Elise hi! I have some experience as I have been dancing for a few years but not since I was 2 or anything. I have only been training properly for 2 years and I picked up the choreography quickly and was able to do everything. I definitely lacked some skill in the improv bit tho lol 😂 they’re not looking for amazing dancers, they’re looking for potential. The height of your leg/flexibility does not matter one bit! xx
Charlotte fallart thankyou gal! In ballet it was double pirouettes from 5th and 4th position. I had to do two chenés in the jazz tec combo and then there were a few double chenés in the routine so not too bad! You could do any style you wanted for improv but it’s the same music so depends if you wanted to make it fit or not. It was commercial style song so I made the mistake thinking my improv had to be fast which didnt have to be the case. love your video! did you have to wear jazz shoes or did some people go barefoot? and did you wear the same leotard for ballet and jazz? x
Definitely keep the same leo on for all dance classes so that they remember you throughout the day x
