Great review Brett. I’d request you and your Dealership have a concerted conversation with your JD representatives to put a bug in their ear about a refreshed Three Series Tractor. Like to see included: 50 horse four cylinder engine, MSL loader option, three SCVs upfront, two in the rear, LED lighting, standardized rear lighting, Power Reverser transmission, Snail throttle, SCV control lever stack to the right, r14 Tire option, air seat, additional leg room (longer frame). That should do it!
The 5M is a really nice machine, lots good features added recently, but what happened to the 5R ? The 5R still had a lot of special features not found on the new 5M, why was the 5R dropped last year? Is the 5R going to return new and improved sometime soon?
I think they had some major electrical issues and some other reasons to drop it, but I heard some rumors that they will come out with a new 5R in 2024.
@@jddriver9565 So far fingers crossed, not had any issues with either of my 5Rs. I do hope they bring it back; I was thinking down the road, that I would not want to have to trade down to the 5M, there is a hand full of features that I really do like, and those features only exist on the 5Rs.
JDFleetguy....hey cc1999 how are you?:D they will bring it back for sure....this 5M looks very similar to the current 6M´s in terms of operations (Those green buttons on the dash are the same on the 6M´s,so the menu on both series are the same) there will be a new 5R....the question is how long do we have to wait....

Brent… how pre-tell would anyone get access to the battery with a front end loader in place, if the battery is completely dead? The 5E series places the battery in its own lock box mid-tier just under the tractor frame. Easy accessible in any battery condition. Please advise the brain dead engineers at JD that the battery should be located at the side of the tractor, and not under the hood.

All I can do is dream. Have a 2014 5075E non cab and it's been a good tractor but could never afford something like this.

$100K plus tractor before loader added. M-Series trim stands for MONEY. And you better have a lot of it if you contemplating a JD Utility Tractor.
100k isn’t a lot of money for a tractor. You would say money if you buy 6R and 7R tractors. I would love to be paying 100,000 vs over the $300,000
