'3"-6'5" and male) ran through the trees a few feet in front of me and disappeared behind one of them. I had never been so scared in my life.
I do remember a few times of walking in the woods or a path surrounded by trees, I've sometimes felt something watching me, a crack, a snap, alerting me making me think of something unknow, thinking somethings there, a man, or wolfs starring at me, a creature unknown to man. The woods are beautiful in day, but at night, well, take a look for yourself, go have fun, alone, where its dark, hear every step, every rock, every sound, every water droplet, the crunch of the snow, the sounds from your mind, hear your fears. The unknow will always prevail.
Riding with a horse on a pine forest in argentina i found a place with something like a satanic ritual.. lots of blood and heads from animals attachted to the trees.. dogs chickens and goats. The horse started making strange noises.. we run like hell from that place. I remember feeling horror inside me while running watching behind.
Once, I was in the woods with one of my friends late at night, randonaughting. We were on this path and somewhere past the light of our flashlights, it sounded like 2 animals had attacked each other. That was pretty spooky to me.

Growing up in the middle of the woods you learn what dark is. You aint never seen a full moon until you've seen them far away from the light pollution of the city. Everything is bathed in pale light and everything is otherworldly. On that same note when it is dark brother it is *dark*. You'd have to rely on memory to navigate around. On a lighter note black bears would just wander my front yard and scarf down crab apples, fun to watch from the front porch. Oh, i also grew up next to a graveyard, might be relevant.

This was in a small thick wooded park by my friend's house in Alaska back when I was a kid. A Few friends and I were in a tall grass field playing Skyrim with stick swords and everything. I was filming us play until I turned around and immediately saw this old lanky man with a long beard and torn shirt just a few feet away staring at us. I remember trying to talk to the guy but I don't know what we said to eachother before my other friends noticed him and told me to dip. We still played in that area just much more cautiously.
Me and my cousin were in the woods on a side-by-side about 2 years ago and he randomly stoped and shut it off. He proceeded to pull out an Aztec death whistle and blew it a few times. After about 10-15 seconds of waiting we heard the sound of something running up behind us getting closer. Needles to say he started the bike up and hit the gas so fast that we were flying through the woods at about 50-60mph in seconds
creepy woods story time? lets goooo i used to live in the country and we had a really thick shelter belt around the property ( shelter belts r basically a ring of forest u leave around a property in flat areas and helps protect ur house/gardens/animals from like. high winds typical in those types of places) and someone pulled a dried up dead deer into a tree that was there and secured it with rope in the canopy. a few days later it was gone again but it creeped us the fuck out

Respect to midnight for actually going into a forest and touching grass for this video
Shut up
I grew up in the middle of nowhere, surrounded my miles and miles of forest. Creepy stuff happens more often than you'd think.
Got any creepy stories?
Allow me to list every factor that affects Treewarp, that I've discovered so far:
•Location
•Isolation
•Time without Human Contact
•Time of Day
•Time spent in the Woods
•Average proximity to a Forest
•Elevation
•Proximity to Caves
•Proximity to National Parks
•Current Season
•Temperature
•Fear
•Local Wildlife
•Proximity to Deer
•Proximity to Water
•Local Native Legends
•Relationship with local Crows
•Proximity to Swamps
As you can see, Treewarp is very complicated and confusing. And that's not even mentioning its actual effects. There are more effects than I can count, and a lot of it is dependent on you and where you live. Here's a list of effects I've personally experienced:
•Distant Voices
•Strange Music
•Distant Screams
•Whispering
•"Weird Deer" Encounters
•My dog becoming distressed
•Feeling of Dread
•Feeling of Impending Doom
•"Hide-behind" Encounters
•Distant Crying Dogs
•Distant Booms
•Strange Crow Behavior
•Strange Shadow Behavior
•Feeling of Being Watched
•Strange Lights
•Floating Balls of Light
•Vibrating Trees
•"Deepcreak" Encounters
•Distant Roars
•Strange Skeletons
•Bonepiles
Let me explain a few of the effects:
"Weird Deer": Weird Deer are just that, Deer that are Weird.
@@JonathanNormandy are you sure these are real? No offense to you but these seem kind of unbelievable

My creepy woods memory from when I was like 6 or 7:
As a kid I use to play in the woods a lot, most of the time with my older sister but today was not one of those days.
Had something similar happen once, so I just ended up following my friends and waiting for them rather than just waiting in the oddly silencious area.
Having grown up in the countryside central U.S. the woods at night is far from scary or uncomfortable, even with the roaming mountain lions I don't feel worried.

After learning Morse Code, I can't sleep on rainy nights: I keep hearing the rain banging out my name!

It was the infamous Skinny Guy :( :( :(
That feeling was nature's way of saying, "You're in my world now, not your world."
But yeah thats the scariest moment I've ever had that dealt with woods in my life.
bigfoot?
wow, what a terrifying experience
@@vegas-crew Nah it was tinyfoot.
Every time, I eagerly await these wonderful videos about Doom WADs. Thank you so much for your content. They intrigue and relax me at the same time; I watch them before falling asleep.
Seriously, no one cares about your opinion.
I actually used to listen to some Dir En Gray back in high school! Neat factoid there.
I'm eternally grateful you subject yourself to these mods. Thank you Midnight!
No one cares about your fkn edit.
Nobody cares
@@brendenwatts3565 you cared enough to comment about it
@TheJoJoFan9k
Exactly. I love you bro!
ill have to look into both of these mods at some point, sounds cool
I had never been so scared in my life.
hey midnight, yoy should do a ranking video of all the creepy WADs youve played, to find the truely most disturbing DOOM WAD
Damn. Did you report this to someone? And wich province did you find this?
seguro que fue una broma muy elaborada de parte de alguien con mucho tiempo libre, eso o capaz que fue una de esas cosas que hacen los macumberos
You know when midnight says "lets dive straight back into hell" you know shits bouta get good
you gotta cover Uac military base if you want to lose your head, it's only working on skulltag btw.
I’d often find deer skulls (No bodies) around my childhood home which was in the woods. My home was already said to be haunted, so it was freaky.
I can't get over how the laughing? Or the noise that thing makes sounds like Mutahar, it makes me laugh every time
Once, I was in the woods with one of my friends late at night, randonaughting. We were on this path and somewhere past the light of our flashlights, it sounded like 2 animals had attacked each other. That was pretty spooky to me.
At this point I think we’re reusing dooms most controversial mod title just like how it’s been Disney’s 100th anniversary for like 6 years
the Dross piano key is iconic, you got me at "AYYY la verGA"
Everyone gets tired of murderous disembodied spirit-halloween masks that scream.
Oh hey that's me! Thanks for the shout-out haha
I have very fond/not-so-fond memories of the original .wad many moons ago (I was also one of those kids)
6:25 is that the mutahar laugh?
Can't unheard it now 💀💀💀
2:57 You got a like and a sub. I thought I was already. It's just one of those things I think I do and just never have. I've been watching for the better part of my free time, and I get why these are scary. I do get jumped by Doom quite often. It took some time, but with my recent alone time with the classic Doom trilogy, it has given me perspective.
You should play CountryCide next. One of the most terrifying mods I have ever played.
This WAD plus some Van Halen... fantastic.
...
Oh, wait... I've got the movie *_Twister_* on the brain. RIP Bill Paxton, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Eddie Van Halen...
Ah yes, humans being
The best van Hagar song
I wished they made a full album with that sound
They had potential to make basically fair warning 2.0 had they stuck with that darker heavier sound and tone, instead of the crap that was Van Halen III
@@goldylover1000Fair Warning is a masterpiece
@@guaceldono7231 mean street, hear about later, unchained, push comes to shove and so, this is love?
Are, some of the greatest hard rock songs of all time.
Congrats!! Beating tihs looked hellish, and I'm really impressed you did it
Oh, thats a picture of an aborted baby in the doom WAD I downloaded and never finished.
I live in the middle of the woods, it is a populated area but still very isolated. One time (when I was still in my senior year of high school), I went to the end of my driveway where the bus picks me up only to be gifted paranoia. My neighbor who is in middle school, said he saw someone, waiting at my front door before hightailing it around the house.
Honestly, seeing all the people taking the piss with Midnight’s titles when reviewing doom horror mods using “MOST DISTURBING, ILLEGAL, CONTROVERSIAL, ETC” is very funny but I don’t blame him. UA-cam’s algorithm is ass which means UA-camrs have to do the most clickbaity thumbnails to get their pay.
You don't have to outrun the unknown, you only have to outrun the person next to you.
The homie at 12:32 looks just like the zombie judge from Paranorman lol
your one of my favorate youtubers to watch at 3:00 AM :)
Idk why people say this is not illegal, the thumbnail is talking about the og version he didnt play.
I know it kind of defeats the purpose, but I'd like to explore the map while it's lit up. Mostly just to appreciate the work that went into making it
This was in a small thick wooded park by my friend's house in Alaska back when I was a kid.
Ah yes. The local crackheads. That’s why I stay on the mountains instead of the forests.
I hate how short this supposed "damn good" hunter draws his bow.
Reminds me of Fear of the Dark: 0:04
I couldn't even imagine that "Ghouls Forest 3D" that I saw ~ten years ago was a remake of the Doom WAD from 2005
Christmas gift idea:
A thesaurus
Me and my cousin were in the woods on a side-by-side about 2 years ago and he randomly stoped and shut it off. He proceeded to pull out an Aztec death whistle and blew it a few times. After about 10-15 seconds of waiting we heard the sound of something running up behind us getting closer. Needles to say he started the bike up and hit the gas so fast that we were flying through the woods at about 50-60mph in seconds
I wasn’t planning on sleeping tonight anyway
creepy woods story time? lets goooo i used to live in the country and we had a really thick shelter belt around the property ( shelter belts r basically a ring of forest u leave around a property in flat areas and helps protect ur house/gardens/animals from like. high winds typical in those types of places) and someone pulled a dried up dead deer into a tree that was there and secured it with rope in the canopy. a few days later it was gone again but it creeped us the fuck out
midnight, if you like this comment I'll actually finish my doom eternal addon for minecraft.
Do it.
Do it.
Do it.
Do it.
Do it.
Back when I could only game on a Windows XP potato in 2008, I spent that entire summer playing Doom Wads and one of the strongest memories from that summer was the multiplayer version of The Ghoul's Forest in Skulltag, such an amazing (and loud) mod.
Raycons do fall out of your ears. I have a pair.
the forests in my area are way too thick to casually walk through, so you're not in much danger of somebody sneaking up on you
When are we getting the "least disturbing doom mod"
Bro, you should make another series going through ridiculous/funny or unbeatable doom maps. Maps that are like crazy
