- Hey loves!! Yup, so this happened! Another amazing thing about this experience is that a few friends of mine had a very similar experience on the very same night. We talk about it on their podcast so I'll link it below! Having encounters like this is what makes the world of the fae so scary to some people, but like I said, what is scary to us is probably very common to them. We have fearful images thrust into our heads as children. The boogeyman and monsters under our beds and other things that fairy tales and children's song talk about make us afraid of things that look a certain way, but that doesn't always mean that they are evil 🤷🏾♀️ I'm excited to read your experiences in the comments and as always please check ck out Scary Fairy Godmother's channel where she reads lots of scary and super interesting experiences with the fae 👌🏾

I couldn't handle this. I have a rule with spirits that they aren't allowed to mess with me while I'm sleeping. And this just reaffirms my fears about working with the fae. They don't have boundaries and I need boundaries.
Yeah I totally understand this! I was quite shocked because I've set boundaries and hadn't had this kind of encounter before 😳
Yes I make a rule with them in my house that they may be in my kitchen & living room only. I have done psychedelics alone & interacted with the fae & its pretty weird lol. Sometimes it's fun to see what's on the other side.

About every third night I’ll wake up around 4am and lay in bed trying to go back to sleep. This has been going on for about a year. There will be a “Hey” as if it’s coming from underneath my pillow. Then a warmth spreading across my torso and resting over my heart. Like I’m being hugged from behind. (I sleep alone)
It used to scare the dickens out of me. But now I’ve come to just....except it? Since I’ve started being less adverse to the experience I’ve been having vivid dreams of levitating and going to a fairy realm on the nights when it visits. It is in my dreams, playing along, standing watch. It looks like a faun/satyr, hairy and more beast like then human. I call it Clover, especially after my night from hell happened.
I’d kept waking up from nightmare after nightmare to the sounds of very deep laughter. There were swirling faces around the room. There was a humming, like the air itself was buzzing/electric. The room felt like a low level earthquake. I couldn’t move, just in total panic, sweating, with the feeling of doom. Like this night was going to last forever.
Clover came and draped over me like some sort of shield. Some of my songs from childhood would pop in my head. Sometimes I would hear ocean sounds. A reminder to “just breath.” “If you still can breath, your still alive.”
That sunrise was the best thing I’d ever seen. Now I sleep with wards and talismans. There are things that go bump in the night, but not all are out to do harm. Thanks for posting this. I don’t feel so alone in the stranger/scary experiences now.
Occasionally when I try to go to sleep I'll hear some inhumanly high pitched laughter for a split second, or a growling dog sound right next to me even though I don't have dogs, and one that's actually a bit more off-putting is a sound like a woman singing some languageless melody at the edge of hearing.

Such an interesting experience! Although I keep picturing the two creatures watching your video together : one saying " i'm not scary , do you think I' m scary?!" And the other creature, "No-o. Totally not scary." And then, " Gee. I thought we were cute". Lol.

To be honest I think the cat-like one was cute. If I saw that at the end of my bed I'd be a lot less scared than I'd be if I saw the other one.
The face kinda reminds me of the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland

I wonder if every time we can't remember our dreams it's because these guys took them... but since most of us can't see the fae, we just think we didn't remember our dreams.
I kinda like the thought of these guys stealing our nightmares so we don't have to deal with the fear they cause
I think it's just the brain trying to save memory space. If you try to remember your dreams as soon as you wake up, before even moving, you will remember most of the time. But if instead you start thinking about the day ahead right away, those thoughts takes priority and dream memories are erased, maybe because they're not strictly necessary for our survival. It also depends on the sleep cycle. If you wake up naturally right after REM sleep, which is when dreams happen, it's much easier to remember dreams. If the alarm wakes you while you're in deep sleep, it can be hard.
okay, so i'm from southeast asia & this reminded me of my big brothers' story about a time when they saw something very similar to what you drew. There's more to the story but basically they saw something hairy, like a monkey, just like you mentioned. They were really young back then so their recollection wasn't as detailed as yours xD
here we call them "kapre," they live in trees, sometimes called tree giants & love smoking tabacco, what my brothers saw was a child since it was small, maybe wanted to be friends with them or somethin lol. They're a type of 'engkanto' (meaning the 'enchanted') which i think is our equivalent way of calling the fae. It's nice to see the similarities across the world :))

How tall were they? Short like a child? Or just a bit bigger. I think I know the kind of Faeries you might have scene. If they are the size of a toddler, the moon with the more masculine look may have been a Hobgoblin, also called Hobs and house goblins (not to be confused with house elves). And the other one may have been a cat sith, a fairy from Scottish lore. Both do act in strange ways around humans, neither really intending harm or ill will, but still mischievous.
The scary encounters I've had tend to come from me, whenever I start feeling paranoid that a spirit is with me I try to be comforting and kind and it pretty much always turns out to be my shadow self trying to get my attention about a specific anxiety -_-
This is why I warn people to educate themselves on them before they work with them, it’s a very invasive experience and you can’t just leave sometimes depending on the kind of contract you have with them. You kinda have to be ready to deal with this, it’s kind of like a “is your skin thick enough for this” ordeal. This definitely doesn’t apply to you of course!! This is very interesting, I love this. They definitely do like to fuck with people, they know exactly what that stare does to people. It’s funny to them! 😭💗💗💗
its funny you say that because from very similar experiences i get the feeling its a bit if a sick joke to them but also a test if you fear then your fun and games but when you know whats what you gain their respect but i definately think the face or grimace is intentional and they know what theyre doing
The one that doesn't look like a cat looks very similar to the ones I use to see as a child, they also stood at the end of my bed and it was always when I was having nightmares. I always thought they were nightmare causing monsters. I never stopped to think they could be fae because of how people described fairies to me when I was a kid, typical stereo type ones. It wasn't until I got older when I started seeing what looked like fast golden almost lightning bolts in some trees we had planted in the park across from our house for all the babies born in the area that year that I realize this was what they can look like. I would sit with my little sister for ages just watching them. They moved so fast. Thank you for sharing this, it's made me feel validation for the things I saw as a child and now I can put the `it's just your imagination` comments behind me.

Ugh. This is exactly why I set and reinstate my boundaries every night before I sleep. I want it to be my own personal safe haven, not a space to share with other things even if I know they're not going to hurt me. We can coexist and respect each other, but I don't want you sitting on my bed with me while I'm trying to sleep. Hahaha.
Thanks so much for sharing this experience, wow!! I can see how that would be frightening. I agree, we should never assume (however challenging it may be) that a beings intent is harmful just because they look strange or different to us.
Reminds me of when me and my sister were little there was a lime green face only that would tickle our feet to wake us in the middle of the night if they hung over the bed.
The face looked just like the more human like creature you drew. Like a creepy clown almost.. Round shaped head,, broad smile with shark teeth.
Both of us would see him. We even named him Mr. Boogety. Sometimes he would play peek at boo at the bottom edge of the bed or push up the bottom of our bed.
Really creepy in hindsight but at the time we took it as a game. We would even dare each other to stick our feet over the edge of the bed to see if he was there.. I still can't sleep without covers or with a limb hanging out til this day.😁

My fae stories are always mermaids messing & snatching our poles in the lakes as we fish! Even when the poles are sitting on land & not thrown out in the water they snatch out poles in the lakes still🤷🏽♀️

Careful mermaids are sirens its just like how people forgot that fae is the same thing as fairy so if you hear singing cover your ears or get away
You know I’m so glad you drew this! I had an experience a few months ago where I was chillin in my car and looked up at a tree and I saw these creatures- it reminded me of creatures from “where the wild things are.” And they were just staring at me and I never knew what that meant- and as I’m watching this video I’m getting chills because, the creature I saw formed in the tree looked just like what you are drawing!! 👀😲. I wonder what this means.. lol.

Omg! This type of thing I've dealt with since I was a kid, only at night. I can interact too... I've always looked for mental health issues as the cause. People think im cray when I talk about it.

I used to see figures VERY vividly all the time. Not as much anymore (or I kinda just ignore them). The first one I remember was very consistently a figure that would walk into my bedroom, and I can only describe them as looking like the And1 mascot (hopefully you know what I'm talking about lol). Human-like silhouette, but with zero facial features, and translucent white like Casper the ghost. Another one I remember seeing multiple times was a creature that crawled on the ceiling who was very dark with long hair. It was different from when I would have like hallucinations from being half-asleep, though. It was more vivid and I was more awake.
If I saw something like that, I would start to go to church every Sunday 😂

The two fae especially the one on the right reminds me of a pooka with all the hair / fur.
The other night my partner and I both had nightmares about cats being hurt. After mine I woke up at 2:50am and heard a small voice beside me. Since I'd watched your fae sight video my instant reaction was "is there a fae that hates cats and eats nightmares in here?" 🤣
I often get threatening dreams about my cat getting hurt too. Infact after that dream a crow actually pushed my cat off the roof and she always gets chased by birds lately. I think it calls for a little bit of iron to put on their collars for protection.

I personally think it would be a really scary experience for me to go through, because i don't fill to good when i fill something in my space/room and to see it it would be terrifying i don't even know if theirs is something but it really scares me and puts me in a shock state.
I was called to start watching your fae videos because I was having trouble sleeping and one night I saw a flash of a scary face as I was drifting off. It looked almost exactly like the fae on the left. I couldn’t tell if it was a cat or not because it had a hairless face but it had the ears, the nose and eyes. It had a giant scary smile. I sat up and it was gone.

As far as I know I have never had an encounter with the fae. Spirits/ghosts, yes all the time but not the fae.
They obviously didn’t care that you could see them.
Thank you for talking about this! I just started to read a new book about fairies, and there the author mentions, that most encounters with the Fae are pleasant and wondrous. Therefore I'm so glad about Brian Froud's books and videos like yours, who show the other side.

I see those swirls too! They’re silver with purple and blue hints to keep and instead of being long, I seem to catch bits as they move thru a curve of their swirling. I’ve seen them since I was Kittle and used to tell myself they were just the water on my eyes. It’s really validating too know others have these same experiences!

Actually, I have a bit of my own, which I always believed to be a demon or a shadow person. However, your fae videos gave me probably more accurate idea that the disembodied, black head I saw when I was 8, was a fae. It had red eyes, mouth with big teeth and something like little braids flowing on the bottom part of it. It lasted for 2 seconds and it is one of my strangest experiences. My culture doesn´t have a word for a fae, so all of this is very new.

This is wild. Love your drawing of them! I have nightmares on the reg & wondered if anything was feeding off of them. Iv only a mystery that I put out a bird bath in the garden near where I feed the wild birds & I found it broken but the remaining parts weighed down with an unusual rock that didn't look like any rocks in the garden. It was so pale & (raw) crystal like. My mum thinks it's a quartz maybe. Which would be funny if it is bc I'd been telling her I'd love a clear or smoky quartz after watching your videos!
It's a shared garden & so it could be the cute kids playing & leaving the rock there, of course. But it looked presented as a gift, deliberately placed on the middle of the two remaining pieces of metal of the bird bath, crossed over eachother.
I make sure to let the garden fae feel welcome and make everything else feels unwelcome. If they're living in trees outside them they can live in my houseplants if they found them accommodating. I dont let any element or animal sidhe/fae have any space by filling the entire space with garden fae. If the room is full, then nothing else can come in!
Also if they're strong enough to push out the garden fae I'm screwed either way! XD

I think I had a funny Fae moment yesterday. Firstly, a friend made me a natural fairy door that I glued on to a picture frame & decorated with glitter & flowers, etc. I hung it near the bedroom window, joking that I was going to get some mischievous visitors for it no doubt.
So I was wearing a headband on my hair, & I think it came off when I took my face mask off. I was only in the living room area when this happened, so I looked all around the area & shook my clothing around to see where it fell. Nothing. Simultaneously, my laundry finished in the dryer. So I stopped looking, grabbed the clothes & put them on my bed to start folding them. As I was folding a shirt, I was overtaken by an enthusiastic sneeze & I closed my eyes as it happened. So I didn't actually See what happened, but, while sneezing I reached over to put down the folded shirt then stood back upright & opened my eyes. As I reach for clothes, I see the aforementioned headband hanging loosely on my right wrist. ?? Where did that just come from, much less how did it get on my hand? What the what just happened??!!??!! I will never close my eyes when I sneeze again!!! I am still trying to figure out this one!
Can you possibly make a video about cats and their relationship to the fae? I have 3 cats but one of them I feel like is always looking at something. I've never worked with fae in my personal practice but have researched them a little but can never find much on cats and the fae.

I had a dream literally last night that I was in the faery realm on a 2 week long field trip and I ditched the whole class to spend time with the fae myself instead of following the stupid schedule and I met the caterpillar from alice and wonderland and he showed me that I had wings by blowing smoke on me, also all of the fae did look a bit shocking or scary to the rest of the class but for some reason to me, they looked familiar even though I didn't know any of them. It was quite a nice dream
Edit. I should also mention that I swear I saw a fae jump from my diffuser to my coat rack on the door at some point before I went to bed, but I wasn't sure. So I just dismissed it. It'd be really cool if the dream I had was because of a pixie or something

Oh my god i saw a similar thing as a kid!! It was a shadow figure with cat like ears with glowing yellow eyes!! Then it jumped "right thru" me. Lol
That is so interesting...I feel like i chalk it up to a vivid dreams. When I lived alone I remember waking up because is was dropped into my bed, I could feel being carried up then woke up from the drop, nothing would be fast enough to run away that fast and nobody was there. Couldn't explain it.

I've seen figures when I wake up in the night and they usually fade but similarly to your experience I had one night where i didn't fade away. It was a girl with long black hair and she didn't stand over my bed or in a corner like usual... her feet were on the floor but the front of her body was laying on the foot of my bed - I freaked out and yelled for my mom to turn the lights on and it vanished.

i have had a similar experience but there was only one thing, tbh i dont know what it was since i only found out about the fae not too long ago. but it was standing on the end of my bed and when i saw it i panicked and turned around and went back to sleep. but like it was just a dark figure like a shadow and i couldn't see its face so im not sure what it was. but like i really should start drawing the things i see.

One evening I was kind of in that place where you are asleep but aware and I saw these 2 very colorful but very small balls of light kind of floating and then this twisted and wooden hand reached for them and there was a high pitches squeak as the balls of light dodged the hand and then the rest of him(felt masculine) came into focus. He was wooden skinned he had branches on his head and once he realized I had been watching (it seemed s if I was on the outside looking in)his arm reached for me and it was like his arm extended the scale of the room. I can remember thinking as Loudly as I Could Hell No. and I jolt awake and I hear a song called changeling child by heather dale in my head. I was actually Humming it! And My toddler comes running into my room Shrieking and I can remember feeling like I NEEDED to grab him quickly so I scooped him up so fast and cast a circle. I don’t think I slept the rest of the night! I ended up sketching him out and scouring the web tryna figure out What it was. I found something called a spraggin that was almost identical to what I saw and drew... lets just say I have wards in place now😬 lots and lots of wards. And all of my at the time Very sudden curiosity about the fae was done with just like that🤣
Maybe they were Brownie that already live with you and wanted to communicate? They may have just thought you were incredibly beautiful and I’m sure knew you are “Fae friendly”💚🧚🏾♀️💚
Doing a tarot or oracle deck reading for yourself might be helpful. It could have been an omen of some sort.
You mentioned Scary Fairy Grandmother.. have you seen any of the Slapped Ham channel videos? Omg I think like a quarter to half of the ghost or cryptid sightings are very obviously Fae or Nature Spirits. Probably not something to watch with kids tho. Not graphic but might give them nightmares
I saw 2 tall figures in my room last week. they didn't have faces but one was wearing a top hat
I saw a man with a top hat standing at the end of my bed once when I was astral projecting! It was a tall dark figure. Almost looked like he was wearing a cape or something long and black. I heard a voice in my head saying words all jumbled up. It got louder and louder until it was screaming in my right ear and I woke up. My right ear hurt for about an hour after that happened and I couldn’t go back to sleep lol
Along with the words I was hearing what sounded like a radio signal trying to get a signal. It was really odd

Through out my life I have been seeing spirits and not just orbs or what not I mean a whole person but with a glow around them so I knew that they were spirits. I saw faires , ghost , and even had an encounter with an evil spirit while I was astral projecting. I see soooo much and it literary never scares me at all but the one thing that I am scared of are aliens 😩 I would be terrified to see one EDIT the same gold fairy that I've seen before made an appearance last night and when I saw her she ran and disappeared lol and a brown hairy thing with cute big eyes was laying on my sister just relaxing until I saw it and it got frightened and ran away. I think it was a brownie.
Really? Nothing to fear I've had an encounter with one, and he was sooo full of love and light and so very kind. And he wasn't scary looking and only a hair taller than me with big beautiful eyes that glistened from the light by the moon. Most are very kind. Hope this helps.🥰

I had something pretty similar happen to me a few years ago, and after seeing this it makes more sense what I was seeing. I thought I had sleep paralysis but I was still able to move. Keep in mind I wasn’t very educated on the Fae and otherworldly beings and stuff like that (you’ll see why I said this later lol) but I woke up all at once in bed, and I opened my eyes and saw a small figure about the height of a child standing next me me by my bed. My bed was pretty high off the ground so I was actually looking down at it. I remember everything in the room looking mostly normal. The figure was standing there watching me, not in a menacing way either but almost a polite sort of way like they were waiting for something. Unfortunately my reaction was to sit up immediately and swing on it LOL. And I don’t remember what happened after that, I just woke up the next morning and remembered that as clear as day. I wish I didn’t swing on it lol 😂

One time i woke up in the middle of the night and saw a shadow outline of a human standing at the side of my bed watching me. It didn't have any characteristics or anything, it was just an outline. I think I was like 11 or 12. I also love all of your videos!!
So freaky! Recently I have been going on walks at night. And as I'm walking by street lights they go out as I pass each one. I've started working on my practice more recently and this has been occring much more now. Can anyone help with answers? Or explain what is going on? (:
I’ve heard of people called sliders I think or some word similar. That basically your energy effects and messes with technology or electricity. One girl was this way and had to get a new laptop every year cuz she would fry hers just by being around it. Same happened to someone else with their watches breaking and having lights go out or music stop working at every shop they went in.
That’s not necessarily what you are but a possibility.
I also have no idea how accurate or true those stories are. I just have some spiritual buddies who taught me about some people being like that.

I see things at around 3 or 4 am.. Its like an block octopus tentacles but more fluid texture .. Its only been happening for a little while now and my cat are obsessed there the tentacles go.. Now I don't see them as much but my cats try and get in where the tentacles go at the same time around 3 or 4 every night now.
so fascinating. I actually did share with my 5 yr old daughter that I "found someone on YT that has actually seen fairies but she says they're not like the movies and they dont all like humans" and my daughter was intrigued but just kinda confused too. And i realized that 5 is definitely too young to start including her in this. Its like, you want so badly to tell them, yes! fairies ARE really! Really! But then your like, oh... wait, im guna burst her Tinkerbell bubble and make her think a fairy monster is guna eat her at night. So its frustrating to wanna tell them so badly but not be able to.

No idea if they are fae related but both freaked me out. When I was a child jumping on the sofa my foot got stuck inbetween the cushion. Something was grabbing my leg and wouldn’t let me go. I called for my mom and once she entered the room I could get my foot out. After she calmed me down I tried to prove to her I wasn’t lying. I was so annoyed and confused that I couldn’t prove that I wasn’t lying. This never happened again.
This happened like a year ago. Me and my friends were hanging out. And I swear to god I saw a wolf running straight for me. When I screamed everyone was wondering what scared me. I was surprised when no one else saw what I saw. I thought my brain was playing tricks on me.

Yup! Either that, or people taken by the fae, or shadows of other dimensional creatures alongside ours

I'm new to learning about the fae, It's been popping up for me in various ways to look into and I found you, thank you for sharing your knowledge and information also this video made me realize I might have seen one but it looked like a spider creature, I had woke up and looked right at it, couldn't believe what I saw and it disappeared behind my shoe. Do you know of faes resembling such?

I woke up one night and there was 2 figures standing at the top of the stairs (where my bed was) and the one on the right was in a wheelchair and the one on the left was pushing it, and their faces were VERY similar to these.. ??
I saw something not long ago it sorta looked like a dark skined fairy or a dark elf beside my bed

Yes I had a very scary encounter. I made a batch of muffins that I gave to the fae. That same night I got a very threatening violent dream that my spine got broken because I gave them muffins instead of cookies. I don’t know what to do now, because they also been leaving me feathers, I decided not to take the feathers after that dream. I thought I had a good connection with them until that, I was so shocked and sad 😢 they always left me rocks, shells, random objects, feathers. I had only taken feathers before but nothing else. I won’t take those feathers anymore after that.

So I see fae as balls of light, haven't been blessed to see any take form. Well I had a fairy alter in my home once, and I'd notice when something "bad" would happen like I'd burn my hand while cooking or break something glass, a tiny black orb would zoom away! I'm not sure if they are the cause of such events or if they feed off the energy or if they are drawn to witenessing the events. If you haven't read the book Tithe please do! It's lovely. About a girl who was a changeling & her story. I have rarely seen the orbs, often in nature around water besides the black ones in my home. I have rules now haha.
I don't know why I'm so mysticised by them! Maybe it's my romantic idea of them, or maybe it's a pull from the universe to work with them. I have done a reading with a channelor I trust & she said that I have had many past lives as fae.. not on earth but on the Pleadian planet! I never thought of fae on other planets but it makes sense. She even said my female gaurdian angel is fae like & she's never seen an angel like that before.

my story isn’t exactly scary but it was startling for me to experience since i’d never had anything like it happen to me before. basically, i have an old music box on my apollo alter (it plays once upon a dream and has fae depictions on it) and i woke up at about 3:00 am to it being played. i heard it being wound up just a little bit (which is what woke me up in the first place; i’m a light sleeper and the wind up bit is pretty loud) and the song started playing for a few seconds. after about 2 seconds and i was aware enough to process what was happening i checked around to see if my brother/parents were in my room since i sleep with my door closed and it was cracked open the tiniest bit. no one was in my room with me, and i had gotten the strongest feeling that the fae were in the room with my, i just couldn’t see them/they weren’t comfortable enough for me to perceive them yet. it was startling in the moment, but after i had fallen asleep and woken up again it was really a magical experience (pun intended.)
Is there any particular reason that you didn't try to talk to them? I'm just so curious about what they were doing. Super fascinating.

I had an experience as a kid where I wad sleeping at our family farm. In the room I was in I believe me and my cousin were in the twin beds and also in the room I think my parents might have been sleeping in the queen bed in there? Anyways, I saw these little... brightly colored, bowling-pin-esque shaped little... things? Kinda like the pikmin videogame but a bit different? They each had eyes and they appeared under the other beds??? I've also seen black wolves with glowing red eyes, a weird and horrifying half skeletal ghost thing, and the dark shadow. Idk if they are all fae but yeah. I've also seen a ghost! And interacted with a few other ghosts but only seen the one.
