Literally every Harley owner can vividly remember the day they either rode a bike home from the dealership or accepted home delivery of their bike! I realize this was posted in 2017 and it´s now 2021, but I hope you are still enjoying your sweet ride!
I like reminiscing back in 1972 I bought my first Harley sportster which was a new 1000. I bought it in Bay City Michigan but I lived 18 miles away in Midland Michigan and it was early spring about 57° I had a 18 Mile ride and froze my ass off driving home as I wore a light jacket. I get a kick out of watching this guy as I can remember the excitement, I am almost 74 years old now so hope you have as much fun as I did
Congratulations on joining Team H-D! That said, if I were the delivery guy, I'd have refused to start it up. I would've insisted you do it. It's your bike, it's your honor.
Could be part of the delivery. Bike fucks up or you drop it on the road it could fall back on them. Delivery driver puts it in your garage or driveway, hands you the keys and their jobs done. Maybe starting also shows it was working fine when we dropped it off
I think they do it to make sure the bike is in top condition when delivered imagine the guy just drops it off there and leaves and when the owner fires it up it doesn't the company won't take the blame nor will the delivery guy
Great bro!!! I remember my first HD, 1st pipes, up grades, pain job and on....i rode it even to the grocery store 1 block.from my house, around the block before going to sleep, staring at it in the garage, it was a dream 😂.
Been riding sports bike most my life, my last being a Busa….. BUT Decided to buy a Harley! It arrived at my home the same way. OMG I was grinning all day! Rode it and then understood why people love these bikes so much…. There is nothing refined about it, raw noise, clunky box, humour for brakes, and debatable handling, but I absolutely love it, more than any other bike I’ve ridden. Any excuse then I’m out riding it! I call it my “Time Machine” as it transports me from my 66 yrs to 30 at the press of the starter… Thank you Harley Davidson.
Honestly this video brought a smile to my face. It reminded me when I got my first Harley, an 2012 iron 883. Eventually I traded it in for a softail. I still think about my sporty.
There is nothing as sweet as the first time you hear your 1st Harley! Or...in my case, my 9th Harley! Your 48 is sweet and sounds amazing! Dreams fulfilled, congrats!
Who cares, neighbors suck anyway and they should mind their own business! The contractors and builders are the ones to blame for building homes so close together! 😂🤣😂🤣😂
I came across your video while researching a 2020 Harley Roadster. Saw the Winnipeg on the delivery truck. I grew up in the Peg. Great looking bike. Wake up them neighbors!!! :)
Never rode a 48, but they do look good. My only gripe is the tiny tank. Not going to make many friends in group rides, when everyone has to stop for you to fuel up twice as often as them. But for solo excursions, I could see them being pretty badass.
@@Hero_of_Legend l have to stop with my wife roughly every 70 miles, 85 max. But the 48 is one hell of a damn good handling bike, l didn't believe the Harley shops. Several told me it was one of the best handling bikes, but l used to ride sport bikes and hate Harleys lol. I ate my words, it is sharp handling almost to the point it's scary how fast it reacts to your input.
@@GixxerFoo Hey, if you like sport bikes, look into the new Harley-Davidson Bronx. Yeah. They make a crotch rocket now. As for the 48, as I said, I've always heard good things. I would just have to put on an aftermarket tank, for better capacity. That's all.
@@Hero_of_Legend I'm curious to see how that new Bronx performs, Harley said horsepower is going to be north of 115 but nothing official yet. I wish my wife would get a bigger tank lol, most 48's I see have the 3.5 gallon off an Iron. I love my 4.5 on 1200 custom, l get about 150 miles out of it.
@@GixxerFoo Exactly. I don't know why they bothered having a 2.1 as a stock feature, instead of the 3.3. I understand them not going with the 4.5, since they want it to look old-school. But the 3.3 would have done just fine. And I used to love my Sportie, when I had one, but I'm a lot happier with my Softail Deuce. 5 gallon ( technically 4.9 ) tank, with fuel gauge, and the famous Softail suspension. Can't be beat, my friend. But I never had a problem with a Sportster, either. Anyway, happy riding out there. Stay safe!
