These are fly-on-the-wall films in the truest sense, and allow the audience to gain a unique perspective not just on the artworks and objects, but on the lives of the people who make them. 00:00:00 Ethiopia 00:28:46 Senegal 00:57:31 Kenya
Thank you for a fascinating look at the talent of those cultures! I love how the community came together to build the weaved bamboo house! Jane is surely preserving the beading tradition of the Maasai women. Those items are beautiful. I loved that she worked outside! I just love your documentaries! More like these please! From a fan in Canada 🇨🇦
they dont live a sedentary lifestyle. If you had to walk to drink eat and work every day for every cup of water every grain of rice or wheat every fruit you would too get old still having strength in your bones. Industrialization brought us some good things but it is fundamentally terrible for our bodies which did not evolve in surplus and sedentary life.
The KORA is originated from The Gambia from a place in the town of BRUFUT called SALLIMENTERING. So you as the Reporter can get your facts from there so as to get the History of how THE KORA was originated. Thanks
i've got quite a mixed feeling about 'ancient' beadind tradition with chineese accessories. it's like a painting in photoshop. yes, it is a painting, but it is not the same as an actual oil painting for example

It's cool in the first part to see the community taking care of the widow.

Amazing!

You eat junk food, we eat organic food with no chemicals that's why you will never find overweight people among us like in the US
Genius - terrific skills. We really need to learn how to build like this in our villages too.

They could have left the scaffold and built a sleeping loft for the humans and the animals and cooking beneath. Beautiful home.
1:18 they just told that kid to lift that shirt to look more poor and hungry. You can just see him taking instructions from the guys behind the scenes
What is the name of the first song? It is so soothing.

.
😂
Jane and her companion are not Maasai. Their beadwork is bastardized because they don't know what it is supposed to look like. Shame!
Her name is Siamanto, didn't you hear? That's a maasai name
