Today we visited Bad Ems. it's an hour pleasant drive from Wiesbaden through the picturesque highway 260. if you don't want to take the Autobahn. You will find Bad Ems in the heart of the Nassau Nature Park, nestled between the romantic Middle Rhine and the charming Lahn Valley. You can enjoy nature and culture in a variety of ways, take care of body and soul and spend a free, carefree time.
On 24 July, 2021 UNESCO decided to recognize Bad Ems as part of the "Great Spa Towns of Europe" World Heritage Site. The spa town on the Lahn has thus received the highest international distinction. The recognition as a World Heritage Site was given as part of the "Great Spa Towns of Europe". This is because Bad Ems received this distinction together with ten other of Europe's most important spas, including, for example, Karlsbad (Czech Republic), Vichy (France), Spa (Belgium) or Bath (England). Here you can experience at every turn how people once spent their spa days and holidays in Europe.
The thermal springs are close together and the spa landscape, with therapeutic hiking trails and high rocky vantage points, is directly adjacent to the spa district. You will find Bad Ems in the heart of the Nassau Nature Park, nestled between the romantic Middle Rhine and the charming Lahn Valley.

A princess of the Nassau-Orange dynasty had her private small bath-palace built between 1711 and 1720 in the place where in the Middle Ages the medical springs had already been used. The original spring of the “Kesselbrunen” was to be the centre of the small palace with its two wings. Today Häcker’s Grand Hotel and the Maharishi Ayurveda health centre are in the spa house.
Thermal Hotel is A 4-star hotel is being built directly on the Lahn in Bad Ems next to the Emser Therme. The Emser Thermen Hotel offers a wonderful panoramic view of the river and the idyllic Lahn valley from all rooms. You can reach the Emser Therme through a bathrobe corridor. Thanks for your comment. I might had found the information online, either Google or Wikipedia. That was my first time there, I had no idea. You are right, now that I look it up again, Nassau is a close by city.
