A personal thank you to all the volunteers and mill owners for taking personal care of this ancient steam locomotive. So beautiful one could imagine the engine burning fuel, bellowing out black smoke, whistle blowing and spouting steam as it goes along the tracks from the sugar cane field to the sugar processing mill. Again a thank you to Ahmad for this efforts cleaning and painting this wonderful steam engine. If it is not taken care of it will rust down to a pile of scrap iron, gone forever. A very enjoyable video..... In a way, your videos preserve the steam engines and tracks for future viewers to enjoy. I sadly remember your video showing a mill scrapping it's old steam engines. Hopefully someone purchased them and restored them for future people to look at and enjoy the past history of cutting/transporting and processing the sugar cane thereby adding to the richness of a bygone era. It would be wonderful to see a picture of this steam locomotive on each and every package of sugar coming out of this mill......

I think it is very difficult for enthusiasts to be able to maintain or purchase a steam locomotive from a sugar mill. The bureaucracy is very complicated and convoluted. In fact, if the steam locomotive is no longer used in the sugar mill, it is certain that the locomotive will be increasingly damaged and its parts will disappear little by little 'mysteriously', there are many examples.
However, I hope that everything will change over time, enthusiasts can get access to maintain or purchase it. Or even the sugar mill itself maintains it.

Alangkah bahagianya klo di Indonesia bisa ada miniatur railway/ garden railway dengan model lokomotif 5 inch seperti di Inggris dan Jerman

baru sadar, ternyata ukuran piston loko uap cuma sekitar 20-30cm aja ya. 2 piston per loko mampu menarik lori tebu puluhan gerbong kalau dipikir2 mind blowing juga.
