- Today Anthem of the Seas docks at our second port, Flam Norway! We rent a Twizy car, explore the town, check out the Stegastein viewpoint, then get back on board for a ride on the North Star. In this Norwegian Fjords cruise we will be visiting Flam, Stavanger, Olden, and Bergen Norway!

Do you two have jobs? Yes! We both have full time careers. Brian is a Software Engineer and Kerry is a Graphic Designer.
Is this vlog a paid promotion with the cruise line? No, we have never worked with a cruise line before (I doubt they even know who we are 😂). If that ever changes, we will be sure to let you know in the video.
What are those black pouches around your neck? We use the lanyards to carry some camera equipment, but many cruisers like to wear lanyards to hold their room key card.
What camera do you use? We typically use the DJI Pocket II, however, when we are in the water we use the Go Pro Hero 9, and in Alaska we occasionally used the Nikon P1000 for wildlife shots. What is a GUSS? GUSS is our name for a Towel Animal! It is a childhood memory for Brian that has lived on for years. You can see the home video moment where GUSS was born in Adventure of the Seas Day 6 (We Made the News) and Allure of the Seas Day 3 (Sea Day).
Is that one thing you said serious? Almost certainly not. If you’re new to the channel, we have really dry, sarcastic senses of humor. So if you’re questioning if it’s sarcasm - it probably is.
How do I ask a dinner time question? Leave a comment on any video and let us know it’s supposed to be answered at dinner time. We’re always looking for new questions (even if the next cruise we can answer it on is a long long way out).
Is it really pronounced CoCo “Key”? Royal Caribbean has said itself that it is pronounced “Key” in a FAQ of their own here: creative.rccl..... To each their own on this pronunciation!
When and how did you meet? We met in February of 2020 via a dating app. We answer this question in more detail in our Independence of the Seas Day 2 (Swimming with Pigs) video.

If you are in Flåm and it is sunny. You MUST take the Flåm railroad up and then the Zipline/bike journey back down!
And remember that in 2019 80% of new car sales in Norway was fully electric. And that is teslas and regular size cars.

The big pack of Kvikk Lunsj in english Quick Lunch is the official Norwegian hiking chocolate. Everybody brings them on hikes in the mountains. It is chocolate with vanilla waffle wafers inside. Like KitKat.

I want to go to Norway now! My grandma was Norwegian and had Vaffler and cinnamon buns at all times. The secret ingredient is cardamom!
Flåm was out favourite stop on this cruise. The scenery was awesome. You are correct about the weather. We did the fjords in May and it was rain and low cloud most of the time, hence coming back and doing this one when we got real lucky with the weather. Great vlog, and reminds me of the great time. Will definitely look at those cars next time.

The Norway is absolutely breathtaking! I had the best time on Anthem of the Seas on exactly the same cruise to Norway from Southampton two months ago! I had a lovely swim In the fjord near the kayak station ( Flam). It was June but the water was freezing, way too cold even for me.🥶 I am experienced coldwater swimmer, I swim all year round in UK. 🥰 🇳🇴

I just want to say I love your videos. My 6 year old and I went on our very 1st cruise in October 2022 on explorer of the seas. We fell in love with royal Caribbean. I saw you videos and recently started watching with my 6year old. On EVERY video he loves when kerry waives at the camera and waives rights back at you. Your videos are awesome thank you

Oh this looks so cool. Norway/Iceland is definitely on our cruising to do list at some point. We have our first Royal cruises booked for 2023 (Greek Isles and Transatlantic) but for sure we will have to do a Scandinavian cruise at some point after that. Love the idea of the mini self-drive EVs.

Hello, I just discovered your channel like a week ago and binge watching your episodes. I never thought of cruising for travelling but you guys are making me change my mind. I am currently watching your cruise to Norway and I don't know yet if you saw Puffins. I usually do some wildlife photography and they are kind of hard to find. They are like 9 months per year in the sea and they only come on land for like may to july for reproduction mostly on small islands with big cliffs. Hope you guys see them one day. They are so cute.

This port looks terrific reminds me of our Alaska glacier cruise and comparing ports Hanes Alaska was great on that cruise. My significant other has yet to see this video I'm picking her up at the airport today she was on the Rocky Mountaineer train trip Banff to Vancouver. The Twizy reminds me of the 2006 smart car I bought back in 2006. Defiantly will watch this again once we both could enjoy together. And yes I can watch your content again love it.

Actually Urge was test launched in Norway in 1996. It later was launched in the rest of Europe and eventually the US where it was called Surge and got more green coloring.

It's more like Flawm than anything. As a Norwegian, that's a pronounciation that everyone would understand. The exact pronouncation varies with where you're from.

Haha this is a good question! On a sea day, we only do it once, but in these Norway ports we did it a couple times each day because we found better places

We’ve been debating this! I think Alaska had better wildlife to see, but Norway felt more grand and foreign to us.

Flam is also my favourite. I don’t want to be that guy but that was a wasp, not a bee in your Urge drink. Also you were travelling kilometres per hour, not miles per hour, therefore, not going as fast as you thought

Loved the drone footage. What did you have to do to get permission to get drone footage? I once was on the Disney Fantasy and they didn't allow drones. It would be nice to have the freedom to bring a drone on my cruise journeys.
Royal and Celebrity are the last 2 cruise lines to allow drones onboard, so you don’t need permission from them. You just need to follow the local laws in whatever port you’re in

Loved this port. The views were fantastic, but the little car looked very dangerous and uncomfortable. Where did you buy your knit hat? I think you’re made for each other and if you broke up you’d regret it forever.
After our parents saw this video they were very disappointed that we did something so dangerous haha! But it was just so beautiful and fun to do.
