Presentazione The House on the Hill

This song was inspired by a ruined villa on the hill behind my house. I imagined a woman looking out of a window of the villa on a gray rainy day, remembering an unequal love she can't still accept ("My hope still lingers on / unwilling to give up the fight"), even if this feeling has dried up her soul (“Unequal love dried up my soul like the desert sand, Yet I still hold your thorny rose like a relic in my hand”).
I wrote the arpeggio of the first part of the song immediately thinking of a guitar arpeggio. In the song there is a change of tempo and a crescendo of musical instruments: it starts with just voice and guitar, then when the tempo changes, the whole band enters.
